Is a convenient-to-everything location important to you? Do you want to be in the "heart" of a beautifully restored 400 year old colonial silver city, considered by many to be the prettiest town in Mexico?
San Miguel de Allende is now not only a Mexican Historical Site, but is on the UNESCO list of Historic Masterpieces and it is protected by the government as a Historic Trust site to ensure that it stays that way.
My home is wonderfully convenient to all centro advantages - dozens of fine restaurants, the Post Office, money exchanges and banks, U.S. Consulate, art galleries, and the Jardin (Town Square). Within "steps", you can enjoy browsing the many galleries and shops, have a fine dinner and nightcap at one of many restaurants, enjoy an exhibit of art at Belles Artes, a concert at Angela Peralta Theater or even enjoy an evening at Bella Italia, where Doc Severinson and friends play weekends.
Yet, once you enter the lovely courtyard of Casa de los Arboles with its beautiful fountain, trees and flowers, you can enjoy the quietness of my home within this complex. Casa de los Arboles is a Heritage building with a doorman, providing you with convenience and security. My condo has an intercom to the street for your arriving visitors. It shares a large rooftop terrace for morning coffee watching the hot air balloons, evening wine with friends watching fireworks, or sun bathing with unparalleled views of five of San Miguel's major churches (including the famous Parrochia). The spectacular sunsets behind the Guanajuato Mountains to the west are a daily occurance.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is a perfect get away home for the discerning traveler. Both the large living room and spacious master bedroom overlook from French windows, the courtyard and two 18th century domed bell towers that chime the hours.
The large master bedroom (queen-size bed) has its own bathroom en suite, fireplace, and a sitting area. The guest bedroom, with twin beds, sitting area and French doors, overlooks a small garden.
While restaurants abound in this area, your kitchen is fully equipped with everything to enjoy cooking at home or to entertain guests. The vast local market ( 2 located within blocks) will inspire you and make your culinary adventures rewarding! And we now have Via Organica Grocery and Cafe even closer.
You will find my home very comfortable and fully equipped throughout. There is high speed Internet, cable TV, gas fireplaces, washer/dryer, and a land line phone. If you have a laptop, bring along your Magic Jack, Vonage or Skype for free long distance calling.
Magdalena, your Housekeeper, comes in for 4 hours twice a week to clean and do the linens. She is also a wonderful cook and you may make your own arrangements with Magdalena, if you would like her to prepare any meals for you. Anthony, is a superb bartender, and is available for booking for any of your entertainment needs.
It will be my pleasure to share my home with discerning travelers - those who want to enjoy a quiet, private location within the historic Centro - that has easy access to all that San Miguel de Allende has to offer. - Outside of town are several hot spring spas. Readily available are guided day trips to surrounding historic sites such as Dolores Hildalgo (Talevera tile and pottery), Guanajuato (pottery), Quetetaro (museums in the historical center), the resurgent former ghost town of Minerales de Pozos (abandoned silver mines), archeological sites (Canada de la Virgen pyramids) and many more surrounding country villages, churches and haciendas, There is a Botannical Garden and there are Audubon Walks every month. Wonderful horseback riding (no skill needed) day trips in the country side (Coyote Canyon) are also available.

Why the Owner Chose Centro Historico
This was not bought as a vacation rental. It is my home. I chose this location because of its beauty, summer climate, and intellectual and artistic community.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
The location of the apartment is unmatched. I am across the street from a French patisserie, four doors to the Angela Peralta Theatre, and within 20 yards of 4 of the arguably best restaurants in SMA - Tio Lucas, Nirvana, El Ochenta, and Vivoli. I am less than 2 blocks from the second largest English language library in Mexico, where foreign films, lectures, and a delightful cafe can be enjoyed. My courtyard with its fountain, trees and flowers, is one of the most photographed in San Miguel. The apartment has a view of this courtyard and of 2 domed bell towers that chime the hours. My roof terrace is available for parties, morning coffee, evening wine, watching the hot air balloons, or fireworks, and sun bathing. You can see all San Miguel, including the famous Parrochia, and to the west, in the distance, the Guanajuato Mountains.

I moved to San Miguel de Allende in 2003. I live winters in Florida and summers in San Miguel. I would live here year around if it weren't for the dry winters. I enjoy a delightful life here going to concerts, foreign films, and liming with friends in the cafes and restaurants. In every respect but the temperature and humidity, I would rather be in San Miguel than any place else, year 'round. I can pursue more of my interests here than in any place I have ever lived.
