This bright, sunny home is situated directly on the Esopus Creek, perfect for swimming and kayack launch,
directly across from the Esopus Conservancy on a quiet country road. We are good dog friendly .

300 yard wide Esopus with view of the wonderful Esopus conservancy.

Easy outdoor entertaining with gas BBQ grill. The Esopus Creek is perfect for swimming, fishing including large mouth trophy bass
and and kayaking. Rented kayaks can be delivered to our deck. We are one mile to the Village of Saugerties
listed as one of the coolest small towns in America with great shops, restaurants and recreational facilities-softball,
soccer fields and a large indoor ice skating rink.
We are 10 minutes to Woodstock also with great shops, restaurants on galleries.
Your vacation can be as quiet (read on the deck or in front of the fireplace) or active-boating, swimming, ice skating or hiking right outside your door.
Annual events include Kayak Festival, HITS Equestrian shows, Woodstock Film Festival, Woodstock Writers Festival, Garlic Festival, Woodstock and
Saugerties Farmers market, Woodstock Flea market (voted one of the best in the country)
You can explore the waterfalls that made the Catskills famous in art and literature 15 minutes away.

Four of us just stayed at this place in Saugerties, and it was perfect! We were even able to bring my dog, who loved the sunshine on the deck and the peaceful walks around the area. This house is right on the river with no houses across the way, and the deck out back is ideal for morning coffee and general relaxing. We also had some less than sunny days, so the little fireplace inside was great when the weather wasn't on our side. Steve made the reservation so easy and as a bonus everyone in Saugerties is so friendly with great recommendations on how to enjoy the area! We had a great time and couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy our city escape.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here...The house was away from town just far enough to enjoy the creek setting, but close enough to run in for a quick shopping trip or a nice restaurant meal. We even could've walked or ridden bikes, if so inclined. The drive into Woodstock was a daily occurrence with the film festival, music and art shops, fine dining, etc. We also enjoyed ventures deep into the Catskills, as well as climbing Overlook Mountain...The time spent at Opus 40 was quite enjoyable and fascinating, too. The house was very clean and cozy, and stocked with many 'essentials', to at least get you through the first day...Highly recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We couldn't have hoped for a more lovely and relaxing getaway. The house was not only comfortable and conveniently located on the water, it was also spotless and very well maintained. Great location for visiting Woodstock. Headed up to Cooperstown to see to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. About the owner: We are the owners of Woodstock Design-a woman's clothing store. I always dreamed of having a waterfront home. Even though i lived in Woodstock , i wanted a weekend getaway that was not too far. The first place the real estate agent showed me felt like this was it, a large deck overlooking the beautiful Esopus Creek, two bedrooms, a kitchen-dinning room, and a living room all opened to to water views, just 15 minutes from downtown Woodstock. My daughter. Daisy Bolle was a fashion stylist in LA and she was used to going to luxurious hotels on shoots. She told us about VRBO and what we would need to do to be the best, king size bed in the master bedroom, with beautiful soft linens, large screen flat TV, wi-fi internet, upgrade the kitchen with new appliances, Daisy and her husband Van took control of the remodeling and loved it so much they moved in for a year. Now they have their own home on the Creek and their own store Dig in Saugerties and we are again offering our place for vacation rental.
