Pet Friendly Beach - House with a Touch of Class
- Minimum stay:N/A

This house is PET FRIENDLY. It is in a quiet neighborhood where families enjoy ocean and country side views. It is a beautiful and comfortable home that is just 2 blocks to the beach.
This home is a great choice for larger groups and also for multiple families sharing the home. The upstairs living area is open and spacious making it a great place for everyone to hang out. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all connected and open to each other so while the cooks are creating a gourmet dinner, others can watch a little TV or enjoy the fireplace but still visit with the chefs! The living area has a large wrap-around deck with a barbeque grill and you can enjoy great filtered views of Morro Rock and the ocean from inside and outside. The side by side refrigerator, extra large pots, microwave and table are very accommodating for large groups.
Plenty of seating is provided in both the living room and at the dining table. There is also a ½ bath upstairs.
The master bedroom is upstairs down the hall from the living room. It is very large with a king size bed, a couch, TV and private bathroom with a tub/shower with hand-held showerhead. It also has two separate decks – a small private deck and the larger wrap-around deck that provides direct access via stairs to the hot tub in the back yard below. The master bedroom enjoys some ocean views and great countryside views.
There are two bedrooms downstairs. One has a very comfortable queen size bed. The other has 5 single beds, making it perfect for all the kids to share. These bathrooms share a bathroom that has a tub/shower combination with a hand-held showerhead. The owner has also provided additional mattresses that can be placed in the living area or the master bedroom in order to sleep additional people.
When you are ready to relax after a full day of sightseeing or playing at the beach, you can grab a drink and head to the back yard patio area. Here you can enjoy the large hot tub or just sitting outside among nice landscaping in a protected area with plenty of seating.
The location of this home is ideal. It is on the north end of Morro Bay in a quiet neighborhood but just 2 blocks to reach the beach! Since this home is dog-friendly, the proximity to the beach even more important. (Yes, the beach area does allow dogs!)
The Harbor is just 3 miles south. There are Antique shops, Restaurants, Gift Shops and a Fresh Fish Market. Rent a Surry, enjoy the local Skate Board Park and Bike Path. Take a stroll and watch the Pelican's dive for their meals. The under water tour is highly recommended. Just a short walk or drive takes you to the Blue Heron Rookery, the beautiful Morro Bay Golf Course, Museum, and State Park where Wild Turkeys and Deer wander about. Cayucas is just 3 miles north with additional shops, a pier, surfing and Farmer's Market.
NOTE: Smoking is not allowed in the house.
Smoking is allowed on the deck and yard area.

My husband & I wanted to find a beach house large enough for our adult children and their families - a total of 7 adults and 4 children. This is the place to go! The room with 5 twin beds fit our daughter, son-in-law and 3 kids aged 12, 6, and 2. Our son and his wife and baby were happy in the queen bedroom. And we settled into the master bedroom. Our single son came later and slept on a twin pillow top mattress in the living room. The living room/kitchen area was great for the whole family to eat, visit and play games. After a day at the beach, only a few walking blocks away, the hot tub was a joy!! Very kicked back and relaxed home - no worries that you will dirty up a white carpet with beach sand. Our two dogs had a great time too. Easy access to a dog beach and great enclosed yard. Jean was a dream and check in & out was a breeze. We will definitely be back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I rented the house for almost 2 weeks. My 2 dogs and I were welcomed by Jean the owner who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The house was great! The wrap around deck gave my 2 dogs secure access to the backyard or they could go throughh the garage. The beds were comfortable and the home was fully stacked with more than I could use. Everything was provided for me-linens, TP,Paper towels, soap. Because I had a long stay I did purchase some things but I expected to. Her prices , when compared to other houses inthe area was very reasonable. I plan on renting there again. I have since then rent her place in downtown Morro Bay on Monterey ave. I enjoyed that as wel. It doesn't have as much of a view as the house on whidbey, but it is within walking distance to restaurants, pubs, shopping, beach and the embarcadero. I couldnt make up my mind which I liked better. But Jean and Nancy were so friendly, kind and helpful I will definitely be back. I loved Morro Bay !Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family travelled from PA to CA for a family reunion and surprise 80th birthday present for an aunt. We had planned a mini-vacation within our vacation to travel to Morro Bay for a few days. We had 15 people staying at this location and had a GREAT time. We were thrilled to find accomodations that allowed all of us to stay together to make the most of our time together during our 3-day stay. We found everything that we needed (bed linens, kitchen items, etc.) and while it took a little time to figure out exactly where everyone was going to sleep, when we included the two twin mattresses that were provided, we managed it quite nicely. It was a five minute walk to the beach and a ten minute drive to shopping and dining. The property was clean and well-maintained. We used the hot tub and, though it could have heated up a bit more, it was quite enjoyable. There was plenty of storage space for the items we brought with us. The bed linens could have been a BIT better organized, but once we checked out all of the cabinets, we were able to locate enough items for our needs. An added bonus was that, because the property was not rented for the day of our check-out, we were able to take our time that day and enjoy a whale-watching trip before we left. We are hoping to stay at this location again in the future and have already recommended it to friends!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Met my sister & her family there for Thanksgiving week. There were 5 adults, late in the week 2 more joined us. So grateful to Jean for providing family-friendly home and pet-friendly accommodations! Someone in our party used the hot tub daily. We walked to the beach a couple of times a day, Happy dog! Loved the location, quiet neighborhood. Everything worked (the downstairs shower was pressure challenged, but usable and that toilet is very noisy when flushed). Don't expect "like-new" but clean and comfortable. Basic supplies dependent upon prior guests - be prepared to supply what you need/want.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your feedback, I love hearing from my guests and howcharter they enjoyed their stay. I do feel now that I might need to clarify that I do have on hand th basics (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, propane, some spices for the kitchen, etc.) to get you started. I am so glad you and your family had such a great stay, I look forward to any future stays with you. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

We stayed five days at this home and enjoyed every minute of it. From our first morning, baking orange and cinnamon scones in the well-stocked kitchen, to our last night snuggling by the fire in the large living room enjoying a hot cup of tea.. After reading other reviews, it amused me to think that people actually go on vacation to watch TV,and their biggest concern were the remote controls! The home was exactly as I expected it to be. It was quiet, comfortable, and perfect. Our dogs enjoyed the time as much as we did. The home is close to the beach and just about anything else you care to do. My husband is a day trader, so of course, the lightning fast internet connection provided in the home was perfect (since he NEVER takes a real vacation! LOL) Jean was welcoming and accomodating to our needs. You can tell she has tried to create a home away from home for you to enjoy. She didn't list a coffee maker, so I brought mine just in case (as I would collapse without morning coffee..!) Not only did she have a coffee maker--she had three! I cook a lot, so I brought my mini-kitchen--there was no need. We hope to come back in the fall or winter.or as soon as we can. Thank you, Jean!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Touch of Class? I think not. We stayed last weekend Friday-Sunday. Upon our arrival to the house I see my father inlaw who is a handy man working with the owner on the garage door as it was broken. Would go up and down and not stay down fully closed. Not terribly great for a pet friendly house, the pets could just escape out of the garage. So we finally disengage the door from the chain and got the door close. As the owner walked him around the house giving him a tour we noticed that none of the remotes work for the TV’s or DVD players in any of the rooms. This fiasco took over an hour! We couldn’t begin our vacation while she was running around getting batteries and figuring out which remote is for what. Now granted, there ARE physical televisions in every room, doesn’t mean they work or hooked up to cable or satellite or even an antennae . The one in the queen bed room, down stairs doesn’t even turn on! The upstairs bedroom did not have a remote in order to work the TV as it is mounted on the wall. The main TV upstairs is junk, my guess it had a sign on it that said free on the side of the road. The convergence and picture quality is horrible. In my opinion this is total and complete false advertising. Another issue, for how expensive it is, you would think paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, and napkins would be supplied. We asked where these items were and the owner’s response was “sorry, I guess there aren’t any”. She DID NOT offer to get us any! The price for a night to stay here is WAY over priced. The house was not ready before we showed up, items were not working, and the owner had to clean the hot tub after we showed up! All in all I would NEVER ever recommend any of this owners properties and I haven’t even seen the others. If they are anything like this one you’ll be disappointed. We rent houses frequently and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. Not as advertised. We asked for a slight discount based on our initial problems and her answer was “no, give me a break”. That’s unacceptable business.Owner response: I do busines as follows I do allow guests to arrive early. I am usually on the premises with the cleaning lady pre pairing for the next guests. The new garage door is now completely installed. It works fine The dogs were no danger They had a fenced yard with stairs leading to the wrap around deck leading to the living room area. The dogs are allowed in the house with the family I I explained that the garage door could be closed with an extra click. The garage door was newly installed but needed more work. The large tv is a living room and remote is working fine

My husband and I spend a week in the house together with our 2 dogs end of August . Even though we only used a fraction of the house we had the best time. Dogs running on the beach every day , great trips to the Wine Country , Since the Kitchen was set up perfect we pretty much cooked every day after shopping at Giovanni's fish market in Morro Bay. Perfect set up for Happy Hour on the Balcony with a view of the Rock (some days ) ...lot's of fun Farmers Markets around and some awesome antique shopping.....we will definately consider doing this again.Recommended for: Pet owners.

We had 10 people in our party and rented the house for 4th of July weekend. We have enjoyed it a lot. House has spacious dining and living areas where we could gather. Deck has ocean view, which was very nice. House is very clean, no smell of dogs, etc. The most importantly beach that is two blocks from the house had great surfing waves and this is exactly why we came. We had a great vacation. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

About the owner: I own and operate 4 vacation rentals 3 in Morro Bay and one in Los Osos. They are all pet friendly offer 2 kayaks, BBQ, hot tub and wireless internet access. I meet with the guests upon arrival. I am a very active senior citizen who lives about 10 minutes away from each of my rentals. Call me if there is a question. Why the Owner Chose Morro Bay:
I was impressed with the fact that it is very close and easy access to a dog beach where owners can let their dogs run off leash on the beach. The large fenced yard opens to the garage and a wrap around deck. The ocean view and view of the story book street and grassy hills and trees beyond impressed me. It is a quiet lovely neighborhood.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Views. A large kitchen with plenty of pots and pan a side by side refrigerator extra large micro wave and a large table to serve guests. 2 glass chess sets to play chess. A tapestry on the wall and oil paintings seen when entering the house. 2 bean bag chairs that babies fit into and are content.
