1184 Beachwalker is a privately owned oceanfront condo. It features two decks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and two bedrooms that do likewise. The decks are independent of the bedrooms, so, go have your morning coffee and don't worry about who else you might wake!
The condo resides in a two-story building with only seven other similar units so it is very private and quiet. It is accessed from its own parking area for easy move-in and there are no elevator waits to enter or leave. The beach is about 150 feet down a wooden walkway. This is perfect for small children or adults who love the beach but do not want to traverse long distances to get there or come back. All rooms are spacious and feature large picture windows. The living and dining rooms have full expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean.
With one king, one queen, one twin bedroom, and one fold-out day bedroom this condo offers many options for family or friend getaways. The three full bathrooms adequately support the 8-person occupancy. A full kitchen and laundry room provide support for longer vacations or temporary work assignments.

When you go on vacation, you go to have a great time with your friends or family. I can personally attest to the family atmosphere of our home at Amelia Island Plantation and our children recognize it as a magical place even now when they are young adults. I have always enjoyed outdoor activities and they are in abundance all around us. But, one of the first things that attracted me to the plantation was activities for small pre-school children. They can be either informal excursions with the parents or more formal activities with one of the plantation guides. So, there is no better place to share ocean sunrises, marsh, and leisure outdoor activities with your friends or with your own family. Oh, and did I forget to mention the stars? They are just spectacular on clear evenings from our top deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean!!
Why the Owner Chose Amelia Island Plantation
One day I picked up Golf Digest and saw an advertisement for Amelia Island Plantation. I decided to visit and found the advertisement quite accurate in terms of golf amenities. There was, however, so much more to this place in terms of natural beauty, things to do, proximity to the airport, proximity to the historic southern town of Fernandina Beach, that I decided to invest in a rental condo. I have never been disappointed in my decision because our property is both easily accessible and central to many fun things to do.
The Unique Benefits of this Oceanfront Condo
There are about 20 miles of shaded bike/walking paths on Amelia Island Plantation. Most are shaded by southern oaks that date back over 100 years. There is a sunken forest and Indian burial grounds that are accessible by bikes as are the children play areas. There is kayaking and jet skiing available in very short driving distance and there is the good old barbecue on the dunes overlooking the beach if you don't want to stray too far from the condo. We have the benefit of a short walk to the beach that requires no elevators to get you there. The overall benefit of this condo is that it can be enjoyed by people of all ages and for long or short time periods.
