The owner and onsite manager were both very helpful throughout the week as we had questions about the condo and local activities. Transfers to and from the airport were easy and included in the rate (taxi would cost about 12-15 USD per person). The only reason I don't rate this condo excellent is that I like to be within walking distance of restaurants and bars, otherwise everything was perfect. With that being said, there was a pool bar/restaurant located at the nearby sapphire village and we never waited more than 5 minutes for a cab into Redhook (2-4 USD per person). Our favorite restaurant in Redhook was Fishtails, located just off the main strip by the ferry terminal. We went out with Captain Tom of Pirate Bay charters (docked at the Sapphire Marina) on a snorkel charter/BVI beach bar crawl and had a great time. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to St Thomas!

Just finished 2 weeks staying at Villa Bonne Vie.What a great condo and superb beach.Everything was just like it was described on web site.Christina was wonderful in providing all kinds of info prior to our arrival and even stayed in touch with us during our stay.we have travelled all over the Carribean and Mexico and Sapphire Beach would rank at or near the top.Would highly recommend Villa Bonne Vie as a place to stay.Close to Red Hook for ferry and shopping and several good resturants.Hoping to be back in 2013.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay in the Villa Bonne Vie condo. The pictures from the internet listings were exactly what the condo looked like and what our views of beautiful St Thomas were. We have traveled to places before that don't look as nice as the pictures posted, but this condo was exactly like we hoped. We had an issue with the upstairs A/C the first night we arrived, and Christina had someone there to fix it the very next morning. Her customer service was excellent, and she even called us on the night we arrived to make sure we got picked up from the airport on time. It's those little things that can really make a vacation stress-free and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this condo and the area is just beautiful for relaxing or heading to Red Hook for great food and drinks. Thanks for a great vacation Christina.

superb week of relaxation

My husband and I just returned from 10 days at Villa Bonne Vie, 1/27/12-2/8/12. The owner was very helpful in providing information on the condo, the beach community, and the area before our visit. We felt well prepared before we arrived. Being met at the airport and having transportation back was a big plus since we did not wish to rent a car. The condo itself is in a prime location, on the beach, but separated from where the day visitors arrive. Having our chairs put out first thing is welcomed and needed. Inside it is nicely updated, decorated, and equipped. Little extras like beach bags and surplus towels were very nice since we did not have to carry them with us. Any questions were promptly answered by the owner who stayed in contact throughout our visit. It is obvious that the owner cares about the condo and about the guests.

Sapphire Beach-Villa Bonne Vie Condo

This is perhaps the best spot to stay on St. Thomas! We stayed here over Christmas and after touring around the island and nearby St. Johns, we realized that it was, indeed, the best beach and the best spot to be! The condo is nicely updated, the location can't be beat, the complimentary transportation by Sam was very much appreciated and the owner answered any questions we had while there. The free Wifi was appreciated as was the free local phone calls to make dinner reservations. The condo is further from the main town, which is a big plus, but close to Red Hook where there is the ferry to nearby islands as well as several good restaurants, shops and grocery. What more could you wish for? Oh wait, the snorkelling was fabulous! We are divers and yet we snorkelled everyday to see the large manta rays and turtles plus many brightly coloured fish! We were only two people to enjoy such a lovely condo, loved the space and everything about it, especially the combination lock so that we didn't have to worry about carrying around a key! We just wish we had a few more quiet days to spend and relax just on Sapphire Beach and if we had to do it over again, wouldn't go anywhere else! Villa Bonnie Vie

We enjoyed our stay. The view and access to the beach was excellent. Wonderful snorkeling area, Sea Turtles, Sting Rays, and various fish seen with in 100 yards of shore. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Villa Bonne Vie from 7/11 through 7/19. Christina was very helpful and responsive to questions in the weeks leading up to our trip and while we were on the island. The complimentary transportation to and from the airport was a huge plus. Sam was very cordial, and offered to take us to K Mart in addition to the grocery store when our luggage was lost for a day. We are a family of 5, with 3 boys ranging from 17 to 7. I did extensive research beforehand looking for a reasonably priced, beachfront condo with great snorkeling, and Villa Bonne Vie did not disappoint! The view of St. John from the balconies is breathtaking. We have been to many Caribbean islands and have never experienced better snorkeling right off the beach. We swam with stingrays and sea turtles every day. Sapphire Beach Resort is very close to the ferry to St. John in addition to many great restaurants. We ate at Agave Terrace, Lattitude 18, and Coco Blue. The condo was immaculate when we got there, but there was no mid-week maid service that others have referenced. We had an issue with one of the sinks in the downstairs bathroom not draining, and Sam was there the next day to fix it. The cell phone was another nice perk. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and we're very glad we chose Villa Bonne Vie for our vacation!

Sapphire Beach

We have travelled to St. Thomas in the past but when we found Sapphire Beach we fell in love. We wanted to go back and found Christina was renting her Villa, and would accomodate our family. I loved being able to sit out on the patio at night and seeing the lights of St. John. Her Villa was not only clean but also remolded. She was helpful in respects to being knowledgable about the island. The information she forward us on places to eat, things to do, places to shop was very helpful for us to plan our vacation. Any questions we may have had, she answered without hestiation. We plan on renting from her in the future. Thanks Christina

We just returned from a week in St. Thomas and Villa Bon Vie. In one word...WOW! We rented three condos at Sapphire. All nicely updated but none of them were as nice as this one. This condo is so nicely renovated. I wish my home had the updates this condo had. Not only is this condo nice but the owners make it so much better. Christine kept in contact with me before, during and after our vacation. She was so wonderful to work with. She provided us with a very nice booklet she has made about St. Thomas, where to eat, what to do and the snorkeling right at Sapphire. We were provided with airport pick up and drop off by Sam, who was a delight and we received the best midweek cleaning I have ever gotten anywhere. Sapphire Beach is beautiful. I have seen reviews that state some of the resort is in disrepair which honestly had me a little concerned. I don't understand what these reviews are talking about. I found no fault with this resort at all! We thought it was a really nice place. The restaurant is closed but it's not out where it's standing out. It's kind of tucked back in. Yes, a restaurant would possibly be nice but it would also take away from the quiet peacefulness of the resort. The snack stand provided great food and beverages. There were multiple runners on the beach to take orders and bring you drinks. There are plenty of restaurants one mile away in Red Hook anyway. The dive shop guys were really friendly and the gear was in really good condition. I saw a lot of fish and turtles. Some nice coral further out. It's a shame people don't understand it's a living thing and they kill it when they step on it. A definite thumbs up to Sapphire Beach, Villa Bon Vie and Christine. Thank you so, so much for helping make our vacation so great!!!

This was our 2nd consecutive year to rent Villa Bonne Vie and just cant say enough good things about the condo, Sapphire Beach, and the owners. The new kitchen we discovered this year was very very nice.. and amenities are complete. Fabulous both having a microwave/convection oven in the kitchen plus the electric grill on the balcony/deck. The vista of the beach front is wonderful, especially from the master suite upstairs. You'll find the beachfront never too crowded- extremely easy to sun, swim, snorkel, and play at. We like the laid back nature of this beach and the proximity to Red Hook for eating out and for shopping. The property manager picked us up and dropped us off at the airport- promptly and efficiently. His courtesy and personal knowledge of the area will impress you. The owners have thought of everything and provide you with excellent communications, a wealth of information, too, so it all lends to a very relaxed and carefree stay in a beautiful unit. We will return to Villa Bonne Vie again, and can say that we readily recognize the owners are committed to insuring you will not be disappointed. We appreciated every aspect of the stay this year. Thank you very much for making it something to look forward to again!

Wonderful Stay at Villa Bon Vie

My husband and I recently attended a wedding on St. Thomas. We researched many listings prior to booking our stay at Villa Bon Vie and chose this condo based on prior reviews. Now I know why Christina had such great reviews! Christina was very prompt in replaying to emails and so easy to work with in making our reservations. Once we got to the condo we were more than pleased with the accomodations. Christina has thought of everything someone might need while staying on the island. The guest guidebook was very helpful and the directions were perfect! The condo itself has been recently renovated and you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in making sure the tenants are comfortable. We did not visit other beaches on St. Thomas because all of our friends that stayed elsewhere kept coming to "our" beach because they said it was the best one they had seen. The snorkeling was great! Just watch out for those iguanas on the beach! We ordered food several times from the waiters on the beach and received excellent service and food. The swimming pool is very beautiful although with such a beautiful beach no one was ever in the pool. The condo is very close to Red Hook and also the ferry to St. John. We did go to Trunk Bay on St. John one day and it was beautiful but I would have been just as happy staying at Sapphire Beach. If we are able to plan another trip to St. Thomas, we would definitely book the Villa Bon Vie again! We did read some negative reviews about the resort itself, but do not be scared off by those comments. We thought everything was wonderful.

We had an awesome time in the VI's! The weather was PERFECT all week and your place was amazing. It was everything we hoped for and more. The renovations look amazing and everything was brand new! Thank you so much for your hospitality and help with everything including our extra night. We have told everyone that when, not if, we go back we will definitely be back in your villa. Sam picking us up at the airport and stopping us for groceries was perfect. The proximity to Red Hook and the ferry to St John and the beautiful beach there at Sapphire is all we need. We didn't even go to another beach on STT! We visited some of the "famous" beaches on St John but to us Sapphire was still the best. After our beach hopping day over there we decided we couldn't do better than being at "home" for beach days! The cell phone and WI-FI was a definite plus! Great Vacation

Wish I was happy to be back Stateside but wish I was still in St. Thomas for sure. I have stayed at many condos at Sapphire and Villa Bonnie Vie was by far the nicest condo! We had a fantastic time while on our vacation. The New Horizons dinner cruise had incredible food, service and not to mention that was walking distance from your condo. The Day Dreamer from the Hyatt to Jost Van Dyke was well worth the cost - ended up being 8 people on a cat that holds 40 or more. Talk about personal service. Of course, our day to the private island of Hans Lollick was to die for via the helicopter. The views from above of the islands was incredible and it was a experience I will not forget. We also took the car ferry over to St. John it was beautiful views along the roads and the beaches were pristine!

We had another wonderful stay at your apartment, thank you very much again! The weather was perfect and the apartment ideal for a relaxing beach vacation (and we love the kitchen, such a huge improvement and yet you did not lose any functionality in the living area. The counter tops are our favorite part). There was a perfect amount of breeze every day to keep the temperatures in the ideal range for spending most of the day playing on the beach and in the water, and yet never needing to turn on the AC. We truly get lazy there, only made it to St. John’s once and spent the rest of the time at the Sapphire. Also, everything in the apartment was in perfect order waiting for us, just as you described. I hope that we have a chance to come next year as well. If we do opt and have time for the Caribbean, then it will be an easy choice.

Villa Bonne Vie - Definitely BEACHFRONT

The condo owner's description of the property is accurate. The property was clean. This new owner is upgrading the property nicely. The condo itself is older but is definitely beachfront. The condo itself has two nice decks. The condo owner supplied complimentary pick up from airport and also to grocery store should you not rent a car...but suggest you do so. Sam, the person who assists the condo owner, is above average..honest...and made us feel very comfortable. He went out of his way to accommodate and explain the island to us. Best...the island is gorgeous! Red Hook is near and quaint and safe. Restaurants are plentiful and food is good to excellent. More than that....there is SUN every day. Such a nice trip. You cannot NOT enjoy this island and the surroundings. Thanks again for a delightful stay in paradise!

We just returned from a fabulous week at Sapphire Beach Resort. Everything was perfect. Christina and Tony have been great from the time we booked the condo till the end of our week. Sam was the most gracious of hosts. The condos location is one of the best in the resort. It has everything right there! The beach is right out the door and is a prime spot. The condo has so much to offer. It is nicely decorated and the updates that have been done are fantastic. We were 4 adults and 1 child and we were very comfortable. Christina had a handbook with some very helpful and good advice about food, shopping, and general information. We were happy with many of the same spots she suggested. Red Hook was so close, which was very nice. It was a beautiful place. Hopefully, we will be able to visit again soon. We definately would stay at Christina and Tony's condo. All the pictures shown in the desciption, are exactly how it looks....awesome!!! Thank You!!!

The views were spectacular! Updated kitchen and bathrooms. The 2nd level bedroom was very spacious, with king size bed and pullout bed (as well as pullout bed in living room). Enjoyed being located directly on the beach and a short walk to the pool. Good snorkeling. Marina next door. Convenient to ferry and Red Hook w/shops, grocery, and restaurants. Great location.

A Slice of Paradise!

We just returned from this condo at Sapphire Beach and we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The owners, Christina and her husband, did a great job renovating the condo with a totally new kitchen and 2 full bathrooms--including granite countertops and tile. The place was exceptionally clean and the location is very convenient to the ferry landing, car rental, beaches, and local restaurants. We took advantage of a day sail out of the Marina at Sapphire--with New Horizons, and it was, by far, the best excursion I've ever been on! It was very reasonably priced, stopped at two snorkel spots, and included breakfast, a large lunch, and unlimited drinks. The guys on the boat were friendly and very informative. The condo sits on one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. We enjoyed coming out onto the beach in the early morning before the cruise ship tourists arrived. We spotted turtles, spotted rays, porcupine fish, trumpet fish, etc... Christina was very helpful with useful information for us "first-timers" to St Thomas! Her condo management assistant, Sam, was a wonderfully helpful, friendly, and welcoming guy, who felt more like a friend than a condo assistant. If and when we return to St Thomas, we will be staying in this condo again!

We had a really great time! We had about 3 days of solid rain, but we went swimming anyway. The kitchen remodel is beautiful! I loved the bathrooms, too. The bed and furniture are very comfortable. We had plenty of beach and bath towels, and the chase lounge covers are so nice to have. We spent a lot of time on the decks. I couldn't get enough of the view. Sapphire beach is definitely one of our favorites. We did rent a car and explored the entire island. The location of Villa Bonne Vie cannot be beat!! Family of four (kids 9&12) enjoyed the week at Sapphire Beach. Condo is being remodeled; however quite adequate at present. Suitable amenities. View of ocean and adjacent islands is spectacular! Sapphire is listed as one of the best beaches on St. Thomas. Owner and property manager were very responsive to any concerns. Family would like a return vacation here.

We made the trip to Villa Bonne Vie in July 2010. The location was fabulous. We enjoyed being right on the beach, and the view from the balconies was beautiful. We really enjoyed the snorkeling. Being able to snorkel right from the beach was perfect for us because our young kids were able to easily try it for the first time. We went to St. John one day and snorkeled, but we thought the snorkeling was just as amazing at Sapphire beach. The pool was very nice, too. Because it is on the beach, you can lounge by the pool and still have a gorgeous view and hear the sounds of the ocean. The condo had plenty of room for three adults and two children. If we return to St. Thomas, we will definitely stay here again.

Honeymoon Stay

My wife & I went from 6/21 to the 1st of July 2010 for our honeymoon here. It was AWESOME! The stay was wonderful, & it was an unbelievable honeymoon spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there & appreciate all that Christina did for us. The only problem we had was that the internet worked the first 3 days, then after that we couldn't login on the wireless network. I don't know if it was our computers or what the problem was. They have a great spot down there, & we would defiantly stay there again! Everything was well kept, & the kitchens were updated. Air conditioner helped a ton! Sam was very helpful & the pickup/dropoff to the airport that you provide was SO helpful to us. Sam showed us around & let us go to Plaza Extra for some groceries. We did have our car broken into the first night at Redhook....make sure you don't park in areas that aren't well lit. They stole my $18 Kmart shoes....almost comical actually they left all 4 bottles of rum! Loved it, & would go back!

Villa Bonne Beautiful!!

The location of this amazingly beautiful condo could not have been better! Bldg B is at the nicest spot on Sapphire Beach by far, with views that just astound you. We were so impressed with the COMFORT and QUALITY of Villa Bonne Vie, not to mention EVERYTHING you could possibly need was there. Christina was so delightful and prompt to work with, as well as Sam who looked after us once we arrived. Location on the island, proximity to the Marina, ferry service, groceries and restaurants were perfect.It is a beautiful vacation spot. There is nothing quite so nice as walking out onto your private balcony as you greet the day. We fell in love with Villa Bonne Vie and know you will too!

We stayed at Christine's condo during May, 2010. Christine was very responsive to all of our inquiries, and Sam (the property manager) was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The condo was very nice, with many comforts of home newly renovated baths and a comfortable bed. The views from both balconies were amazing. The beach itself was one of the nicest on St. Thomas (IMO nicer than Magens Bay), with a steady breeze, beautiful white sand, and panoramic views of Jost Van Dyke, the BVIs and St. John. The snorkeling here was some of the best on St. Thomas - fish, sea turtles, rays, squid - everyday. Traveling with four kids, staying here was significantly less expensive than other resorts or hotels, where we would've needed two rooms. A fully equipped kitchen was also a great amenity, allowing us to have snacks, meals and drinks on a balcony with beautiful views and only steps from the beach. If you're looking for a traditional, full-service resort with a busy nightlife and lots of bling, Sapphire Beach Resort is probably not for you. If you want a place with incredible views on a beautiful beach, particularly if you are traveling with a group and/or have young children with you, I'd HIGHLY recommend Villa Bonne Vie.

It was our 1st trip here. Your communications and guidance was complete & accurate. The condo is in an excellent location-the unit is very attractive, clean, and well equipped. We especially liked the beach views, the wi-fi, and the hospitality shown with the inclusive transportation to/from the airport. Thank you very very much for the experience and would do it again! Christina, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your piece of Paradise with us. We had a great time in St. Thomas and Sapphire Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to. The snorkeling right off the beach was amazing. We saw Stingrays, Sea turtles and lots of colorful fish. Your condo was very spacious and comfortable for our family of five. The renovated bathrooms are lovely. I loved waking up each morning and sitting on the balcony with my cup of tea overlooking the beach and St. John. What a great way to start my day. Going in to Red Hook was a breeze and we checked out a bunch of resturants you recommended. You were a pleasure to deal with. You made our planning very simple by setting up a the room for us our first night as well as transportation to and from the airport. We would definitely rent from you again! Linda, Peter and Family

The Magical Villa Bonne Vie at sapphire beach St. Thomas

We have been to too many beaches in the US and in Europe, but this place in St. Thomas is magical, it was like dream come true. The condo at Villa Bonne Vie has a fantastic view of the ocean and it is right on the beach. The condo was amazing; the place has 2 newly renovated bathrooms with granite counter top. The master bedroom has a king size bed that was very comfortable. On the beach sometimes we would order drinks and food, which is a nice service to have. We got 2 free hours of snorkeling each day. The kitchen was good and had everything that you would need on vacation. This trip became like second honey moon for us. We had such a good time that we tried to reschedule our flight and stay two more days, but unfortunately there was no available flights for another 5 days. We highly recommend this place.

Christina - our family spent fantastic ten days at your vacation home. The condo was great and had everything we needed, from cooking supplies to beach equipment. Sam was very reliable and helpful as well, especially during the first two days when our son was battling a sickness he brought over from the mainland. Regarding the beach, location, view, and the weather that we had – absolutely amazing, for the lack of better words! Outside of a trip to Coral World, and a quick visit to Charlotte, we barely left the beach. Just perfect for a family with a young child, we will never forget our 2.5-year old’s happiness each day running around in the sand and calm, clear waters. We never even made it to the famous Magen’s Bay beach, never felt the need, had too much fun snorkeling. We will definitely recommend your condo to our friends, and hopefully return in not too far future.

We stayed here for five nights in Jan 2010 Everything was just as advertised beautiful views great accommodations right on the beach. We stayed at Villa Bonne Vie from January 9-14 and had an amazing time! We loved the ability to go down to the beach and up to the condo with ease. We visited some other resorts (Secret Harbor, Ritz, etc.) and beaches (Coki, Cowpet, Magen’s); but to us, nothing came close to what we had in front of our “home” on Sapphire Beach. Christina was wonderful to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay a true vacation…we will be back!

My family of 4 spent a week in this condo Christmas 2009. We really enjoyed our trip. The condo had great views from the 3rd and 4th floor balconies (yes, two balconies). The on-site marina and dive shop, the proximity to Red Hook for restaurants/shopping and ferries we all pluses for staying there. We enjoyed the two newly remodeled bathrooms. Being right on such a nice beach with great snorkeling really made life easy for us. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with.

Christina, we just got back from our vacation at Villa Bonne Vie and wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your lovely condo…we had a wonderful time! We thought you might be exaggerating about the beach, but we found the view to be really awesome. The weather was so nice, we were able to open the sliding doors and enjoy the ocean breeze thru the unit. Your arrival basket was wonderful and very much appreciated since we didn’t have a chance to go the store when we first arrived – instead we went straight out to the balcony and enjoyed margarita’s and chips and the terrific breeze. Our only complaint is that we weren’t able to enjoy your condo and St. Thomas or St. John more – four days was way too short. Next time we come down, we will definitely book with you – loved the condo (esp. the view, new bathrooms, and comfy bed). The location is prime, and the proximity to Red Hook was great.
