  Had the great pleasure of seeing their studio while on my vacation. Their studio is perfectly located to get up and get going on yours dives & snorkel adventures! It's clean, well taken care of and the photos are accurate!

  We have stayed in this condo before and we have already booked for next year. The location and view are perfect. Bari reef is excellent for snorkeling or diving and you can choose from 2 dive shops. The spacious condo is clean, comfortable, and has a well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. The screen porch is great to sit and read or listen to the sea and the tropical breeze kept the porch and the condo comfortable. Sand Dollar is quiet, uncrowded and people are very friendly. This is just a great place to vacation. The owners make the rental process very easy and they are quick to respond to any questions.

  We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was perfect for the two of us. The owner was incredibly helpful in getting everything set up and providing us recommendations and answering all our questions. There was even champagne waiting in the condo when we got there :-) We loved how close we were to both of the dive shops (we went with Dive Friends and would highly recommend them!) and it's amazing to be able to shore dive, in what seems like steps from your porch. Loved the screened in lockable porch to hang gear at the end of the day and not having to drag it through the place to get to a deck like we've done at other places. And the sunset is steps away every evening as well. The place is well equipped - I always travel with Koozies but forgot them with the holidays & wedding madness - but sure enough there were some there! We didn't cook (there are soooo many great restaurants in Bonaire!) but checked out the kitchen as we cook a ton of at home and it was well stocked. Loved all the Paul Humann books - once again I forgot to pack mine - so was great to have them at hand for reference of what we saw that day. We really enjoyed the location of Sand Dollar. Easy to get to and far enough out of town to stay away when the cruise ships were in but still easy access to the Southern Dive sites - our favorites. Also a bonus with having Dive Friends on-site - you can pick up tanks across from the airport and at other locations so no need to head back to Sand Dollar in the middle of the day. Easy walking distance to restaurants/stores - Eddy's (onsite & Eddy Jr. was great!), Rum Runners has great pizza + at Captain Don's and Buddy's is next door. First visit - well visits to Between 2 Buns - and we'll be back there several times for sure. Went to At Sea for our honeymoon dinner - went with the Chef's menu - one of my best meals ever! Photos on this site are accurate. Liked the layout with bathroom right as you come in the studio and being able to see outside from the living area & kitchen. We think this is a perfect place for a couple who love diving and are hoping to be staying in A-3 again this year! Hopefully in the next few months!

  My husband and i went on vacation and stayed at this condo. The owners were extremely helpful and answered all questions. additionally, they provided brochures prior to our arrival about the island and sent suggestions of places to go etc. The location is amazing! the condo overlooks the bari reef site and the condo is really nice and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable too. they also had coolers etc for you to use during your stay. My only suggestion for visitors is to make sure you come with a bug spray that has a high deet in it. Mosquitos were bad in the evening. I would definitely recommend this place to stay and we will return and stay when we go back too.

  We always enjoy our stay at Patrick and Susan's condo. We have been and stayed their five times in the past 3 years. We just got back from our first two week vacation. It will never be one week again. The location is amazing ground floor right next to the dive shop which both are located right in front of Bari Reef. We had remarkable dives everyday right outside our front door on Bari Reef. There is a small sandy beach were you can walk in for a quick swim or snorkel. We thoroughly enjoyed to see the manta, octopus, and many more amazing underwater life. Plus, the wild life is right outside your door being many different types of species of birds, iguanas and always a very friendly cat or two.You have a spectacular ocean front view from the screened in patio. The condo is very clean, decorated nicely and it gives you feeling of home being very spacious for a studio. It is fully stocked with all the kitchen necessities you would need. They also provide nice reference books and information about the reefs and the island. With in walking distance you had many choices of eating establishments. Patrick and Susan are the most accommodating hosts and will do anything to make your stay amazing! I can not recommend a better place to stay. We have already booked with them our next two week vacation for 2013.

  Around last July, I started searching online for places to stay on Bonaire. It was going to be my first time there. My wife likes to relax on beaches and read. Trying to find a place on Bonaire with a beach was proving to be a challenge; there aren’t many. I’m a volunteer diver at an aquarium nearby and towards the end of last summer a bunch of the divers from there had a little get together and one of them mentioned that she would never stay anywhere on Bonaire except at Sand Dollar. The next day I looked up Sand Dollar on the Internet and it seemed like a very nice place. I Googled Sand Dollar to search out reviews and stumbled across VRBO’s Web site. I searched their site and found a few condos being rented by their owners and after further research, decided upon unit A03. We liked the fact that it was a studio because that meant the whole unit is air conditioned. Units with a separate bedroom only had a/c in the bedroom. The size of A03 was a little bit of a concern but not much. Even when you know what the square footage is, it’s hard to visualize just how big it is. The owners of A03 even have their own Web site that we checked out and it looked really nice. I sent an email to the owners and they got back to me immediately. They were soooo helpful and friendly and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. They provided me with so much information and tips and made the reservation process as about as simple as it can get. We sent them our deposit and they sent us a nice little package that contained all sorts of stuff like maps and restaurants that they recommended (which we used and weren’t disappointed). The day finally arrived when we left for Bonaire. We were able to check in to A03 at around 1PM. When we opened the door to A03 both of our jaws dropped. It was absolutely beautiful. And it was BIG!!! The owners told us that they had done a lot of work decorating it and boy, did it show. WE LOVED IT!!! When we return to Bonaire we will absolutely, definitely stay in unit A03. It’s a gem! And besides being such a beautiful studio condo, it’s located very near to a deli, and ice cream place, and two restaurants which we frequented several times. And diving off the pier at Sand Dollar was great. I did my first night dive from there. So, if you’re planning on going to Bonaire, unit A03 at Sand Dollar is definitely the place to stay. And the owners of A03 are the best!!! Oh! By the way… Sand Dollar has a beach. It’s small, but it’s very, very

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bonaire at Susan and Patrick's condo. The condo is clean and tastefully decorated. It has everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen, appliances, coolers, etc. It also seems very roomy for a' studio'. There are nice reference books and information about the local reefs. We enjoyed the fantastic view from the screened in patio while having breakfast and lunch each day. The grounds are nice and there is a laid back atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant located nearby which has the most amazing ocean view. I enjoyed snorkeling in front of the property which has easy access. There's a nice variety of fish and I saw a "Spotted Drum" for the first time hanging out under one of the steel slabs by the "acquarium" area (to the left of the dive dock). A must do is the drift snorkel at Klein Bonaire- we went via the water taxi. There is a variety of wild life including parrots, iguanas, a few cats, and hummingbirds that add a beautiful touch to the surroundings. We purchased the internet package and it was not as reliable as we had hoped when using an ipad. However, several people report that they are able to have a better connection at the small internet business which is very near the property. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and loved the view from the patio. Patrick and Susan are very accommodating and will do anything to make your stay an enjoyable one.

  This was our 3rd stay at Patrick and Susan's wonderful condo. They are so helpful and make the rental process very easy. The condo is everything we want and need. It is clean, comfortable, in the perfect location, completely stocked with everything needed for cooking and for having a great vacation. The diving reference books are so helpful and very interesting. We love the mosquito free screened porch and spent much time there completing log books, reading and watching the humming birds, chibi-chibis, parrots and other birds. We have looked at other places and stayed at other places in Bonaire and A03 is our favorite! We have already booked for 2013!

  What a great vacation! We stayed two weeks at this condo, and it felt like home. This studio was spacious and provided all the amenities we could possibly need, from spices to coolers; no need to bring anything from home. Patrick and Susan communicated with us regularly, answering any questions we had and giving us lots of information before our arrival. By far the biggest plus is its location! Right next to the dive shop, and steps to Bari Reef. There is a small sandy beach in front of this unit that we used on the days we didn't go snorkeling, or just wanted a quick swim. We had dinner at the beachfront restaurant next door more than once; great atmosphere and food, friendly and very convenient. And Lover's ice cream is just a two minute walk for dessert. There was a constant breeze through the studio, so we rarely needed the air conditioning. We would recommend this to friends, and look forward to coming back.

  From a couple of gray-hairs still diving: We’ve been to Bonaire somewhere around twenty times. We’ve stayed in a fairly wide variety of resorts, including Buddy’s, Divi, the old Sunset Beach, some I don’t remember and several off-the-water dives not worth mentioning. We had our first stay at Sand Dollar a couple of years ago in the unit above Patrick & Susan's (I’ll leave it unnamed but it’s a good one, too). Since then, we’ve stayed in Patrick & Susan's condo the last three visits. We will continue to book this unit whenever we can. It’s the neatest and cleanest place we’ve stayed – the bed and furniture are good and the kitchen has all the needed appliances and utensils (we rarely eat out). It has one of the best ocean views of any place we’ve stayed – and it’s by far the most convenient to the dive shop (if you use Bonaire Dive & Adventure). Bonaire Dive & Adventure, right next door, is a good shop to dive with – tanks are convenient, Nitrox is typically free, and their gear storage, dock and reef are excellent. We’ve read the other reviews ahead of this one and agree strongly with all the good things that have been said – both about the condo and Patrick and Susan. It’s a top-notch place to stay!! Other notes: Parking is plentiful and adequately close to the unit. The staff at Sand Dollar is exceptional – both the office staff and the housekeeping people. The unit is very handicap accessible - no stairs or steps. If you need internet, wi-fi is available in the rooms but a little better hookup is available across the parking lot at Chat-n-Browse – and Michael, the proprietor, easily becomes a good friend. But maybe best of all – right next door to Chat-n-Browse is Lovers Ice Cream – a double scoop and a short walk back to watch the sunset – it doesn’t get any better than that!!
