This is a beautiful, large, airy, 4th floor corner condo unit in a lovely building with classic Mexican charm located on popular Los Muertos Beach in the heart of Old Town Vallarta, (referred to by the locals as 'Zona Romantica'). The famous Malecon has been extended to Lazaro Cardenas Park located right next door to us. This offers an easy, well lit, traffic free, oceanfront stroll to the downtown (el Centro) area where the arches, town square, and plenty of hustle & bustle are located. Our building is in the ideal location - within walking distance of all the best restaurants and art galleries Puerto Vallarta has to offer! We are also just a short walk down the beach to the pier where many of the water excursions depart from.
If you are looking for a well appointed unit in a privately owned, secure, building in an incredible location, then THIS IS THE PLACE for you! There is a receptionist on site 24 hrs, a full time building administrator, and maintenance staff. Maid service is provided 3 days per week. However, if you are looking for a 'resort' style vacation, this is NOT it. This is a privately owned building with full time residents. This is NOT the place for 'spring breakers'. One of the resorts out in the Hotel Zone would be a better choice for that type of vacation experience.

Fabulous condo, excellent location!
We stayed in this condo for 2 weeks in mid July. The condo was perfect for our family of 5. The wrap around deck looks out on the ocean and the mountains, we really enjoyed this feature of the unit. The condo is very well maintained, there is maid service 3 times a week and Juan at the front desk went over and above what would be expected. He was very helpful with restaurant tips, transit information and great places to visit in the area. The unit has wifi included which made our three teens happy! The building is very secure and safe, we felt at ease in the morning heading out for a quick run or some exercise and having the 3 teens stay in the condo. The location is great, lots of good restaurants and street food vendors, an OXXO just around the corner, a SuperFarmacia is a few blocks away for a few groceries and just past that is the fruit market. We bought fresh pineapples and mangos that were delicious and only cost a few pesos. Steve and Becki are GREAT to deal with, very helpful, easy to get a hold of, they send all the information needed for arrival to the condo as well as what there is in the area. We met such amazing people that worked in the area! A Page in the Sun is on the same street as Plaza Mar, it is a great coffee shop with homemade food items as well as a huge selection of used books (Lindsey the owner is wonderful), Figueroas Burritos, with Kai and Luis has ridiculously affordable and tasty food as well as fun and friendly owners, Cisneros has very fresh Mexican seafood, Panchos Takos is another very affordable restaurant serving mexican food, Bella Napoli is owned by very lively and fun Italians and have amazing pizza, The Blue Shrimp is a beach side restaurant offering beach chairs with food and drink purchases and where we spent our days on the beach, La Lagosta Loco always made us fresh mahi-mahi sticks, shrimp sticks and fresh oysters and across from them is Caramoncito with burritos, tacos and wonderful crepes! We walked to Chonchas Chinas beach, took the transit to Mismaloya Beach, walked the Malecon, took transit to the Marina for a tour to Marietas Islands, and also took the transit to Aquadventuras Park. We like to stay where we can walk to places, transit to areas, eat in local restaurants and experience different places and people. You cannot go wrong staying here! We will definitely be back! We love this area and this building. There is no better location in Vallarta in our opinion! We purchased a 1 bedroom unit in this building in 2000 and then pounced at the opportunity to upgrade to this 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner unit when the 89 year old previous owner finally conceded to sell it to us.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Location! Location! Location! There are always more great restaurants to get to (most all within walking distance) than meals to be eaten while in town. I never tire of sitting on the balcony in the mornings, sipping my coffee, watching the park wake up and the children coming to the little school on the other side of the park. The 'muffin man' often comes by with his tray of fresh items from the bakery and calls up, to see if I'm out on the balcony. It's truly a magical place!
