Wonderful Designer Flat at Spanish Steps
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps)
This flat should be my Rome's home, at few steps from my gallery and from Spanish Steps, only a few months ago I decided to move to another large apartment and to rent this beautiful house.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
This gorgeous apartment is ideally located in the heart of the Eternal city: Via del Babuino, one of the most classy streets of the historical center of Rome, a few steps away from the Spanish Steps, Via Condotti and Via Frattina, the top spot for made in Italy shopper addicts, filled with luxury boutiques but still close to the peaceful and enchanting Villa Borghese park. This luxury apartment is located on the first floor of a patrician building.
Owner's Map of Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps)
I'm an art expert and my Art Gallery is only 200 mts. from the flat, in the historic-art-street on via Margutta in Rome; the Gallery recreates an authentic cultural activity by organizing important shows and wide retrospectives of Italian artists of the second post-war period like Giulio Turcato, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Mario Ceroli, Claudio Cintoli. I continue the research of the Italian masters, together with the new protagonists of the Italian contemporary art.

It was our first visit for my wife and I to Rome, it was everything we expected and more. Nicola arranged our pickup from the airport, when we arrived Nicola was waiting for us at the flat showed us around and was there for our every needs, the flat was just like the pictures on the web site, centrally located, spacious, clean and well equipped. The market was steps away as were all attractions within walking distance. We were able to cook breakfast and most dinners at the flat saving a big expense. The only complaint was the noise in the early morning, but we were up early and on our way to see all the sites Rome has to offer. My wife and I would highly recommend this flat to anyone visiting Rome. Thank You for providing us with a very comfortable place to stay and an experience of a lifetime. we will definitly be back.

Spent 4 days at Babuino flat last May and could not have been happier! The apartment is perfectly located , well appointed, spotlessly clean - we loved the white living room, the kitchenette, and the bedroom as described previously, is large, comfortable and delightfully dark in the morning. Only problem was early morning street cleaning noise but we adapted and learned to appreciate waking up early with the locals! All of the major sights are easily walked to from this location and we loved the nearby markets for fresh produce. Nicola the manager was wonderful and met us on our arrival. We look forward to returning to this wonderful apartment soon!.

We spent Easter in Rome with our two daughters of 8 and 10 and stayed in the Babuino flat. The flat was very comfortable and tastefully furnished and also had a very central location. We visited most of the tourist attractions in Rome on foot, despite that our two girls are not too fond of walking long distances. It was a pleasure to return to the flat and relax a little, have a nice glass of wine and cook a meal there. A bonus was the nearby supermarket, just across the road. Also, the wifi connection was appreciated, allowing our daughters to watch their favourite television programmes on our iPad. We would thoroughly recommend staying at the Babuino flat when visiting beautiful Rome!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Babuino flat during a 1-week visit to Rome. We had a great time and couldn't be happier with the accommodations. The apartment is centrally located, we got around on the Metro VERY easily, as the Spagna stop is a 1-minute walk from the apartment. At night after sightseeing, it's nice to walk up to Piazza del Popolo and down the Via del Corso, there's lots of people activity and great little places to eat. There is street noise, however, but we were able to sleep through it. The bedroom is super dark in the morning so you can definitely sleep in late if you like. We would certainly stay here on a return trip to Rome.
Owner response:Thankyou very much for your review. Please remember for any friends or family coming to Rome, they can have a Special Discount as "Preferred Guests". Thanks again and looking forward to meeting you in the future again in Rome. Sincerely Nicola

We stayed in the Babuino flat for a week in early December, and it was absolutely wonderful and EASY. I called Nicola, the manager, when we arrived in Rome, and she met us at the flat on our arrival. She is British, so there's no language issue. The flat is exactly as described: a great size, very clean and all white. The bedroom is so dark at night and you can sleep forever! Great sized living room, lovely kitchenette and steam shower (there's no curtain/door between the glass shower and living room, which is fine for a couple, but might be less ideal for friends sharing the flat). The flat is on the first floor (not ground floor) which is very nice for carrying up your bags and coming in and out every day, but the street can get very noisy at night (trash pickups, street cleaning, etc.), even with the windows closed. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect, in a FABULOUS location, less than a minute walk to the Piazza di Spagna, and 5 minutes to the Piazza del Popolo. I would definitely stay there again, as soon as I can go back to Rome!
Owner response:Thankyou for your note and for having chosen our flat in Rome and I hope you had a safe trip back home. For any friends or family coming to Rome, they can have a Special Discount as "Preferred Guests", you can give them this email address. Thanks again and looking forward to meeting you in the future again in Rome. Kind Regards Mauro & Nicola Update September 2011 - just to say that following guest comments we have mounted a light curtain between the living area and the shower room, so there is now more privacy for people taking a shower!

My family of three stayed in the Bobuino flat from May 5 – 12. We loved this apartment. It’s exactly as you see it on the pics. It’s very clean with modern interior and nice people who own this apartment. Nicole was so helpful. We had a lot of luggage since our daughter was studying abroad in Florence and we were picking her up. I’ve contacted Nicole and ask her about transportation arrangements from the train station to the apartment. She arranged the pick up for us as well as transportation to the airport later. Also, we found very helpful information in the apartment that Nicole put together for the tourists. You can find everything you can need in the apartment – dishes, iron, linings, towels, etc. The flat locates close to everything and easy to walk to. If you are not into walking the metro station is right here – 100 m as well as the taxi. A lot of restaurants around, famous stores, you feel safe on the streets even at night. The market store is very close to the apartment also and we took the advantage of it and had our breakfast at home. This is great apartment at the great location. Yes, you can hear the street noise but it didn’t bother us. We greatly recommend this apartment.

My husband, adult daughter and I stayed in the flat from December 20 - 27 and it was a great experience. Nicola was most welcoming and I appreciated the information available in the flat about Rome. It is so well-located that we walked everywhere - lots of restaurants, gourmet food stores, shops, museums, etc. within easy walking distance. The flat is nicely appointed with a lovely new kitchen - even if we couldn't ever figure out how to turn on the stove - and we enjoyed having breakfast at home each morning and wine and cheese at night. We even ventured out to the English language movie theatre near the Piazza del Popolo on Christmas night to join all the Italians seeing Sherlock Holmes. The only drawback is that there is a significant amount of street noise that you can hear in the apartment, regardless of whether the windows are open or closed - it's the tradeoff of being on such a busy street but such a great location. The description of the property is everything they say it is. We wandered by the Spanish Steps every evening after dinner and strolled down the Via Margutta (Roman Holiday and one block behind the apartment) every morning. But the real perk is the fine people who own the apartment. Nicola and Giuseppe were very helpful and legitimately interested in making our stay comfortable and entertaining. They also had some great contacts that really helped to make this trip an experience. You should ask them to put you in contact with Ruza, an acquaintance of theirs who is a fantastic tour guide. We will definitely be staying with them again. Dirk Van Veen Fayetteville, AR USA

I and a friend stayed at this flat from October10, 2009 thru October 18th. Nicola and Guiseppe were a great help to our trip. They helped us with a great tour guide and arranged for transportation to the airport on our departure. The flat was very clean with a brand new kitchen. I would consider this a spacious flat for 2. The location was absolutely wonderful and walking distance to anything you desire and there was a small supermarket about 30 meters from the flat. I would recommend this flat to anyone and Nicola and Guiseppe were more than helpful. The only downside is Babuino gets to be loud in the morning since the flat overlooks the street, but the poeple watching from the window more than makes up for the noise.
