I spent 10 days at Casa Encantadora in October 2011. This property is absolutely amazing. The house, yard and pool are spotless. The beds are very comfortable, and the home is tastefully decorated and furnished. Its a sanctuary for rest and relaxation. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location is a couple of blocks off the main highway. You can walk anywhere in Bucerias from it. There's a small convenience store a couple blocks away for groceries, or if you prefer, you can take a taxi to the Mega for a major shopping trip. Taxi fare is about $2 USD. During this time, a hurricane landed about 100 kms south of Bucerias. Linda, the property manager, came and had all the outdoor furniture moved into the house for a couple of days. Linda is great to deal with....charming, genuine and a wonderful sense of humor. Passing the time pool side watching, butterflies, hummingbirds and a small lizard every day was a great way to relax, along with a cold beer! Thanks to Sandy and Roger for sharing their home!

We stayed at this beautiful casa for 2 weeks in August 2011. The property was spotless, the pool, garden, and home extremely comfortable with excellent furnishings, kitchen supplies, etc. Relaxing on the patios watching the birds, butterflies and lizards was a perfect way to recharge. Linda was wonderfully welcoming and helpful.
Owner response:We are so pleased to know that all of our hard work and attention to detail does not go unnoticed as we continually enhance our casa for all those who visit.

You have created an amazing retreat! We loved coming “home” after wandering on the beach and all over Bucerias. We were totally relaxed beside your pool and in your beautiful gardens and comfortable furnishings. The lovely colors in the hacienda seemed to magically change as the sun shown in from different directions. It was difficult to pull ourselves away from this peaceful place, but we spent a day on a sailboat to the Marietas Islands, whale and bird watching (“Pegaso” through J&D Tours), visiting friends south of Puerto Vallarta (a six-bus adventure!), and a bus trip to Sayulita (120pecos/person/each way), besides our numerous walks to the beach. Thanks, also, to Linda for a wonderful welcome and orientation. The shrimp from the fish market was delicious, as were the fresh tortillas from Gloria’s Than you for all your special touches--you thought of everything. We feel so fortunate to have found you!
Owner response:Reviews iike this confirm that we have hit our mark to provide a restful, homelike, beautiful, private retreat for guests who combine R&R time at our casa with explorations or adventures on our beautiful beach, in town or along our Bay of Banderas/Riviera Nayarit. We continue to enhance our casa and grounds for our own pleasure and for peaceful and relaxing times for our guests.

Your charming home away from home was exactly what we expected and more - we totally relaxed while staying there and that is what we both needed this year. It is so very clean and had the privacy we enjoy. The level of detail in making it "home" was beyond expectations. Your property manager was very friendly and took care of one small item the very same day we called her. Your web site has wonderful pictures but they don't do your casa quite enough justice as it is almost perfect!!
Owner response:We are so pleased to hear about all the items that make stays so comfortable. We take great pride in every aspect of our casa and encourage renters to notify us whenever there is a concern or problem.

My girlfriend and I chose Casa Encantadora over a resort hotel because we we were looking for lodging that was in the city (more "authentic" living space) but still provided privacy and safety. The listing description and photos hardly do the home justice! As soon as we walked into the courtyard we were both absolutely blown away. The beautiful landscaping honestly looks like a tropical oasis. And the home itself is extremely well groomed with a cozy feel. Literally, the only improvement we thought of would be having air conditioning. We used fans which were perfectly fine while we were up and about. But sleeping in the heat took a few days to get used to. Everything we wanted to do was within short walking distance. The beach, local shopping, restaurants, bus stops, small conveniences stores and a bank. I would recommend this property to any and everyone. Sandy and Roger are fantastic about providing information about Bucerias before you arrive. Linda, the property manager, was phenomenal about helping out in any way while we were there.
Owner response:We appreciate the enthusiasm about our landscaping and cozy feel our casa. Although air conditioning is not needed for much of the high season, we have added A/R units in both bedrooms for nights when the fans might not quite make some of our guests comfortable enough to sleep easily.

Thanks for creating a truly enchanted setting. We had a wonderful time pool side watching the sun cross the sky as well as watching the wild life. "Iggy" the iguana paid us a brief visit and a local bird thinks that the pool is his new birdbath. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking several meals in. Loved the compact BBQ by the pool. We enjoyed the Bucerias beach and our day trip to the market at La Penita. As you can tell from the comments, we had a wonderful stay.

Congratulations on the superb job you have done in creating the Casa and its setting. It's a great place to be, a tranquil refuge. And Linda, of course was a reassuring presence throughout our stay. We particularly appreciated the way she stayed there to welcome us even though our flight was several hours late. We also found your advice on places to eat invaluable. Your Casa is close to perfection. Thanks again, we really enjoyed it.

On arrival what a welcome we received from Linda (property manager)-a charming lady with a wonderful sense of humour. Our stay was awesome, restful nights on a comfortable bed, an inviting swimming pool that we could not resist, a great BBQ area, truly a home away from home. Thank you so much Roger & Sandy.

We can hardly wait to plan our next vacation! And thanks to Linda too-one couldn't ask for someone more welcoming.
