Location: Paris Arrondissement 2, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe (3 blocks from Louvre; 3 blocks from Palais Royale)
Accommodations: Condominium, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
This delightful, two-room apartment is located near the Louvre, just off Rue du Louvre and Rue Etienne Marcel. It has recently received a major face lift.
This unique, historical apartment was part of the home of the Countess DuBarry who was the official mistress of Louis XV. The apartment is in what was her living room. Now there are two rooms which each provide separate sleeping facilities, ideal for two couples who want privacy.
This is the elegant right bank of Paris. Place Des Victoires, with all its designer shops, is only one block away. The food quarter of Rue Montorgueil is just a block away. You can walk to nearly two-thirds of Paris attractions.
There is an entrance room with table, chairs, and a trundle bed which will make two, full-size, single beds. Off this room are the bathroom, and the galley-type, full kitchen. Then, one enters the Chambre with its stone walls. The Chambre is a combination living room and master bedroom.
Cable TV keeps you in touch with home with CNN.
We have a telephone installed for local calls. International calls can be made from this phone with a prepaid phone card purchased from Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco. You can, of course, receive direct paid calls from the USA. Collect calls will not go through.
This charming two room apartment is located just 1 minute walk from another of our two room apartments, the "Paris Artist Loft near Louvre" which is advertised on this VRBO site. This nearness is perfect for friends travelling together who want separate by nearby accommodations.
