We had a wonderful family vacation with our three kids, spouses, five grand children and our dog. The house sits right on the lake and has fantastic views, sunrises and sunsets. The kitchen was very well equipped and the BBQ great. It was so convenient to have the boat dock right at the foot of the stairs for our kayaks and fishing boat. Sitting in the hot tub out on the deck in the evenings was supurb. Each family had a separate room. Anita was very helpful and a delight to work with. I highly recommend this home for a family vacation.

We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation at this lovely home. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains are incredible, and the home has everything you need for fun and relaxation. The kitchen is very well stocked, as is the upstairs game room, and the home was very clean. My children spent their time playing pool and other games in the 3rd story loft, swimming in the lake, and relaxing in the hot tub (which was easily adjustable for child-safe temperatures). The picnic table on the upper deck is perfect for enjoying morning coffee and evening meals and for stargazing at night. The lower deck is huge, and I appreciated the latching gates on both decks. Having a washer and dryer on the first floor was also a big plus. The location was perfect for just about any activity in the Big Bear area. We were minutes from several marinas, the Village, and the ski areas, but out of the way enough to still feel like we were getting away from the crowds. Since this was a summer trip, we went for cruises on the pirate ship and the paddle wheel boat, took a ride up the sky chair at Snow Summit, and went horseback riding near neighboring Baldwin Lake. We also spent a pleasant evening walking around the Village enjoying the restaurants, shops, and movie theaters. Anita was a delight to work with and was very responsive. She helped made the entire experience a real pleasure.

This was one of my favorite vocational rentals. I came with my husband and 3 kids (under 11 years of age), my mom-in-law, aunt, and brother-in-law and during the day had my sister-in-law and her kids visit us from nearby Mallard Bay Resort. The home is very accommodating for all types of leisure activities including boating (the dock slip is fairly new), swimming, fishing, shooting pool (a standard pool table, and small one for the kiddies), playing board games, reading (there's a library of books), barbecuing, cooking, and general relaxing and enjoying the view. The home is situated right on the southwest area of the lake. Ducks came by to greet us every day. Anita was so very nice and responsive. She's fabulous! She gave me helpful information to aid in our packing, and provided the name and contact information of nearby marinas she recommends. I will want to rent this lovely lakefront home again in the future.

We rented this wonderful home for a family weekend that included five adult couples, two toddlers and our dog. There was plenty of room in the home for all to sleep comfortably and privately as well as common areas to have everyone together for meals and just "hang out". The kitchen was well stocked with necessary utensils and shopping was nearby for the few things we forgot to get in advance. The dock was located directly behind the home making it very convenient to store and have easy access to our boat for lake activities. The home was very neat, clean and spacious and our entire group was very happy with the home and would definitely stay here again in the future. Anita was very helpful and accommodating during the entire process form the initial inquiry we made about the property to the prompt return of our deposit after our stay. All in all a great experience.

Our family of 4 enjoyed an incredible stay at this beautiful and spacious lake home in june 2011. The layout of the home worked perfectly for us; having a little one that naps and a handful of day guests as well as godparents who stayed 2 nights with us, we so appreciated the home's 3 story lay out. Our son napped well in one of the 2 entry level bedrooms (we slept in the 1st story master close to him), while we entertained on the 2nd story deck and kitchen & used the pool table in the soaring 3rd floor loft (love the head room & fans that create a comfortable and open space!). We loved the dock which we used for both jumping in water (which was warm and i'm a wimp) and loading into our friends pontoon. There are a number of rental opportunities right nearby (call round for competitive pricing). Dinning areas & options are plentiful; huge formal dinning table off the kitchen & equally large table on same floor deck made for great and large gatherings! 1st floor deck is even bigger with hot tub and spacious shade and/or sunning spots....your choice. The location is excellent - almost directly across from solar observatory and close to the point near Mallard Bay. The stars literally fill the sky; none of us have ever seen stars like that - horizon to horizon! Drive straight to main road for a really sweet market with fresh coffee beans & extensive wine selection - and more than the essentials! Everything about our stay was excellent. Loved riding bikes round the quiet lake front roads. The owners included; very accommodating from the moment we booked. Provided all the information we needed and wanted. Provide an excellent binder for house internet, remote fan & tv controls, etc...feel free to email us for more detail....our experience couldn't have been better!

My wife and I spent a long Memorial Day weekend at the "Chalet." We had such a great time relaxing in the spacious living room as we gazed at the lake, and sunning on the deck, and spa'ing in the hot tub. The house is minutes from dining and activities. We had friends visit us for a night, and they couldn't believe what a great and large place we had, just for ourselves (well, our furry "kids" were with us too).. Anita, one of the owners, was the easiest and friendliest person to deal with. There's no reason for us to look for another house the next time we go to Big Bear.

We had high hopes for this property when we arrived, and were still blown away by how good it was when we arrived. The house had fantastic views across the lake, was spacious enough for 12 adults to feel comfortable, and was a short distance from everything Big Bear has to offer. I will be looking to rent this place again in the summer and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of renting in Big Bear.

We took 3 generations from age 2 and up and we all had a great time. Each family had their own private bathroom. Anita was so nice and sweet to work with, and wanted to make sure we had a good time. The place was just as pictured, the view even better. We would recomend the place to anyone.

Nine of us just got back from a weekend at this rental, and it was amazing! The house is close to the Village, and right on the lake. The views are incredible. Everything was comfortable, clean, and well cared for, and we all had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils, which was great for cooking for our group. We took advantage of the hot tub (big enough for six), and watched movies and played video games on the big living room television. The dining table and huge coffee table were also great for board games. All of the bedrooms are great-- no one got stuck in a small or "lesser" room, everything was very comfortable. The views from the downstairs bedrooms are especially nice, and the bath tub in the upstairs bedroom is huge. The owners were prompt in answering my emails, and are extremely kind and generous. It was a genuine pleasure renting this home, especially after dealing with rental companies in years past. Our group had an incredible time staying here, and can't wait to come back.
