A paradoxical get-away. 'Le Bastidon du Coco' seems to be deep in the countryside, yet, in reality, it is just outside the charming and busy village of Lourmarin. With plenty of room for up to six people, Le Coco is very secluded, and has its own sizeable swimming pool and extensive grounds. This modern house, recently built around an old stone ‘cabanon’, was originally a hunters cabin and shepherds refuge. This is an ideal place for people who enjoy peace and quiet.
The setting is spectacular. With 360° views, southwards over gently rolling countryside dotted with vineyards, orchards, and meadows and northwards over the valleys and woods of the Luberon mountain range. Yet this haven of tranquility is less than ten minutes' walk from the shops, restaurants and art galleries that make Lourmarin one of the most sought-after destinations in Provence.
Le Coco is beautifully planned and furnished, with a stunning combination of modern design and traditional Provencal accessories. It is extremely comfortable, and has all the facilities you need to make your stay here carefree. The pool, at a little distance from the house, is designed to fit harmoniously into the natural surroundings, and shares the same great views as the house

Christophe and Joelle. Joelle's family has been in this part of the Luberon for "ever". Christophe is a much more recent import from Aix-en- Provence.
Why the Owner Chose Lourmarin
This property has been in Joelle's family for at least several generations. In 2007 we decided to extend the old shepherd's "cabanon" so as to make a modern country house.
