Beautiful restored 1800's farm house on 2 acres surrounded by mountains and streams. Recently renovated,large bright and airy rooms, with views, refinished original hard wood floors, one and a half miles from Woodstock, sleeps 14. This house is ideal for family and friends get togethers. Closing 1 door can give adults a break from children enjoying themselves. (See comments in guest book below)
There is an air hockey table, Play Station 2, bicycle, 6 beautiful bedrooms, 2 living rooms with fireplaces, fully-equipped modern kitchen, and 2 full baths. No street lights and three porches to enjoy the stars by night, and the trees and mountains with their scent of freshness and deer running around by day.

Cold clean mountain water comes out from the well. Excellent Smoke-free, Pet-free accommodation for family and friends. We welcome children. SKIERS!We are half an hour from Hunter and Belayre Mts. After the fun of skiing enjoy Woodstock's night life at the Colony Cafe.
Kingston 8 miles away on the Hudson River is the 1st capital of New York. West Hurley(6 miles) has wonderful old houses and Saugerties 10 miles away has become a popular antique center.
This whole area is very scenic. It is in the middle of the 300,000 acre Catskill forest with streams running through mountains and past tall trees. In the Summer time it is best described as 'Paradise On Earth'

The house was great, even for a large group... plenty of bedrooms, foutons and couches to accomodate everyone, as well as two tables for eating. The center of town is only a five minutes drive away but the house is not itself located in a busy tourist area...very quiet! this house is very comfortable and very central location. it is a bit close to the road, so young kids need to be watched, but there are some trees out back which our children had fun exploring. the house is two hundred years old so it is "quaint" in its way, but mostly updated and the a/c, showers, kitchen were all good. and the owner was good to deal with.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
