At sunrise, access our pool for a wake up swim just steps from your bedroom. Shower in our colorfully custom tiled and spacious bathrooms. Have breakfast on our covered patio outside the kitchen. Enjoy lunch, snacks or drinks on our poolside patio equipped with kitchenette. When you eat in for dinner, linger under our covered, poolside hacienda patio. Nap, read, visit, or enjoy DVDs in our living or entertainment area.
Venture out for a walk along Bucerias' beautiful beach that extends several miles south toward Puerto Vallarta and north toward La Cruz, and that offers water activities, horseback riding, food and drink venues, local celebratory activities like weddings and clam bakes, and access to Bucerias Centro.
Explore the nearby, vibrant town center with its historic square and nearby open air market featuring native crafts. Discover some of the colorful restaurants that offer everything from great Mexican to internationally diverse, quality cuisine. Year Purchased: 2009
Sandy and Roger fell in love with the Bay of Banderas and Bucerias, as well as Puerto Vallarta and other coastal venues several years ago. When not working in northern California, they split their vacation time at their enchanting Bucerias casa, as well as traveling in Mediterranean Europe. They speak some French and are learning Spanish.
Why the Owner Chose Bucerias
When we shared our dream of owning a home on the Bay of Banderas with friends who have a home there, they showed us their favorite property which happened to be for sale. It was love at first sight! Collaborating with excellent local contractors, we transformed the inside decor, built an inviting pool and re-landscaped most of the property. As much as we love our primary home in California, we long for Casa Encantadora between our frequent stays there.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our casa is a festive yet relaxing retreat which, like a mini-spa, warms and feeds our spirit. We love staying in a real neighborhood with a mix of north Americans and established Mexican families. Yet we are only a short walk from Bucerias' white sand beach and great restaurants, as well as a short drive from many world class venues in and near Puerto Vallarta. We love the indoor-outdoor feel of our casa and enjoy the tropical afternoon breezes from the Pacific and the ever-moving air from the eight ceiling fans inside the casa and on two of our three patios. One of the many local treats is the nearby Sunday outdoor market for fresh produce. Local taxis, buses and getting around on foot are a great way of exploring the charm of the area. Car rental is of course also available.
