My wife and I have lived in South Florida for most of our adult life, and both lead busy stressful lives. So a few years back, we decided to find a small house, within three hours driving distance, on a body of water where we could enjoy each other's company away from the hustle and bustle. I am an attorney and my wife is a real estate broker, with multiple business interests. As we get older we recognize and value our time spent together, but more importantly, the pace and serenity that truly adds years in health were hard to come by. That's when we made a conscious decision to steal that time and enjoyed it in an environment of natural beauty. We now enjoy sharing our discovery and happiness on the River with others. You can only truly know what I speak of if you take the time and get away the St. Johns River as we.
Why the Owner Chose De Land
My wife often says that being on the River whether just floating fishing or sightseeing, is emotionally physically and mentally. as well as spiritually, healing. Three years ago my wife and I fell in love with the St. Johns River and quite serendipitously discovered DeLand in Central Florida. After buying a second home on the Hontoon Peninsula and spending many wonderful weekends relaxing on the River, we decided to invest in another residential property to use for our family and friends who would often come to visit. The unspoiled natural beauty of the River has captured many hearts and left us with awesome memories. The abundant wildlife, scenic waterways and uncrowded ambience keep all who visited returning.
