This was my second time renting this house. Both times it was to celebrate friends birthdays and each time it was with a different group of friends. We had 10 women this time and everyone had the same experience as the last group. We are all ready to return soon!!! The layout of the home allows for easy entertaining but also space for private times if one chooses. This is such a wonderful get away. We now feel we need to do this at least twice a year. Great owners to deal with. Couldn't be more pleased!!!

This was a great house for our extended family. We used all the bedrooms and the apartment and the kitchen was wonderful. The upstairs great room and dining area worked well for the 12 people and a baby we had with us. The recreation room in the basement was a busy area also. The views of the lake were awesome and the surrounding area was very quiet. The house was well equipped with tv and cable viewing in many rooms. Close to the quaint town of New Buffalo which we enjoyed. All in all a super week and a GREAT house.

A group of 14 of us rented the house for NYE weekend and had an awesome time. The house is perfect for large groups - the kitchen and adjoining dining/living room are great for relaxing and hanging out. The ping pong table in the basement didn't hurt either. Sleeping accommodations were very comfortable. All in all, it exceeded our expectations. So much so that we barely left the house the whole weekend.

We had a wonderful Fall girls getaway weekend in this beautiful house. The pictures don't do it justice! Plenty of space for everyone to spreadout. Property is nicely decorated and well maintained. The kitchen and living room space are great for gathering and cooking of course. Loved the huge dining room table. I don't think we turned on any TVs the entire weekend. Close to beach and short drive to several wineries. Would love to go back when it is warmer so we can sit out on the screened in porch or the balcony area. Owner is very nice and responsive to questions. Hope to go back soon.

Stayed at this house again with a group of girlfriends and, dare I say, had an even better time than earlier this year? I don't know how that is even possible! The home is GORGEOUS, the area amazing for walks and the beds the most comfortable ever! Can't wait to go back again!

this house is amazing. we had a family reunion here (and also rented Lake Breeze, across the street) and we couldn't have been happier. we had a large group here with people of all ages and everyone was completely comfortable. the house is gorgeous and the views are great. the house is incredibly well equipped with everything from linens to lotions to coffee filters to ketchup and it is clean and beautifully decorated. it is also laid out really well; it's very open and flowing and worked really well for groups of people moving around, doing various activities, cooking and visiting. the beach is just across the street and lovely. this house was just wonderful and i would recommend it entirely.

The house is fantastic and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great views of the lake and sunsets. A 1 minute walk to the beach. The beach is very rocky but aqua socks take care of that. Our family had a wonderful time. Swim in the lake all day then gather for dinner before you finish the night off with a fire in the backyard and smores.

This home was nothing less than spectacular. It is perfect for multiple families with small children. There is a huge basement with TV, which is where the kids hung out in the evening while the adults gathered on the main floor. Two large dining tables and fire pit in the back. The separate guest house is a gem and perfect if you have a family needing more privacy from the main house. The views are amazing.Comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms, all the decor and accessories were top notch.

I just spent this past weekend there with a group of women I work with on a Real Estate board as this was our retreat. What an amazing place to unwind, enjoy each others company as friends, and yes, get some serious work done! This place has EVERYTHING-top notch stove and appliances for cooking, a large refrigerator for storage and beverages, and the most serene view and AMAZING furniture for whatever purpose you are up there for. As my subject line states-can I move in?! I could live here all the time! Thank you-I can't wait to go back again!

An easy Drive from Chicago for busy professionals, this home offers the tranquility of a beach setting without getting on a plane. Great design, beautiful finishes, tons of light. My favorite room of the house.... the fabulous screened in porch, I didn't want to leave from the couch the whole weekend. Highly recommend for family getaway, girls weekend etc.

This is a paradise! A place to get away and be as secluded in this amazing "mansion of a place", or walk the beach, hit the outlet mall in Michigan City, great local food places etc... This home is like staying at a high end hotel! Beautifully decorated inside and out... enjoy views from every room, and a breeze off the water from every window. I could have stayed another WEEK just to enjoy the calm that comes over you knowing that you are "away from it all"...

I always like to stay at private homes when traveling and can say this was one the best experiences I have had. The photos do not do the space justice. As soon as I walked in, it felt welcoming. Beautiful and thoughtful touches throughout the place draw you in. The access and view of the water could not be better. The bedrooms generous and the bathrooms very updated. If you like to cook the kitchen doesn't get any better than thThis fully stocked dishware, barware, pots, pans... you name it. This home has plenty of space to spread out, interact with others or escape from the crowd. A worthwhile place you will definitely come back to again and again. I know I will.

The pictures do not do this place justice. I had the pleasure of staying with a group of friends and we had a fantastic time. The house was spacious, clean, and nicer than most of most of our homes in the city. The bamboo floors, nice appliances, and upgraded finishes made it hard to go back home. Everything was spotless and the views were stunning. They have a fantastic setup for watching big games (NCAA tournament was on non-stop on their big flatscreen) and a few ipod docks. The sleeping rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were heaven. The house was just off the beach and the screened in porch was perfect for cocktailing and enjoying the weather. We also enjoyed dining form the local Italian restaurant and brunch at Marilyn's. My gym membership thanks both of these establishments for my renewed commitment... It was a bit chilly out so staying in the house was an easy choice but I hope to come back sometime when it is a bit warmer!

Very impressive property. Great location. Easy access to beautiful beach. Clean and well kept. Fantastic great room area that flows to a screened deck; perfect for eating, playing cards/games and hanging out. We were inspired by the high-end finishes including Toto bath fixtures, rainfall shower heads (with adequate water pressure to support them), and high-end appliances in the kitchen. We were concerned about cell phone coverage, but Verizon worked great. Booking in February winter weather could have been an issue but when rain turned to ice overnight the town’s salt truck had gone past the house three times before 10 am keeping the roads clear. While we were not traveling with kids, we noted that the little guest house would be great for couples traveling with little ones that may need a little more privacy or a great hangout for older kids/teens. No hesitation in recommending this property to our family and friends.

Although you will definitely need your GPS at night to find this wonderful place, it will be well worth it. Even though it was winter, we had a wonderful time. The kitchen is perfect for family gathering and preparing meals for a huge crowd. The youngsters had plenty of room to roam, both in the house and outside building a snowman and sledding. Bedding and beds were very comfortable. We loved the large dining table, as well as the very large island with seating. The bathrooms were fabulous. There were plenty of games to play and we made good use of the pingpong table as well. All that being said, nothing could compare with the breath-taking view of the lake, particularly as the ice/snow floats came into shore and the went back out. A fabulous place to stay. We never left the house!

I recently stayed at this house for a girls weekend and was blown away by this home! We came from Chicago so this was only a 70 minute drive for us. There was plenty of space for all of the girls and could have stayed at the house all night! We did venture out to New Buffalo for one night but would recommend calling a cab; the unlit roads make it challenging to get around at night. Overall, this house was amazing and the owner was very nice and confirmed all details prior to our stay. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone and can't wait for an opportunity to go back again! Thank you!!

This was a wonderful place for 12 women to celebrate a friends 50th birthday. The home is equipped with everything that we needed to celebrate in style. The screened porch was a haven and most of the group never even left to go shoppong or see what was in the area away from the lake. Everyone was content to just relax and enjoy the company and take walks on the beach. We are thinking of doing this again in the near future. The house is so large and nicely spaced that no one was ever crowded. The view is so wonderful that no one even turned on the TV or watched any of the chick flicks that we brought. While the pictures are nice they can not display how wonderful and spacious the home is.

I can't say enough about this place. Ideally located near the beach, immaculate facility with several different area for groups to congregate. We had a large number of people up with a split between adults and young children. Lake View allowed us to spend quality time together, but also seperate into smaller groups when we wanted. The beach is a 1 minute walk away. The kids especially liked the detached loft unit and having "their own place". Hard to find a better place to enjoy a sunset than the back porch.

Recently I organized a girl's weekend to this house on the lake. Having never been there myself, I got a little nervous that it might not live up to the pictures and my friends would be disappointed. Not only did it meet my expectations, it far exceeded them!!! The house itself is gorgeous and perfectly suited for entertaining. There were nine of us girls there and we had more than enough space ...we never felt like we were falling all over each other or cramped. We spent the weekend relaxing on the beach (which is only a few steps away), playing games, drinking cocktails, chatting and cooking dinners in the fabulous kitchen. (Speaking of the kitchen...the owner told me that it was more than equipped for cooking and entertaining. I was still skeptical but she wasn't kidding! A few of us are avid cooks and we were ecstatic that we had everything we needed to make some great dinners!) The views were spectacular, which made it great to hang out on the screeded in porch when we were at the beach. It's perfectly located for a getaway from Chicago since it's a short and easy drive. I HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone who wants the perfect lake vacation!

We had 9 girls who needed to get away from the city life and head to the beach! This rental was absolutely perfect! With it's large, open floor plan, it not only housed all of us comfortably, it was modern, chic, and beautifully decorated with amazing views to boot! The kitchen was amazing, and fully capable for all of our meals and dinner parties! The location is prime with the beach only a short walk away ... Our entire weekend was spent being sun goddesses during the day, and utilizing every inch of the house at night for dinner, cocktails, gossip, and games!

Great house, with a fabulous kitchen. Can't beat the views of Lake Michigan, and it was an easy drive from Chicago. It was a short stroll down a hill from the house to the lake, probably 1 minute max. walk. Would definitely recommend the place and would certainly go back! The Owner went above and beyond to accomodate us - very helpful.

Girls weekend at this property in Michiana was wonderful! Listing was accurate, photos don't do the house justice - it's even better than the photo. Property was clean and well-maintained. Screened-in porch is fabulous! Owner was helpful when we had a question. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative in a heart-beat. I would definitely rent this property again if the opportunity arises.

Perfectly located across from Lake Michigan's beach, we spent a fabulous weekend at the Lakeview House in May. Let me say... the photos just barely touch on the panoramic views and top-notch GREAT room. It is ideal for larger groups... everyone can be hanging out in the same room... whether reading and relaxing on the large couch soaking in the views of Lake Michigan OR enjoying cocktails around the large island while cooking dinner. Right off the kitchen is a brand new gas grill with a side yard, which makes for convenient grilling. In addition, the basement is equipped with a large couch and a big screen TV once the sun has gone down (if you're so inclined to stay indoors!). And, the master bedroom has a gorgeous deck with stunning views… very peaceful. All in all, this house was everything we could ask for and more... I hope to return to New Buffalo soon to take advantage of it again!

Headed up to Michigan for my brother's bachelor party. We initially planned on staying at one of the owner's other houses, but she recommended this one as its bigger and will give us more space for the 21 guys driving up from Chicago! Everyone loved the place! The amenities are great, very spacious where we could fit everyone in the same room in both the living room/kitchen area as well as the basement. The place is top notch with a nice outdoor area attached the the kitchen (where we grilled and played bags). It exceeded all of our expectations. And the owners were GREAT to deal with, very accommodating, flexible and understanding.
