One of the bedrooms is a very private master suite on the first floor featuring a king size bed, private bathroom, and two sitting/reading/TV rooms. Two TVs and wireless internet access are included.
Old Menauhant, a private enclave of 100 homes connected by dirt roads, slow moving cars, many bicycles, and a few golf carts, is located on a protected estuary with direct access to Vineyard Sound.
This classic beach house is one of the premier homes in Old Menauhant, enjoying front row status and views of the harbor, Washburn Island, Vineyard Sound, and the Waquoit Bay area. The home features expansive beach and waterfront views from bed and public rooms, a covered wrap-around porch, and a widow's walk that even expands all these views. The property includes its own private beach and deepwater dock.
The Menauhant Yacht Club (for a membership fee) offers tennis, and two larger, private beaches. There is also a large, public beach within easy walking distance. Four kayaks, one sunfish, and a few well used bicycles are included in the rental.
Nearby Falmouth, Mashpee Commons, and Woods Hole all provide a variety of shopping, restaurants, and other attractions. Ferries to Martha's Vineyard run regularly from Falmouth and Woods Hole and a ferry to Nantucket sails from Hyannis (17 miles away).
