Enjoying your calm ocean vista requires only an appreciation of the splash of friendly, frolicking porpoises, or when your private panga (fishing boat) arrives when called to your beach/doorstep - to whisk you & your family and friends away for an hour, or a day (or night) of snorkeling, SCUBA, fishing with line or spear, or just lazily following the currents of the Sea of Cortez as you chase your whims – the wind, and follow whales and surfers over and through the sun-glinting waves.
Your uninterrupted view of Cerralvo Island is as it has been for centuries: each dawn sky awakens with a crimson blush over a wine-dark sea brimming with: Lobster; Yellow-Fin Tuna; Dorado; Blue, Black and Striped Marlin; Magnificent Sailfish; Wahoo; Cabrilla; Rosterfish – and hundreds of other brightly colored and tasty fish, many of whom will eagerly take your bait from the beach, or are easily speared snorkeling around the home, or of course the local fishermen will bargain with you in the nearby market – or bring them to your door for a few pesos.

Professional instruction is available within walking distance if you want to learn – or just get better. Miles of secluded trails entangle the community. Magnificent flowers bloom throughout the season. Enchanted forests of Elephant Trees, Century Plants, Ocotillo, and Cholas are punctuated with over 100 species of cacti salting the landscape.
Like to relax and Veg? So do we! Reading your page-turner surrounded by panoramic vistas through the oversized windows overlooking your beach is a memorable pleasure itself. The latest video game console Nintendo Wii will tempt the younger with a full library of games for enjoyment; an extensive collection of classic board games waits for children and adults who want to laugh together powered only by their own playful interaction.
The home itself has two wings, East and West, and can be rented separately or together: the West Wing offers two bedrooms with one bath with another bed and bath available in the East. Both have full open decks over each enclosed floor plan – and sleeping out under the overhanging firmament of stars is an unforgettable experience.
Located an easy 30-minute drive south from La Paz International Airport on the Sea of Cortez, the Bay of La Ventana in Baja is Mexico's most unknown yet beautiful destination. If you prefer, we are less than two-hours drive north from Los Cabos International Airport.

The beautiful tranquility of having beachfront views in a small fishing village there is complimented perfectly by the perk of having internationally acclaimed windsurfing/kitesurfing just feet from the doorstep. This is one of few places that I have found in recent years that infuses the luxury of the modern world with the freedom of the unexplored.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Beautiful over sized windows throughout the house make it impossible to forget your pristine view of Cerralvo island. With exquisite snorkeling, kayaking and sports fishing being just steps away from you bed you are free to explore the ocean or the coast. You can just as easily walk up the beach to the natural hot springs as you can kite downwind into the town where we can arrange a pick up that brings you right back to your front door.
Amazing natural hot springs bubble right out of the sand and can be made into your own personal jacuzzi.
A beautiful place where you can get a solid 2 hour Kite surfing/Windsurfing ride all the way back into town or cut it early and just pull right back up to the house.
A short trip up the coast line is well worth it to see the stunning reef teaming with life that has emerged from the bones of a giant Grey whale.
