From the moment you enter the leaded, beveled glass door and step onto the travertine tile floors you will sense the combination of luxury and comfort. The large living room is tastefully furnished with glass and stone tables, contemporary lighting and has a beautiful marble fireplace. Large sliding doors exit onto a covered patio containing an exquisite dining set for a romantic dinner or cocktails on those warm evenings. From the living room you will enter the dining room which features plantation shutters and a modern glass and iron table and chairs. The large, eat-in kitchen is a true chef's delight, with granite counter tops, storage space galore, stainless steel Dacor cooktop, Viking double ovens and an oversized sub-zero refrigerator. A sliding glass door opens to the patio and pool area.
The home has three bedrooms and three baths. The master bedroom is huge and features a California king bed, two nightstands, double dresser with mirror and armoire. The master suite also has a walk-in closet with built ins and a granite top. All bedrooms have gorgeous Berber carpeting and all bathrooms have been newly remodeled with tumbled marble countertops, showers and tub-surrounds. Two of the baths have jacuzzi tubs also.
The back of the house has a large pool, mature olive tree and gorgeous mountain views. It is directly adjacent to the Shadow Mountain Golf and Tennis Club. The property is located just two blocks south (the preferred direction) of El Paseo - the exclusive shopping area in the desert. It is within walking distance of many fine restaurants and galleries and a two minute drive to the Living Desert - a zoo/wildlife preserve.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
The home is gorgeous and is one that I, myself, would be happy living in. The area is the best in the desert, as it is half-way between La Quinta and Palm Springs and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and galleries. It simply could not be a better location.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is more than just comfortable and luxurious - it is truly a home. The location could not be better. Despite the fact that it is near shopping, hiking, etc., it is on a very quiet street. I love walking my dog along the street and up to El Paseo. I love shopping in the unique stores on El Paseo and dining in the various restaurants that are close by.
