Nestled on 10 lush woodland acres, this newly built timber frame log home is right out of the pages of Log Home living. With its 24+ foot high ceilings, massive cedar beams, and two-story native Wisconsin stone fireplace, you may never want to leave. The open-concept home features radiant floors to take the chill out of those crisp fall evenings and a stone fireplace that will add warmth to those special family gatherings. Granite and slate complement the bathrooms and spacious kitchen. Star gazing and s'mores by the outdoor fire pit will be a favorite activity when friends and family gather after dinner. And the log master bedroom will be the perfect ending to your perfect day.
Timber House is just 8 minutes from downtown Egg Harbor and 15 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay. Just 7 minutes from Horseback riding and the Orchards, and 5 minutes from the Door Peninsula Winery, Door County Coffee shop (the best coffee house on the Peninsula), and the bay!
From Sturgeon Bay, stay on Rt 42 over the bridge and onto the Peninsula. Timber House is about 12 minutes from the bridge off of Townline Rd. When you see the Door Peninsula Winery Sign and the Lost Moth Gallery sign, prepare to turn left onto Town Line Rd. About 1 mile down the road you will see Shady Acres Lane on the right. Take Shady Acres all the way to the last drive on the left. Timber House-5579 Shady Acres Lane.
The owners, Jason and Jamie occupy the Caretaker's apartment in the lower private level of the home and are available to assure that your stay in Door County is absolutely delightful.

- Timber House is a timber frame home surrounded by 10 acres of beautiful pines and birches. The views are of the pine and birch forest. There is a large deck and yard that surrounds the home as well as a fire pit, picnic table, hammock, and walking trails surrounding the home. This home is great for a romantic get-a-way for two, friends get away, or a family gathering.

- We have hiking /cross country trails on the property. Also,we are the closest vacation rental to the Wineries, Orchards, and horseback riding.Frank E Murphy County Park. Murphy Park has beautiful sandy beaches swimming,picnic area, and boating -just 5 miles away. Quarry Park has the best local fishing and public boat launch- also 5 miles away.
Rate Details (In US Dollars)
May-Oct .. $275/night (3 night minimum) .. $1800/week
Nov-April .. $225/night (3 night minimum) .. $1450/week
State and Local taxes will be added to the total rental rate.
A $75 cleaning charge will be added to stays less than 3 nights.
1/2 rate req 60 days prior to stay. Balance due 14 days prior to stay.
$250 security deposit required. Check in time 3pm. Check out time 11am.

Year Purchased: 2009
We had been vacationing to Door County for 10 years and not a trip went by without us saying " If only we had a place up here". We were spending more and more time in Door County, finding our favorite places and then discovering new ones. Each trip and each season was more beautiful than the one before. We were attracted to the friendly people and abundance of fun activities as well as quiet retreats; but most of all, we were finding that each trip to Door County was bringing us closer together. We hope that you enjoy your stay at Timber House as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Egg Harbor
When we stumbled upon Timber House, we were convinced that this was all meant to be. Timber House is located just outside of Egg Harbor, close enough to shops and the Wine Country, yet far enough away from the crowds and commotion that you can really relax. Having all the land is great. The wild flowers, and wildlife abound here! and although you are in the woods, you are close enough to all the attractions when you want them. When it's time to head back home, you don't have to fight all the traffic. It's the perfect location!
The Unique Benefits of this House
I love the spaciousness of this open-concept home. Its massive cedar beams are so beautiful. The upstairs bedrooms overlook the great room and have balconies off of each that are very nice for those crisp evenings when you want to sit outside for a while and gaze at the stars. We love to grill out and sit under the pergola or by the fire pit with family and friends. Our favorite restaurants are nearby as are the wineries, shops, and orchards, so we are never short of something to do when relaxing isn't enough. We make it a priority to spend at least one day by the water, and with many area beaches and bays nearby, we never run out of places to visit or spots to put in the kayaks for an afternoon of adventure.
