We are originally from French-speaking Quebec-Canada, have spent the last three years looking for the right place and opportunity to open a B&B. We first came in the Virginian Blue Ridge Mountains while vacationing in May ’09. The beautiful scenic environment, the warm welcoming of the people living in the Rockfish Valley and, obviously, the bucolic pleasure of the Wine Trail made us immediately fall in love with the area.

Weekend in the mountains

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was in close proximity to several wineries and breweries, including Flying Fox Vineyard which is right next door! The privacy was spectacular; the atmosphere was very tranquil and therapeutic. Upon arrival, we were given a basket of goodies for the weekend, including various cheeses, organic milk, eggs, and cookies. Danielle also prepared some baklava that weekend and shared it with us. It was delicious! We definitely plan to visit again. It was just what we needed to decompress from the stresses of everyday life :)
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
