My 3 sisters, Mom and I spent 3 wonderful days here celebrating my youngest sister's 50th birthday. This house was perfect for us!! I chose it because we were able to have personal space as we needed it and also were able to easily come together in 2's, 3's or all 5 of us. The view of the ocean is uplifting and beautiful. The house is fully supplied and clean. I can't wait to come back again!!!

We found this home to rent on VRBO and were excited that it slept 12! We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner here in this gourmet kitchen for all! We stayed in our slippers and beach-combing shoes the full 3 days we were here. Scrap-booking, knitting, quilting, and beading were just a few of the activities that kept us indoors but loving the view from ALL THREE floors of this amazing home. The owners were wonderful to work with, the beds were comfortable, the linens were plentiful and high quality, the home was immaculate! We will stay here again, thank you for sharing it!
Owner response:The beach house is the perfect venue for a girls weekend! So happy you had a wonderful time!:)

My family and I rented this house for a week to celebrate my Grandfather's 90th birthday. What a great time we had! The house is amazing and fully stocked with everything that you would need. I mean they didn't miss a thing. From the first-aid kits and the batteries and flashlights, candles (which were needed due to a short power outage in the town!), to the skewers for roasting marshmallows...I could go on! Very nice place in a beautiful little town! Thank you for returning the books we left behind and most importantly thank you for the fond memories that will last a life time!

This is a beautiful house, comfortable, elegant, well-appointed. The kitchen is advertised as "gourmet," which I took to be standard real-estate speak. But really, this is a GOURMET kitchen, with sharp knives, great frying pans, lots of appliances, dishes, silverware... there wasn't an item we needed that we couldn't find. Lots of fluffy white towels, comfortable beds, TVs, wireless internet, baby stuff (a crib/playpen and high chair). The view from the deck and balconies is fantastic, even on a cloudy day. And on a sunny day, it's heaven. Two kayaks and a rowboat. The beach is classic Puget Sound coarse sand with lots of rocks that kids love to turn over to see the crabs. The stairs to the beach are steep and uneven, but my 87-year-old dad made it up the stairs (with some help from his grandkids). You can't go wrong with this house.

We rented this wonderful house because our son was getting married at a home a few doors down the road. We ended up having the most wonderful vacation in addition to the wedding. This house is just perfect!! Every inch of it is immaculate and beautifully decorated. It's so comfortable we just felt immediately at home. And as wonderful as the house is, the setting is even more fantastic. Indianola is charming and the house is right on Peuget sound. We thought we were only attending a wedding. We also ended up clamdigging, crabbing (YUM!!) kayaking, watching the bald eagle who visitied the house every day and just enjoying the views and serenity. Our 3 year old granddughter had a blast on the beach collecting shells. We plan to be back next summer. Thank you Debbie for sharing your house. We loved it.
Owner response:Thanks so much Michele - that is so good to hear! My 84 yr old mother-in-law grew up in a little cabin on the property. She spends a lot of time with us, and really loves reading the comments in the journal, on the web, etc. She is so pleased to know that the new house (and the view) are being enjoyed by wonderful families like yours!

The stay at the Beach House currently ranks as our best family vacation. The reason for this is all about the beautiful house with plenty of space, great location, and a great owner to work with. The owners have a best in class house that comes with all of the amenties that one could want for a vacation. The house is very spacious and provided my wife, me, 3 kids (ages between 4 to 8), and dog with plenty of space to relax and have a great time. The 3 levels is perfect for a family as it allows plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do things that they enjoy doing. The 2nd level was nice as the kids were able to go up to that level and watch movies, TV, and play games, while my wife enjoyed readings books, or sitting outside. The pictures are very accurate and the property is in outstanding shape. The house was very clean and well-maintained as the owners have a lot of items to keep you busy. The house has games, binoculars to take a look at the views, wide range of books and movies. Even better it has cable TV and Wifi service. We ended up bringing too many things as the house had everything one would need. Next time we will definitely pack lighter. The house does have a very big kitchen and has all the supplies that one could want to cook with. In addition they have a great BBQ grill out on the deck. One night we did an iron chef cook off and there was plenty of room for various people to make different dishes without getting in each other's way. The location of the house is amazing as we spent a lot of time out on the beach and out on the patio by the fire pit. In addition to simply exploring the beach, we had fun watching our Dog run around and playing in the water. We also had a great day of flying Kites out on the beach. The fire pit became a nightly thing for my family as we made Smores, had a hot dog roast, and just had fun spending time as a family. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. A great example was that she texted me when the house was ready for check in which ended up being earlier then the agreed upon time. When not enjoying the beach or spending time relaxing there are a number of fun towns to visit and we found a lot of great places to eat by using Yelp app on our iPad. Some of the highiights: Port Gamble, Poulsbo, Kingston. In addition there are a number of great stores within short driving distance with great fresh produce/fish to allow for some awesome home cooked meals. Thanks again!

What a beautiful Beach House, the views are amazing!! The most equipped home we have rented. We were 2 families( 12 of us) with young children ages 4 to teenagers and we had plenty of room. Very clean and organized, beautifully updated, comfortable and quiet . The firepit was the gathering place. A lovely beach below, great for walks with kids and let them explore. Indianola Country Store IS a must-see and only at end of street, very cute. We did have a rainy weekend but staying at such a nice place....we loved it! This Beach House comes highly recommended.
Owner response:Maria, We are so pleased that you had a wonderful time creating new memories at the beach house! Our neighbors mentioned how fun it was to watch the kids go back and forth from the beach to the fire-pit ...in spite of the rainy weather! Cant wait to have you back!

This was a perfect home away from home during the holidays! We had 3 generations in the home and never felt crowded. Everyone has their own personal space. Everything that you could want is taken care of. We cooked christmas dinner for 7 and the kitchen was perfect for that. Our favorite part was watching the tide go in and out at night from the top bedroom! The home is luxurious but also feels just like home. You can't go wrong staying here!!!!

The weekend we chose to come to Indianola was the wetest weekend in recent times but we still enjoyed ourselves. The outside seating areas, both covered and open, are great for enjoying the Pacific NW beauty and nature. This home is perfect for creating separate living spaces for multiple couples and families wanting privacy or to socialize. Even though we all ended up in the kitchen area on the main floor it is spacious enough for a large group. The home is beautifully appointed with a style that is both inviting and relaxing. The Indianola community has a history you can feel and we enjoyed just walking the neighborhood, visiting the local store, and viewing beautiful historical homes. The pictures are great but I was surprised at the details that were taken for our enjoyment that you just can't see in pictures. I look forward to returning and will recommend this home to all my friends and family. We needed more time to enjoy all the activities the area offered and maybe next time we will get lucky and get a crab or geoduck. Thank you Deb and Jeff!

This home is a real jewel, nestled in a beautiful location. We had a family reunion with 10 people at this home and we all had plenty of space and comfort. Waking up to the view of the "Sound" and beach was relaxing and inspiring. The entire house was updated and appointed with every ammenity you would want. (We really appreciated all the soft, comfy throws to use on the chilly evenings around the fire pit). There was plenty of "spots" to quietly sneak away to read or write. I would love to return to this special place again for another visit to Washington!

We stayed here for a week and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! For the price of 2 hotels rooms for a week we got a gorgeous house with great amenities! The location was amazing and we walked down to the beach every chance we could! The owners were super helpful and easy to contact! The power went out one night and Debbie did what she could to keep us informed on what was happening and when the power would be back on. Overall, this was an amazing house and I would love to go back here next time I plan a trip to WA!

Wow, what a property! We just spent one of our best weeks in the Puget Sound. This newer property is orientated on the lot to get the very best views. Downtown Seattle from Queen Anne Hill to the harbor lights and around Alki Beach. Fantastic views from every window. It is nice to sit in the living room off the kitchen while kids are fixing food and visiting. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is the property. Owners are great and very accommodating. Great little café (Luna) within 10 minutes. We would highly recommend The Indianola Beach House for a place that makes memories!

This place was an absolutely exquisite location for our church pastors to get away to. We knew the area would be beautiful, but were blown away upon arriving and seeing all of the unique design touches to make it feel like a very warm, inviting, getaway home- and those views- WOW, unparalleled views of Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, Seattle Skyline, Mountains! This place was so gorgeous and memorable, we felt extremely blessed to get the chance to be there. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

My husband, our dog, myself and 9 of our closest friends and family spent the weekend in this wonderful house celebrating my 50th birthday. The house is wonderfully furnished, with comfortable seating and beautiful views from almost every room. The kitchen was very well stocked and allowed us to have many wonderful meals. Having a second common area with a TV was great and allowed some to watch football without being bothered by "the chatters" and vice versa. Access to the beach was great and everyone, especially the dog enjoyed it to the fullest. Kudos to the owners for allowing pets! The neighbors and the Country Store are very friendly as well. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to celebrate. We'll be back.

I have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals over the years but this was by far the very best! While the pictures posted do indeed illustrate the home quite nicely, they in no way completely exemplify this amazing home. I grew up on the Kitsap peninsula but had never heard of Indianola. This tiny little town is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle yet just a short ferry ride away from the city and central to almost all local attractions. This southern facing home offers up breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier, the Seattle skyline, and shipping lanes. We sat all day in the sun lounging on the open patio just taking in the view! The outdoor fireplace also allowed us to enjoy the cool evenings having fireside chats over steamy mugs of hot chocolate. This home is shiny new; it's clean and is also comfortably furnished. The three levels offer privacy for a big group yet cozy enough for two as well. The owner is a delight to work with and very responsive to all of your questions. We will surely return because now that we've found the best, why look any further?

If you're looking for a waterfront vacation place not too far from Seattle (but far enough), this is it. The home is located in tiny Indianola and sits on the edge of a bluff which overlooks Bainbridge and Seattle. There are public access stairs to the beach on the east side of the home on the other side of the fence. The home itself is fantastic...three floors, each with a deck. It's brand new, and furnished with everything you would possibly need. Another thing I liked is although you have neighbors, they aren't right on top of you and house is situated so that it's very private. It's about 12 minutes from the Kingston ferry, and 25-30 minutes to the Bainbridge ferry. The owners were great to deal with, and I'm definitely coming back here. Just do your grocery shopping in Kingston or Poulsbo before you arrive, and you'll never need or want to leave. The Indianola Country Store is a three to five minute walk in case you forget something. Great made to order sandwiches!
