Welcome the fresh evening air, as the lights of the Seattle skyline decorate the night sky.
This rural residential area, is just south of Kingston on the part of Puget Sound called Port Madison. It was originally established (in 1916) as a summer community for Seattleites. The Indianola dock, built when the Mosquito Fleet boats supplied the majority of transportation on Puget Sound, was easy access for weekending families. Now this local landmark has been converted for recreational use (shortened to 870 feet), and the center of on-going local activity.

Conveniently located just one hour from downtown Seattle. TAKE THE 30 MINUTE (BAINBRIDGE) FERRY FROM DOWNTOWN SEATTLE AND ANOTHER SHORT 25 MINUTE DRIVE TO PARADISE. JUST MINUTES to Suquamish, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bainbridge Island. You can also take the Edmonds to Kingston Ferry, or drive around via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. We're just 7 miles from the popular Clearwater Casino.
Public beach access is adjacent to the property, or if you prefer,down a winding trail directly from the patio.
Bring your boat and launch it at the public boat ramp just a few blocks away. Moor it out front on our buoy.
The Indianola Country Store is a must-see stop. It houses an accumulation of antique memorabilia in a quaint red building, and the owner will remember your name when you come back. Our home is a quick 2 minute walk to the store, post office, and community center.
All linens, cooking utensils, full-size appliances, three flat panel TV's with free cable channels, DVD player, WiFi for your portable laptop, gas grill, fire pit etc. are available to you for the perfect "home-away-from-home" beach getaway.
First level: Entry, custom 3/4 bath with walk-in shower, laundry room with full size washer/dryer, a "great room" style living area, a gourmet kitchen which includes two ovens, full size stainless appliances, maple cabinets, granite counters and a huge center island. The living area spills off to a large 1500 square foot deck/patio area for your entertaining enjoyment...overlooking a breathtaking Puget Sound waterfront view!
Second level: Living/dining area with sleeper sofa for two, huge deck with patio seating as well. A "king" bedroom with walk-in closet. Across the hallway is a separate private room with a (full/twin) bunk-bed that sleeps three more. One full bath.
Third level: Sitting area adjacent to a "queen" bedroom with walk-in closet...looking out to another spacious, view deck. A separate private room with a full-size futon sofa that sleeps two, and a daybed that sleeps one more. One full bath.
THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN IN OUR FAMILY FOR OVER 90 YEARS, but the house is new - and we'd like to share the view with you!

- Swim, sail, water-ski, kayak, explore and play off one of the best beaches in the State. In season, you can fish, crab, dig for clams, or just do nothing at all! One of the more interesting things in town is the annual summer festival "Indianola Days", complete with fun run, amateur sand castle building, salmon bake, occasional talent show, and pet parade!

May - Sep: 4 night minimum
$300/nt.. $1900/week, $3600/two weeks (max)
Tax is included in all rental rates.
Cleaning fee: $150 (6 guests or less) ~ $195 (7 guests or more)
$250 (refundable) deposit is required.

This beautiful property overlooking Puget Sound, Seattle and Bainbridge Island was purchased in 1916 by my husband's great grandmother, and has remained in the family all these years! Three summers ago, the (2nd) house built on the property burned down. This is all new....and we'd love to share the view with you!

If you're looking for a waterfront vacation place not too far from Seattle (but far enough), this is it. The home is located in tiny Indianola and sits on the edge of a bluff which overlooks Bainbridge and Seattle. There are public access stairs to the beach on the east side of the home on the other side of the fence. The home itself is fantastic...three floors, each with a deck. It's brand new, and furnished with everything you would possibly need. Another thing I liked is although you have neighbors, they aren't right on top of you and house is situated so that it's very private. It's about 12 minutes from the Kingston ferry, and 25-30 minutes to the Bainbridge ferry. The owners were great to deal with, and I'm definitely coming back here. Just do your grocery shopping in Kingston or Poulsbo before you arrive, and you'll never need or want to leave. The Indianola Country Store is a three to five minute walk in case you forget something. Great made to order sandwiches!
