With 3,700-square-feet over two stories (plus an additional 2,000-square-feet of covered lanai), this spacious house has four bedrooms, three baths, and two living rooms, making it ideal for larger gatherings of families or friends.
Situated at the top of a small, very private enclave, Wailani is just a two-minute walk down a paved path to a small, sandy beach decorated by nature with bleached driftwood sculpture against black lava outcroppings. It’s a stunning spot, yet nearly yours alone--perfect for snorkeling, sunbathing or enjoying shade and views of Maui and the Kohala Mountains. For the adventurous, you’ll also be just steps from the Ala Kahakai Trail, the pathway of the ali’i (royalty), and now part of the National Park Service Trail System.

Aloha, I am the property manager for the Owners of Wailani, located on my favorite beach, Waialea Bay (locally known as Beach 69) I live on this beach as well, so will be available to meet you upon arrival, to answer any questions you might have before or during your stay. Why the Owner Chose Puako
The reason we bought the house is because we had never seen anything like it before on any of the islands: an elegant, spacious house in a small, friendly community adjacent to one of the nicest beaches we have ever seen. We weren't interested in the crowds of hotel and resort communities, so when we are on this beach we feel a world away from the busyness of our own lives, and even the busyness of the nearby resorts.
The Unique Benefits of this Private Home
The beach was a primary reason for wanting to buy a home in this area - it is a beautiful, sandy beach, protected and somewhat wild, with small coves created by kiawe trees that offer privacy and shade. The snorkeling is amazing, the water is warm and clear, great for swimming in summer, with small waves in the winter. Lava outcroppings create interest and habitat for multitudes of colorful fish, turtles and manta rays. The pool was an extra bonus. It just had everything we wanted in a Hawaiian beach house.
