You can’t help but being fascinated by Villa Scannelli and its unique location, which offers you a 360 degree view of the idyllic Orcia Valley, overlooking the enchanting Tuscan countryside encasing the medieval towns of Montalcino, Pienza and San Quirico. The villa is situated on the top of a hill and surrounded by ancient cypresses and regular rows of olive groves, always green at throughout the year. Villa Scannelli is the pearl of the district and your stay there will plunge you into a total Tuscan countryside experience. The structure is a two-storey “U” shaped building dating back to the 1600s and retaining the original terracotta flooring, wooden-beam floors and the ancient quality of arched ceilings. The house has got spacious rooms with an antique-style furnishing, but it is not missing modern comfort and elegance. Outdoors there is a well equipped porch and veranda, where the guests can enjoy a pleasant breakfast or dinner “al fresco”.
Starting from the main entrance on the left there is a studio area, a bathroom with shower and laundry, a small bar and a big living room with sofas, tables and satellite TV. On the right there is a big dining room with a fireplace and the kitchen, also on this floor is a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. All the downstairs rooms give onto the inner court. In front of the main entrance there is a big stone staircase leading to the first floor. On this floor there is the night area: there are 6 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower.
Park: The 5000 square metres park is surrounded by cypresses, plants, flowers and is mainly kept as lawn. There is a covered parking, a paved inner court around the old well and an arched gallery connecting the main building to the swimming pool area.
Swimming pool: The swimming pool, offering a wonderful view on the panorama, measures 15 x 7,5 m., with a variable depth from 0,90 to 2,30 m. open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October. The area around the pool is either brick floored or lawn and is furnished with comfortable lounges, umbrellas and an outdoor shower.

- Villa Scannelli is a special property located on Val d’Orcia hill facing the beautiful medieval towns of Montalcino, Pienza and San Quirico. The villa offers a 360° degree view on the entire valley. It’s location enables excursions to the thermal site of this part of Tuscany Bagno Vignoni, San Filippo, Rapolano Terme as well as all the most beautiful locations in this nice region. Siena it’s at about 45km and also Tuscany coast is reachable in less than an hour being Grosseto area at 80 Km. The nearest motorway is the A1 exit Chiusi Chianciano (40 km), also the nearest train station is Chiusi.
