The first thing you'll notice when you approach our villa is the stained glass portrait of the Sirena Azul. And after you've parked the car in the gated drive, you'll enter through the typical Mexican Parota wood doorway into the two story foyer.
It will take you a minute to take in all of the unique design of the home. And you'll stand for a moment on the marble floor as you turn to view the "Nordic Storm", a large piece of artwork showing the struggles of a team of nordic sailors who probably were seeking out the beautiful Sirena Azul.
Walking through the house, you'll pass the fully equipped kitchen to find yourself in the circular dining room. You'll see the round table that seats up to eight, surrounded by the wall of windows overlooking the back yard. And turning to the left, you'll step down to the sunken living room, with another full wall of windows to bring in the ocean view.
Casa Sirena Azul offers three large bedrooms containing 4 beds, all of which have a private bathroom ensuite. The Master bedroom, containing a King bed, has a ceiling cuppola and a whirlpool bath. The two upstairs bedrooms have sliding glass doors that access the huge terrace... the best place to enjoy morning coffee and late afternoon margaritas. The downstairs bedroom, complete with two queen beds, is handicap accessible - the perfect location for the elderly family members. We even provide a crib for very small children.
Outside of the villa, you'll find a courtyard containing your own private infinity pool. A gas grill is nearby, and you are surrounded by seasonal flowers. The yard is terraced to slowly transition you down to the wide sandy beach, where the waves are gentle because you are well protected by the bay.
One of the nicest things about Casa Sirena Azul is the location. You are on the beach. You are steps away from the areas newest Marina. Fabulous restaurants are a short 4-6 blocks walk. The arts and shopping of Bucerias are just down the beach - a short 2 mile or so drive on the roads, or a much shorter walk on the sand. Punta de Mita is only a ten minute drive north, while the Puerto Vallarta Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport is only 20 minutes south. You have the luxury of all of the bustle of downtown Puerto Vallarta nearby along with all the laid back relaxation of real Mexican life.
We provide all the linens and towels you will need, all the kitchen equipment, and all the technology. American and Canadian cable TV is provided, with a DVD player and a collection of videos. You'll have an Ipod ready stereo as well. Secure wireless internet is run throughout the villa, so you can truly enjoy our rental home in La Cruz.
Our goal is to provide you with a vacation experience that will make you come back time and time again. Our rental villa will be your second home.

Why the Owner Chose La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
First we fell in love with the fishing village of LaCruz de Huanacaxtle. It truly is a fishing village, so much so that the secondary school here is a vocational school where students learn about the fishing industry. Before we visited the area for the first time, we read about Philo's, a sailors pub! And being the sailors that we are, we had to investigate. It turns out that Philo's is a hub for the ex-pats from the USA, Canada, even Britain! When we looked around more, we became entranced with the lifestyle of the ex-pats living side by side with the Mexican locals. And then we found the villa. Our rental home in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is one of the few that are actually on the beach. The infinity swimming pool makes you feel like you are one with the Bay of Banderas, and the views of Puerto Vallarta lights at night are so very romantic.
The Unique Benefits at this
When we purchased Casa Sirena Azul, we knew we would be one of many rental homes / villas in Puerto Vallarta and La Cruz. So we wanted to make our rental property the best. First we added an extra room on the beach side of the house. This new living room provides incredible views overlooking the ocean and the marina. You can watch the yachts entering and leaving the Marina Riviera Nayarit for their day at sea, and see the local fishermen working their nets and bringing in their catch. From the upstairs bedrooms, you have access to the huge terrace. We enjoy our morning breakfast here, where the views are even better. The mountains behind Vallarta are clearly seen, and it is so exciting to watch a summer storm across the bay. And in the afternoon, we walk to the marina mercado to pick up fresh fish for the evening meal. We eat at our round table that seats 6-8 easily, surrounded by a wall of round glass overlooking the beach view. As evening approaches, it is so relaxing to have a margarita on the terrace while watching the sun go down, and the lights of downtown Puerto Vallarta come up. We know you will enjoy the best rental home in La Cruz!

We've just purchased Casa Sirena Azul as our second home, and decided to make it into a rental home in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
