OSPREY LANDING, located on Ono Island, a gated private community in Orange Beach, is a true vacation paradise. This spacious and comfortable Nantuket style waterfront home features a panoramic view of Bayou St. John, a private beach on the intercoastal waterway and a private boathouse with two boat slips, a bar, lots of seating, and a full size refrigerator. Electrical power is available for larger boats in a 16ft wide slip. This house is also a great place for weddings, receptions, family reunions and corporate retreats.
Osprey Landing is a two story home with 5 bedrooms and 5 full baths, and 1 half bath. This home has over 4,200 square feet of living space and over 1,200 square feet of screened outdoor space.
The Main Level of the home features a Living Room with Wet Bar, a Gourmet Kitchen with Large Pantry, a casual Dining Area, Laundry Room, Master Suite and Guest Suite. The Master Suite with King Bed has access to the upper balcony, a Luxurious Bath and a small Bonus Room with Daybed and Trundle(2 Twin Mattresses) great for small kids. The Guest Suite has a Queen Bed and Private Bath.
The Lower Level of the homes features a Living Room and small Kitchen with Full size Refrigerator and Dishwasher, a Laundry Room, and 3 Guest Suites. Each Guest Suite has a Full Bath. One bedroom has a King Bed, one has 2 Twin Beds, and one has a Queen Bed. The Lower Level also has a Screened Porch, 2 Car Garage and easy access to Main Level by interior stairs or elevator. All Bedrooms on Main Level and Lower Level have TV's, and DVD Players.
More and more, this home is being used by wedding parties, corporate retreats and family reunions. The open floor plan of the upstairs living area creates wonderful space for gathering of friends and family. Both lanai's are a natural transition from both living area, but the upstairs lanai has patio dining for 8 which can be expanded to 24. This still leaves plenty of inside seating arrangements.
The dock is an entirely additional living space. A refrigerator with small freezer(for your fish)
is conveniently located on the dock along with a small bar, built in bench, swing, adironack chairs and some very comfortable folding recliners. There are folding lounge chairs and other
light weight chairs available for the beach. We even have beach towels! Two sets of washers and dryers are available to support the laundry created from a week at the beach.
For the young ones: a pack and play folding bed,a high chair, trundle beds near the master are available which reduces transporting as much gear for the little ones. There are also small adironack chairs for them to use on the beach and some toys for the sand. If you let us know any special needs ahead of time, we will do our best to accomodate your family.
Osprey Landing is named for the osprey family, Lucy and Desi, who occupy a nest in the middle of
the wetland area. Where there are osprey, there are herons, pelicans, dolphin and fish among other species we are still learning about. No, we do not have alligators; they are at the
reserve.
At Osprey Landing, you can commune with your family and friends, you can commune with nature
and you can commune with God and remember all that we have to be thankful for. Then
with sufficient rest and recovery from the world, there is plenty of shopping, dining,
and entertainment by boat or by car.

We have stayed at Osprey Landing several times now and have enjoyed each visit. The house is spacious, and beautifully decorated. The view is peaceful and the private beach is great. We plan on coming back for years to come!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have had our family vacations on the Gulf Coast for the past 15-16 years, including a stay at another Ono Island property. From the oldest to the youngest, all said that Osprey Landing was the best place we have ever stayed. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated home with space for everybody, when we wanted to escape too much "togetherness". We enjoyed the dock, fishing, watching the dolphins, walking in the area, watching the tugboats pushing the barges by...the quiet moments, etc. When we could tear ourselves away, there were several nice restaurants and activities nearby of interest to the children. We would highly recommend Osprey Landing to friends and family! The lady representing the property owners had a smile in her voice; she was so pleasant and helpful. What a great vacation! We want to come back!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Our entire clan had a fabulous week at beautiful Osprey Landing. Fourteen of us spent seven days fishing, crabbing, sailing, kayaking, boating, skiing, kneeboarding, and tubing the waters of Old River. We enjoyed sun-bathing on the white sands of the private beach. Some of us liked sitting on the spacious porches watching the dolphins frolic in the water while osprey swooped and screeched overhead. At night we enjoyed the luxury of the clean, spacious and well-appointed home. This is our second year at Osprey Landing -- in all likelihood, we will enjoy a third year there. A great vacation home!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Osprey Landing was the perfect spot for my family to have a fun and relaxing vacation. We made so many memories on the dock and on the beach. It was a safe place for my three small children to be able to run and play. We had plenty of room for everyone. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking to spend a week in luxury.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a great house for a large group. Having a mini kitchen and laundry room downstairs was perfect for our group. The house is well stocked with towels and the kitchen and bar area have everything one could ask for. We used the boat house for fishing, boating, and swimming and loved watching the ospreys in their nest. I would highly recommend this house for a vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home was just as the listing description reflected. The property was very clean and had little extras that were really nice such as toilet paper, tissues, shampoo, and a lot of serving trays. The house has enough room to fit 13 comfortably...never on top of each other! The neighborhood was great. I only have 2 complaints about the home and that is the gate keepers had a rough time keeping up with our guests and getting it right. They need a better system of "finding" the guest list for the appropriate homes. And the other thing was the directions to get to the home were hard to follow because 2 roads were not marked on the street names.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Ono Island security is working hard to keep the island safe and secure for homeowners and guests. They are implementing a new system to help keep track of who comes onto the island and I hope this helps with allowing access to guests. Beautifully decorated home looking out over the water. Plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely recommend to friends or relatives. Manager was very helpful. Property was very clean--nice linens. We had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and worked out perfectly being big enough to handle the family & friends we had coming and going due to our wedding. We had a great time this past week on Ono Island and this house did not let us down. It certainly lived up to the description. Our only complaint was that there is only one oven. We cooked every night and could have used the additional oven. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. We loved the pier! The adults hung out there every night. What a treat. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Osprey Landing is owned by B.Whitehead and D.Powell who are business partners in the health care industry. Real estate development has been an interest of each owner. They designed and built their offices,a home on Ono and four homes in the Communities of St. Joe in the Highway 30 A area of Northwest, Fl. When part of I-10 was destroyed in 2004, they considered coming back to Ono which was missed by their families, friends and themselves. When they found this home designed and built by Jeff Barnes, they knew they were home, AGAIN.

Osprey Landing is located on Ono Island which offers privacy in a beautiful natural serene
setting which can be enjoyed by boat, by foot and bicycle and the car, if necessary. The island has a low population density so it is a wonderful retreat.

the view over the wetlands and watching
the sunrise as we sip coffee on the lanai;
the sunset when we are tasting wine while sitting on the dock;
the osprey as they build their nest, feed their young and teach them to fly;
and the dolphins as they dance around the pier.

Wolf Bay Lodge at Zeke's Landing for fried Shrimp;
Sunset Grill for grouper sandwiches and gas;
Shuckers for raw oysters;
Wharf for shopping and looking at the BIG boats;
Cobalt for the view and a cold one;
LuLu's for fried okra;
Tacky Jacks for omelets;
and sitting in the boat in the middle of a pod of dolphin as they feed.
When not enjoying the natural amenities or just relaxing, we spend time at the private club with a fitness center, indoor pool, outdoor pool and well kept tennis and basketball courts.
We enjoy having groups and special events. We look forward to a great nephews wedding and having the after rehearsal dinner here at the house. We have rented a neighbors home to accomodate
part of the guests for the small wedding.
