The property is just off Mirror Lake Drive with off street parking and beach access to Mirror Lake. The home was completely remodeled in 2009. It is set up with a great room with a wood fireplace, completely appointed kitchen, flat screen TV, granite counters, hardwood floors, and Adirondack furnishings. There are two master suites one with a king sized bed the other queen sized bed. Each with a private bath one has a multi-head shower the other a bath.
The entire first floor is hardwood. Downstairs there is a TV room, bunk beds in one room, large family room with second wood fireplace two single beds, laundry room with full sized washer and dryer. New bathroom with shower. Full private patio with patio furniture surrounded by a rock garden. Gas grill is also located on the patio. The house is one of the closest to the private beach. A Lake Placid native now displaced to the mid-west but still connected to Lake Placid because of our love of the Adirondacks, family, and friends that still live in town.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid
The house is located in an upscale development of approximately 30 homes on Mirror Lake Drive a short walking distance to downtown Lake Placid. The town is built on mirror lake and there is very little private access to the lake. This development has private beach access to Mirror Lake. I grew up in a home on Mirror Lake Drive one block away and believe this is one of the best locations to live in Lake Placid.
The Unique Benefits of this Single Family Home
We completely remodeled the property. My wife is a professional cook so the kitchen has the latest technology and all the gadgets a cook would love. Since we spend a lot of time around the kitchen we opened up the living room / dining room to the kitchen area. There is a private patio right off the kitchen and beautiful rock garden. We have three daughters so we also added a third full bathroom downstairs. For families that bring Grandparents there are two master suits. We like to bike, swim, kayak, walk, ski, mountain climb, and fish all are close access to this location.
