This gorgeous piece of the gulf has been in our family since my grandfather purchased it in the 1950's. We built "Redfish" in 2002, designing a beach home that maximizes the unbeatable view of the water, while creating a living space to accommodate large groups with ample room for cooking and dining together. Redfish is a beautifully appointed home with all the modern amenities you'd expect from a luxury vacation rental.
Spend hours on the beach, playing in the surf, building sandcastles and netting crabs. You'll want to call everyone together in the early evening to enjoy sunsets from the spacious porch or upstairs balcony.
You'll have the best of both worlds; enjoy the bustle of Seaside, then retreat to the quiet of Blue Mountain Beach just minutes away. There are unique shops and restaurants within walking distance and a 23-mile paved bike path running alongside 30A; if you don't have a bike there are nearby rental shops. Oftentimes we park the car and use our bikes all week!
If you're into golf, nearby golf courses include Hombre Golf Club, Bluewater Bay Golf Club, Emerald Bay Golf Club, Seascape Golf Course and Windswept Dunes Golf Course.
Redfish has four bedrooms: one on the main floor with 2 double beds, on the second floor is the master bedroom with private bath and a king-sized bed, a bedroom with a king-sized bed and a daybed and a bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk bed. On the third floor is also a loft space, with stairs, and 3 twin beds.
If you've never been to Seaside, you're in for a treat. It is a picturesque town with unique architecture, picket fences and homes tightly knit to encourage walking and a community feel. Its "walk-to-anywhere" design includes a gourmet food market, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, restaurants, art galleries, and small boutiques all centered around a town square with an outdoor amphitheater. Seaside was featured in the 1997 motion picture The Truman Show.
If you feel like a change of pace, you can drive the 25 miles to Destin, where you can tour the Gulfarium (an aquarium with over 200 mammals, fish, birds and reptiles) take a Dolphin Cruise, go to the Hard Rock Cafe or shop at one of the more than 100 stores located in the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. In the other direction there is Panama City Beach, where you can stroll the Boardwalk at the new Pier Park, with nearly 100 shops and restaurants, or try to get your name on the "best times" board at the Gran Maze at Coconut Creek Family Fun Park.
You won't be disappointed with the area, and we know you'll want to come back again and again to our little piece of heaven on the Gulf. Redfish is truly a beach house where you can unwind and create family memories together.

The bike path is our favorite feature. We ride everywhere, sometimes we even have a destination in mind before we set out! The path is paved and FLAT - anyone will enjoy it.
