This is a fresh, clean, 1600 square foot, light-filled upper level apartment with an optional 1-bedroom apartment located below on the ground floor. One of the main features of this tidy home a wonderful deck with breathtaking views that can used year-round, weather allowing. The views are spectacular and the property has 3/4 of an acre. Highfield drive is not a through street so it is pastoral and quiet. The yard is large, wide open and yet protected in the back of the house. There is a gentle slope just perfect for an easy sledding hill!
The open kitchen has been renovated with plenty of storage, counter space, and quality appliances. The kitchen opens to a sitting area with sliding doors that go out to the deck, from there you step into the dining area and great room with plenty of seating for cozy evenings. The dining room table seats six and there is a home office station tucked into the corner of the living room. The rooms are open and light-filled with large picture windows or sliding doors. The living room has a gas stove to warm up those chilly days or nights.
There are two bedrooms: the master suite has a queen sized bed with two large built-in closets and drawers. The master has its own bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The second bedroom has a full bed with its own full bath, with tub/shower as well. This room also has a large closet, desk and dresser drawers. There is also a TV room/ den that has a full pullout sofa bed.
There is a washer and dryer in the dry, heated basement. There is central AC throughout.
Highfield Drive is on the Southern end of Lee making it quite central to all the winter attractions - just 17 minutes to Ski Butternut, and only 19 minutes to Ski Bousquet in Pittsfield. This property has one of the prettiest views in this area which makes it inviting as a winter or holiday getaway!
The lower level apartment will be available after January 5th, 2010. This space is a one bedroom / one bath which would be perfect for an in-law's apartment, nanny, or spare guest quarters. Please send me an inquiry for more information and pictures.

I manage vacation rentals throughout the Southern Berkshires and my role is to act as the liaison between the renter and the homeowner. There is no fee to the renter for my service. Why the Owner Chose Lee
This home is located on the southern edge of Lee so it is quite close to both Stockbridge and Great Barrington - providing a central location for skiing in winter as well as being in the center of all the summer culture the Berkshires is known for: wonderful shopping, restaurants, galleries, live theater, dance, hiking trails, swimming holes. We pretty much have it all here! Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow as well as many wonderful museums are all within a shirt drive, through the most stunning roadways in the Northeast.
