This home is called “Councilrock” and is located in the hills of Deer Valley overlooking Main St and Town below. It has outstanding views and positioning and was built in a “Frank Lloyd Wright” style of architecture. It is available this year for limited periods as a rental.
It has state-of-the-art media systems, fabulous entertaining spaces both indoors and out, ipod music hookups with xm built in as well, grand ceilings and picturesque windows and an ancient art collection behind glass throughout the home. It has an expansive wet bar and food prep area on the lower level as well as many other group oriented amenities.
This rental is not geared toward a large number of people but ideally for a group of 12 or less. There are 3 King bedrooms and one double bedroom with two full-size beds, and then an attached apartment with a queen bed and a full day bed. All bedrooms have en-suite Bathrooms with separate water closets and oversized showers. Three bedrooms have separate soaking tubs. If desired, accommodations can be made for up to four additional people in the Fitness Room that can double as a bunk room using rollaway beds; this area enjoys an immediately adjacent spa with 4-person steam shower and 4-person sauna plus en suite bathroom. So the home can sleep a maximum of 12 in beds currently.
The lower level has a ceiling height of over 11 feet with three walkouts to patio areas with fireplaces indoors and outdoors. The main level has ceiling heights up to 18 feet with three indoor fireplaces and one outdoor fireplace on the large deck.
This home is really magnificent and is perfect for easy access to Town and the mountains, about the same in distance.. about 4 minutes or so.

This house is 8,000 sq. ft. and very private. We pride ourselves in selection of the highest quality details, finishes and location. The house is on 4 acres which are contiguous with open space. The time it takes to travel by car from Councilrock to Deer Valley Resort is 3 minutes. Time to Old Town is 5 minutes. Hiking trails are adjacent to property. When building this masterpiece, we felt it was more important to have quality in all rooms as opposed to having the ability to accommodate large numbers in many bedrooms. The style is Mountain Contemporary with rustic natural materials. Use of beams from the old Salt Lake City trestle; Wyoming Moss Stone that starts on the exterior and is brought inside and on throughout the house and for all 7 fireplaces; cross-cut oak floors; reclaimed wood in ceilings are just a few of the elements. Evoking the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture with 180 degree mountain views and privacy, this house is complete with camera monitoring for safety and security.

We have recently finished this private home in Lower Deer Valley. As empty nesters, my husband and I look forward to family gatherings in this beautiful location with our grown children and their future wives and children to come. This is a place of utter beauty and privacy - and, as full-time residents of a major city, we truly value this aspect. This house was built with luxury and service in mind. The property also has a separate apartment with private entry and garage for the House Manager who will provide concierge service and attend to houseguest needs if desired. If you prefer to bring your own household help (cook or nanny), this apartment can be made available in lieu of concierge service.
