Large mountain home, built in 2006, which has amazing views from every window. The home is only 5 minutes from the slopes of Windham, and rests on 21 acres of secluded land without another house in sight. And that's basically why we chose this home - it is the perfect combination of solitude, breathtaking views, and proximity to slopes and village.
The home itself is immaculate - it sleeps up to 14, with a master bedroom on the main floor with king-sized bed with high-quality linens, down pillows and down duvet. All beds have pillow-top mattresses and quality linens, down duvets and good pillows for your slumber comfort. The master bathroom is large with jacuzzi bathtub and shower, double vanity, and large walk-in closet.
Also on this floor is the main living room, awash in light from the multitude of windows, with plenty of comfortable sitting areas for a large group. Dining table seats 8-10, with an additional six seats at the bar. Highlight of this room, apart from the views, is the large stone gas fireplace. Bring you iPod or MP3 and connect with the Bose soundwave system.
As for the kitchen, the owner is a French-trained chef, which translates into top-of-the-line appliances, and everything you need to serve a gourmet feast. The main floor also includes a powder room and ample coat closet.
Upstairs is a queen-bed bedroom, a large bathroom with double vanity, and a separate shower/toilet room. Also on the upper floor is a 4-person bunk room perfect for kids, with TV(no satellite)/DVD and toys. Outside the bedrooms on this floor is a large loft overlooking the living area, complete with a sitting area furnished with Balinese furniture, perfect for reading a book and drinking a cup of tea or a glass of wine. The kids will enjoy putting on a puppet show with the wooden puppet theater up there.
Downstairs is perfect for relaxing, with radiant heat, 5.1 surround-sound, and a 50" 1080i HD/DVD system. There is also room for the kids to play down here. The third bedroom is also located here, with a full bath, two bunk beds (sleeping 4), PLUS a trundle bed that can serve as either a king or two twin beds. Lastly is a mud room stocked with sleds, and perfect for coming/going to the snowy meadow.
All gas, oil, electricity and long-distance phone are included, as is plowing. We also include a premium-parking pass AND ski locker storage at Windham's 3500 club, allowing you to ski in style with a minimum of fuss.
This house has been our project for the last three years, and we typically spend a third of our weekends up here.
