This roomy beach house is named "ABUNDANCE" for a number of reasons. It provides an abundance of rest and relaxation opportunities. Just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, it overlooks the beach and provides a great ocean view. Very nearby are dozens of dining opportunities with all kinds cuisine from traditional American, local seafood, Thai, Mexican, and Chinese all in their own special setting and many on the water front. Grocery stores are less than 5 minutes away and Historical Southport is less than 10 minutes with all its waterfront shopping and distinctions: (such as the first city to celebrate the 4th of July).
The property has trees and a lawn and a wonderful roomy outside shower that makes you never want to bathe inside again.

Why the Owner Chose Oak Island
Oak Island is the perfect family vacation place. It is quiet and low key but has a great variety of restaurants and recreational activities. We chose the area of the island which has maintained a broad beach and very minimal commercial growth.
The Unique Benefits at this Beach House
You can sit on the deck and look at the ocean all day. The giant porch swing in the shade is wonderful for relaxing and napping as is the hammock below. Visits to historical Southport and Wilmington are minutes away as well as Myrtle Beach. Taking the ferry to Fort Fisher and the NC Aquarium is a memory maker along with finding sand dollars in the surf at sunset. Fishing in the surf, in the sound, on the pier or from a charter boat are all available.

We love the beach house at Oak Island. It has been our favorite family vacation spot for many years. Sitting on the back deck with a clear view of almost 300 feet of ocean is really special. Watching the surf and swimmers and fishing boats is entertaining and spotting the occasional dolphin is always a treat. Our guestbook is filled with testimonies of folks who rave about how comfortable the house was and how they definitely plan to return. Many return year after year. Please join them while there are still some open weeks not taken.
