Location: Copper One, Copper Mountain, Northwest, Colorado, USA (1 1/2 Hours by Interstate from Denver International Airport)
Accommodations: Condominium, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)
We invite and welcome you to enjoy our privately owned Rocky Mountain getaway! Our Copper One Lodge unit provides beautiful direct views of the Ten Mile Range. While standing on the balcony, as you turn to the right, you’ll look down on the Burning Stones plaza which is the center of the village as well as the American Eagle ski lift.
The gold rated Copper One Lodge is the closest residential building to the two ski lifts in the Center Village. Ski in to within 75 feet of the lobby entrance and when skiing out, the American Eagle lift is only a short 125 foot walk from the same entrance. At the heart of the Center Village, Copper One Lodge is walking distance to all of the many restaurants, pubs and shops in the village including direct indoor access from the second floor to Jack’s Slopeside Grill and Bar. Given its proximity to the lifts and perfectly placed secure ski locker access in the building lobby, it’s effortless to take a quick break from the cold and then get right back on the mountain for the next set of runs!
The building contains laundry facilities, wireless internet through Wayport Communications, secure underground heated parking for lodging guests only, a steam room, an outdoor whirlpool hot tub and a cardio exercise room. Once you park, you won’t need your car again unless you decide to venture into the town of Frisco, a short ten minute drive away.
Our fourth floor unit is approximately 870 square feet with two bedrooms containing queen sized beds, two full baths including a private bath in the master bedroom, and plenty of couch space and seating to relax on in between runs or when entertaining after a great day of skiing and boarding. The appliances were replaced in 2008 and in addition to a built in ice maker and filtered water dispenser in the refrigerator, the kitchen offers all of the utensils and cooking supplies you would expect to find in the home of someone who likes to cook as we do. Relax in front of the fire with a glass of wine or cold beer and watch TV on the recently installed high-definition LCD flat screen TV or venture out to the balcony to catch fireworks or a top-down view of the street performers and concerts as they occur.
Copper Mountain is primarily known as a fantastic family oriented ski destination and Intrawest resort that offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. That’s just half of the season though. We really enjoy the mountain in the summer and particularly the hiking and biking (both mountain and road). There’s fishing in the river that runs through the village and the Pete Dye designed golf course which is the highest championship golf course in North America. Younger visitors will enjoy the climbing wall, bumper boats, miniature golf, play structures, the indoor swimming pool at the athletic club, Camp Woodward and the go-kart track.
Copper Mountain is a dog friendly resort and we bring our dogs up regularly. We are happy to accommodate pets but require prior notification that you would like to bring your furry family member along. Our home is also a non-smoking residence. Come be our guest and fall in love with this terrific mountain, just as we and our other friends have!

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2006
We are pleased to introduce ourselves as Melissa and John Bissett. We met while scuba diving in Honduras, did the long distance relationship thing for a while (Melissa lived in Minneapolis, MN) and then married in March of 2009. From the start of our relationship, we’ve taken full advantage of all of the benefits that having a place at Copper Mountain allows us. We enjoy pretty much anything and everything having to do with the outdoors including downhill skiing, scuba diving, hiking, both mountain and road biking as well as canoeing, kayaking and going for rides on our Harley (which Melissa is learning to hate less and less each time). My passion is water skiing and Melissa’s passion is cross country skiing (which I’m learning to hate less and less every year). We enjoy sharing our lives and our activities with our numerous close friends but Melissa is truly my best friend. While we don’t have any kids, we have a dog named Ebony and two tabby cats named Mick and Keith that are our constant companions.
Why the Owner Chose Copper One
I moved to Colorado from California in 2001 and over the next three years, skied at most of the ski resorts along the Front Range. I kept coming back to Copper Mountain though. In January 2006, while relaxing at the Storm King Lounge in the Center Village, I realized that the mountain felt “more like home” than any other place I’d been to. As luck would have it, there was a unit available in the closest building to the lifts, with a great view and great access to everything. I was sold! Melissa’s first trip to the resort was to go mountain biking with me in 2007 on our first “power date”. She enjoyed the quality of the mountain biking trails and the ability to relax at Endo’s Bar and Grill after biking and sip on a cold margarita while watching the world go by. Those memories still live vividly in both of our minds. As a skier, I believe that the mountain is perfectly set up to accommodate all levels of skiers and is organized in a manner where very few expert runs intersect with beginner runs, affording the experts the opportunity to enjoy their day without scaring the beginners to death as they whiz by. The beginner terrain is an excellent learning environment with enough lifts to be challenging to beginning skiers through advanced beginners without being overwhelming. And as a skier’s abilities improve, the intermediate terrain provides a smooth transition from the beginner terrain.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
We absolutely believe that Copper One is the best located building in the resort. There isn’t another building that offers closer access to the lifts and all of the amenities, shops and restaurants within the center village. We personally like that our unit is just steps to the elevator and also has a tremendous view of the Ten Mile Range and the Burning Stones Plaza at the center of the village.
