This 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom, 3 story, grand 5500 square foot full log home in Upper Moonridge backs directly to the National Forest. You can literally open the back door and have Big Bear's best sledding and snow fun right in your own backyard! There are breathtaking hiking trails and the tranquility of the woods right at your fingertips. Shasta Pines Lodge is half a mile from Bear Mountain Ski Resort and a 5-7 minute drive into the village for all the dining and shopping you need. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and very private.
The home boasts a 35 foot great room with oversized fireplace with a 58" plasma TV above it, sumptuous leather furniture, incredible vaulted ceilings with wall of windows overlooking the forest! There is a formal dining room, loft with massive couch and 52" HDTV, game room with pool table, fireplace and games.
Full gourmet kitchen with walk-in pantry and massive lodgepole pine bar/seating area. Sauna, rain shower, library with fireplace, DVD players and so much more. BBQ and horseshoe pit, 3 decks with views of the forest. Amazing but has every comfort and convenience of your own home. The 5 bedrooms have 3 with queen beds, 1 with a double bed and 1 with two twins.
Extra sleeping downstairs in the game room (1 queen bed, 1 twin). Bedding and towels provided. This is a wonderful family home, great for 2 or 3 families to share...lovingly furnished in mountain cabin decor.

We love the house because we have a BIG extended family...this home can easily accommodate all of us without feeling like we are all packed in. The home is FULL log, which means that it is actually built with logs not drywall. When you walk in, the smell of cedar wood is everywhere!
