Convenient central location with easy access to all the amenities, you are a two minute walk along our quiet tree-lined street to the best part of fabulous Commercial Drive, with shops, groceries, restaurants, live music/entertainment, recreational facilities and the greatest selection of coffee shops anywhere!
By car you are just a 8 minute drive to the city center and a 30 minute drive to any location in the city, from the beaches of Kitsilano, to the mountains of the North Shore, to the BC ferry portal to the Gulf Islands and Victoria. We are very close to public transit: buses are a block away, Skytrain (rapid transit) is a 12 minute walk. Many guests opt to go car free as travelling around the city is super easy, but if you have a car, we have a large off street parking space just for you.

We stayed here for one week from June 08-15 2011. The accommodations were wonderful. There was everything that you would ever need in the unit & then some. Right down to umbrellas & reusable grocery bags. Leslie & Susan were so were accommodating. They had terrific suggestions for site seeing. Coffee shops, fresh fruit & veggie shops,restaurants & liquor store were no more than a 5 minute walk away. We bought fresh meat & veggies & used the BBQ many nights. I would highly recommend this unit.Recommended for: Age 55+.

We stayed for six days and enjoyed every minute. The apartment is clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need for cooking and entertainment. There is a huge television and a selection of DVDs although we didn't hang around watching TV. The sitting area outside is a wonderful addition - it's sheltered so you can even sit out there in the rain (which it does a lot in Vancouver). The location couldn't be better. We had a car but never used it as public transport is so good. It's out of downtown Vancouver which can be reached in about 20 minutes using the skytrain.Everything you need is on Commercial Drive just a block away. There is even a walk in medical centre which, unfortunately, we had cause to use. The doctor and the pharmacist couldn't have been more helpful. It's a great base to stay, particularly if you're around for a week or more. Pure relaxation and a home from home. The laundry facilities are accessed in the main house which is an inconvenience for the owner rather than for the visitor. The owner was very helpful at all times. I've already recommended this apartment to friends and I'd certainly stay there again if I'm lucky enough to get to Vancouver.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

we spent 2 months here mid Jan to mid March 2011 Excellent location for public transportation access, food stores , fruit & veg markets & lots of cafes. Lovely restored homes & lots of places to walk to. The suite has everything you need for a short or long stay, is very clean & quiet. The hosts Leslie & Susan are friendly, helpful & go out of their way to meet your needs. We will recommend the Graveley Garden suite to our friends & hope to return ourselves someday.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

You couldn’t find a better place to stay on your fabulous Vancouver vacation than the Graveley Suite. Proprietors Susan and Leslie are just the nicest people and will make your stay very comfy. The suite is clean, modern and has all the amenities of home. It’s just a block away from Commercial drive with it’s diverse people, restaurants and coffee shops, yet it is very quiet! The amazing Vancouver Public transportation (SkyTrain and buses) are very close and is an economic and fast way to get around town.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We stayed in this suite during the Winter Olympics. The owners were vey accomodating. The suite itself was great. The furnishings are comfy and seem very new. The suite is also very clean. The location was great. While not downtown, it is close to the Skytrain, which is only a short ride to downtown. I rarely submit reviews here but this one exceeded my expectations and deserves mention. The suite was exceedingly clean (maybe because it is new?) The owners have a thoughtful and caring approach to guest comforts and attention to detail is impeccable. (If you have high standards you will be at home here.) Location so accessible to The Drive is perfect! As a gov't employee coming from the more 'sleepy' city of Victoria, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the vibrant nearby neighbourhood on foot as I was without car on this trip. Travel to various downtown meeting locations was fast and easy by public transport. (Again... better than expected.) Was pleasantly surprised by the sense of peace and quiet of this home, given its handy location. It felt like a little oasis in my busy week. Vancouver is indeed a visitors paradise and we enjoy the great variety of people who come and explore its many hidden gems.

Commercial Drive is one of the trendiest areas in Vancouver and a fabulous place to visit. The house is on a quiet street 1 1/2 blocks from the best cafes, restaurants, live music clubs and bars, shops, produce and health food stores. There are fitness facilities, banks, groceries, transit, and a liquor store all within minutes from home.

Our house is over 100 years old. She celebrated her 100th birthday in 2010. Over the last several years she has had major renovations to every sector of the home, including the suite. The suite is a new installation including both kitchen and bathroom and has not been rented prior to this listing on VRBO. The entire house, including the suite, has retained its heritage charm and combines the best of modern and heritage living.
