  We just returned from a 2 week stay at the love shack suite. Although the condo was well equipped with everything we may have needed, I would never rent there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. It was not brought to our attention before our stay that we would be in a construction zone in our building for 8 of the 14 days we were there. Waking up to the sound of jackhammers and drilling wasn't exactly something I would call "relaxing". Once contacted by us, owner of the building didn't seem to care about about the quality of our stay. Mahalo.

  Owner response: As the owner of Love Shack Suite I am sorry about the construction, but I was not informed of it until this guest emailed me. I checked with the condo assoc and they said they sent out emails, but apparently not to me or several other owners thai I checked with. This happens sometimes and I amsorry about it - I have added my name to the emai list with the cndo assoc and hopefully yjid will not happen again. Fred Hegge

  The condo was really wonderful. The renovations make the place terrific - we saw other units in the complex and this one was so much nicer! The view is fabulous - ocean and mountain. The bed was really comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Owner was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. Simply couldn't beat it for the price. The lanai is big and sheltered from the wind. Having the coolers there was really nice. Complex is well located and quiet. The BBQ area is a big plus. Everyone very friendly. It was very hard to leave - really felt like home away from home. We'd love to come back.

  My wife and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary. The Love Shack was as much as $1000 cheaper than comparable condos. When you get a deal like that, you wonder if it's going to be worth it. The answer is a resounding yes! The condo is well appointed with everything you need, it's tastefully decorated, clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable and the view excellent. It was towards the end of the whale season but I still saw one in the morning whilst sipping my coffee on the balcony - with help from the binoculars that are also provided. The complex is kept very clean and neat, it's quiet at night (we're lightweights and didn't stay up late), the pool and hot tub are also very nice. You do need a car, but then that's true pretty much anywhere in Kihei. Overall I have nothing bad to say, there's always a point or two that might not be "perfect" - but they are nothing more very minor and didn't detract from the experience at all. If we go again - that's where I'm staying.

  We fell in love with this suite. It was the perfect size for us, was well stocked (beach umbrella was so handy!), nicely decorated, and the view was great. Additionally, the bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in! We'll be back! :)

  The condo was fantanstic and way more than we expected! It was very clean and had eveything we needed. The owner has excellent taste for decorating and it shows in every detail. The place is just beatuiful and it was very hard for us to leave. Al and Rose Michel

  Had a great time, this place is perfect. Kihei is wonderful and the road to Hana is a must. Whale watching from the balcont is an added plus. We had friends in two other units and ours was by far the nicest. Marty and Goldie Kenney

  If you are returning to Maui for family gatherings or special occasions, this is a great place to stay if you don't like staying with family or relatives. The rate is reasonable and the location of this unit is great. The lanai has good ocean and pool view and is uniquely situated in a location that is protected from the strong trade winds in winter and spring which can be annoying when outside. This unit is very well furnished . You can go out and get your favorite local foods and enjoy it on the lanai. The only thing missing was a rice cooker which is essential for kamainas and asians. Instead of staying in one of the two hotels in Kahului, try this place, you'll enjoy it.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

  Thank-you for a fabulous romantic honeymoon at your beautiful Love Shack Suite. It was so special to be your first renters. We had everything plus what we needed in your unit. The bed was comfy and we could see the ocean while lying in bed. The huge shower was big enough for two. Maholo Hegges We'll be back for our first anniversary for sure.
