Situated on a plateau about 500 m above sea level, Casa Martana is immersed in a breathtaking landscape with ever green forests and beautiful panorama views over Todi and the valley below. The property is dates back from 17th century and was meticulously restructured by the owners.
The exterior structural modifications reflects the experience of the owner in the architecture field, the interior decoration is thanks to the fine taste of the owner’s wife. The vicinity of the property to the major Umbrian cultural centers like Orvieto, Perugia, Todi, makes this property an ideal place for those who want to discover the beauty of Umbria.
PARK: The area surrounding the property is about 3 hectare and has vast vegetation: forests, olive groves, secular oaks, colorful flowers, perfumed lavenders and English style lawn. The house has many suggestive corners like the beautiful veranda equipped with wrought iron armchairs and tables, ideal place for aperitifs at sunset, a wide porch furnished for outside dining and a small romantic pergola covered by a black grape vines, ideal to sit back and take in the breathtaking natural background.
SWIMMING POOL: The irregular shape swimming pool has a surface which measure 130 sqm and a variable depth which goes from 0,90 to 1,80 m. Open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October the pool is situated on a lower level in respect to the property and it is reachable via a staircase. The pool area has splendid views and is well equipped with umbrellas, chairs, sun beds and table.
INTERIORS: The house is on two levels. The main entrance leads into a small reception hall and then into the ample living room with fireplace and dining room. Also on this floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with a small corner pantry and a service bathroom. All of the downstairs rooms have independent exits into the garden. The first floor is accessible via an internal staircase and is composed of two double bedrooms with en suite bathroom with bathtub, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom with shared bathroom with shower.
SERVICES INCLUDED: electricity, water, gas for kitchen use, weekly linen, initial and final cleaning, pool and park maintenance.
COMPULSORY SERVICES ON REQUEST: extra cleaning (€ 15/ hour/person ),extra linen (€12/person ),fire wood (€ 15/100 kg).
