A Delightful Visit

Just finished up a week long visit to Mira Mar and as I had relied on previous visitors overwhelmingly positive reviews, I felt compelled to write my own. The cottage is cute with great street appeal, quite nicer than other properties on the street. It is clean and contemporary with a modern kitchen and bath. The wonderful outdoor patio is truly private with tall bamboo, ferns and plants giving you a true SO CAL vibe. You only need to hope that adjacent neighbors are moderately quiet. Surfboards, bikes and other fun stuff demonstrate how Robert the owners wanted to put all the necessary toys at your fingertips. This is a premier VRBO unit!

The Perfect Little Beach Bungalow

This is a cozy (i.e. small) bungalow on a quiet dead-end street just off the Strand. It's in immaculate condition and looks recently remodeled. You can hear (but not see) the ocean from the house and it's a 30-second walk to the beach. The Strand is a one-way road with little vehicle traffic and lots of bikes and pedestrians that separates the beach from beachfront houses and condo complexes. This bungalow is just behind the first row of houses. It's about a half-mile from Oceanside Pier. We stayed in the winter and the weather was gorgeous.

This is my third time to my home away from home and I fall in love with it a little more each time! The weather is great, Robert and Suzy are the best and you won't find a better more accessible place in the strand! Already planning my next trip and I just got home!

Renting this beach house was the best choice we made for our vacation. This house is 2 seconds from the beach. At night you can hear the ocean. We had a great time here and next time we are in Oceanside will definitely be renting again. I can't say enough about how amazing the owners are and completely available if you need anything. Don't hesitate in renting this house at all.

My husband and I recently rented this lovely little house (5-27-6/3/11). It was quiet, comfortable, well-kept and convenient to everything. The back yard is a private oasis from the hustle and bustle of the beach. Kitchen stocked with everything we needed, bathroom large and nicely appointed. Very handy to have the stackable washer & dryer, so you can pack lightly. Beach cruiser bikes were fun and we rode them daily. Robert was helpful answering our questions before we arrived via e-mail and was readily available when we arrived & had a few questions. As a former O'side resident (1970s), I was anxious to return and see if my beloved town had changed. Happy to report that O'side is better than ever and still captivating. The beach is magnificent, as always, and the pier neighborhoods much more upscale than in the past. O'side is a perfect jumping-off point to explore San Diego & environs. In a week, we explored from San Diego north to Laguna Niguel and spent an afternoon in Julian also. Can't recommend O'side enough as the perfect beach destination. Farmers Market every Thurs. morning & street market Thurs. afternoons/evenings is not to be missed. We will definitely return and highly recommend Robert & Susie's charming beach cottage.

This is now my second time in this beautiful, wonderful, fabulous condo! There will definitely be a 3rd,4th, and so on more! Completely relaxing, great owner, couldn't be better for thos who love the beach and all it has to offer!

The place is even better than the pictures show! The condo is beautiful, the walk to the beach is about 20 steps from the front door! The jacuzzi is fantastic, the house has all amenities that you could ask for! The owner is more than fantastic and this will be my yearly trip!!!!! If you are looking for beach access, a great place to come home too, easy access to everything, this is the place you want to be in.

Spent two weeks in this small tropical beach house. If you have dreamed of staying in a true beach house with all the modern amenities, this is your place. When you are not at the beach or sightseeing you have your owm tropical beach patio that is a great extension to the house to come home to. It was so convenient to be able to shower off yourself and boards in the hot outside shower, slip into the hot tub and later barbeque and then enjoy a drink in your own private tropical surroundings. Everything is within walking distance.

Our vacation at this rental was the best California vacation we have ever had. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular. We stayed for two weeks and will be returning as much as possible. The location is perfect. The pictures reflect exactly what the beach house looks like. We went to Catalina Island and La Jolla to Scuba Dive, walked the beach daily, went bike riding on the beach cruisers daily, enjoyed the hot tub, used the grill, enjoyed the music outside on the speakers, used the boogie boards, surf boards and more. The appliances and electronics are top notch. The outside hot/cold shower is wonderful and a must have to de-sand. We made great friends and will be coming back every year and hopefully more. Running across this rental was the best find and we would recommend experiencing Oceanside California while staying at what we call the 'Gorgeous Luxury Villa'.

My stay here was delightful--the cottage is beautiful and charming, close to the beach, with a very nice private patio -- the owner's were particularly easy and friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place and I plan to return there on my next visit to Oceanside.

House was just as advertised and better! Great private location seconds from the beach [North of pier] which is great for families. Perfect for extended family to hang at the beach, have lunch, dinner, or whatever then have extended family depart. The hosts were very accomodating and great to work with. Highly recommend this location!!

We rented this property over Easter 2010 weekend to be close to my inlaws time share. This place was so great everyone hung out here for the entire weekend. We had Easter Brunch outside in the tropical backyard. We didn't want to leave! We will definately be returning and would recommend this property to everyone.
