We spent unforgettable 8 days in Sapphire Beach in August 2008. Everything was just the way Jen and Rich described in their very helpful letter with answers to any possible question about the island, resort , condo, food, transportation etc.. Condo was very clean, kitchen well equipped. We also had towels changed and garbage taken out by the cleaning service every day, and during our 8 night stay, they changed linen once as well. The view from the unit is by far the best! Location of the D building is also great, since the pool is right in front of it, and part of the Sapphire Beach as well. Red Hook is very close, for dining, food shopping, ferry to St. John ( which is by the way a must!). We went to Charlotte Amalie a lot too ( since we had a car rental during our entire stay), enjoyed walks through the passages, and narrow streets. Our daughters ( 10 and 7) loved everything about this vacation. We have a picture that we took from the condo's balcony ( view of St. John and BVI ) that is our screen saver now, and we just look at it and transfer ourselves to the paradise. I can still smell the ocean, and hear the waves, that's what woke us up every morning there. It was really relaxing, and private ( we were there off season, there were times when we were the only guests at the pool and the beach for hours ). Hope everybody finds this review helpful, and enjoys their stay at Sapphire Beach! You won't regret it! We can't wait to go back!

We loved our stay here, and would gladly return to the same unit. It was an incredible location and an incredible value. That's why I give it 5 stars--- a high price would have earned fewer stars. We never met "Sam", but he returned my calls promptly. The photos on the site are mostly accurate, with the exception of the lanai: It has 2 lounge chairs and 2 mis-matched plastic chairs, and a very small unusable table that has evidently been broken several months. A place to dine out there would have been nice, without having to lug the kitchen furniture outside. Regardless, we spent many hours there enjoying the fantastic view. The unit's interior is clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with basic supplies. (Curious, though, that the old broken microwave was not removed when the new (old) microwave was added.) We loved sleeping with the patio doors open to listen to the ocean all night. Note that even with the privacy wall closed, any sofa-sleeper guests must pass your bed to access the bathroom. The condo complex needs a lot of exterior maintenance due to the tropical climate, but it's kept clean. The pool area is very nice, and the beach is fantastic. Even during high season, we never felt crowded. We didn't try the snack bar at the resort, and the restaurant and pool bar are still shuttered. The nearest bar/restaurant (with just ok pub food) is next door, around the marina. In Red Hook, our favorites were Fish Tails for sandwiches and Island Time Pub for pizza. My review doesn't sound so nice as I look back, but it's really a great place, and a great price. As I said, I'd return in a heartbeat---this is the best location that I saw on the island. Beautiful!

The condo itself has beautiful views and is in a great location on the island. The manager was very helpful and friendly. The listing was accurate. The condo layout is great not to big and right on the beach... As a couple it will be amazing place to stay. We however stayed with a 13 year old boy and made for some difficult alone time as the room dividers block off access to the bathroom. The property was clean and well maintained for the most part, the few little issues we had I talked to the condo owner about and she will be making sure they are taken care of. The owner is great, very helpful with information on the island and any additional information you may want to know. She always got back to me very quickly. We went on the Breakaway boat tour of the British Virigin islands and they were great. A highly recommended trip. We were going to go to Coral World but found out if you go to Coki Beach that you can snorkle and see everything Coral world has. Highly Recommended

My husband and I just got back from the most peaceful last minute planned vacation we have ever had. We had a great time, Jen was so helpful in getting our last minute plans(info) together. It is just like the pictures; kitchen, equipped, towels provided etc. views are beautiful and peaceful. I loved hearing and seeing the ocean right outside of our balcony. We enjoyed seeing the sailboats go by while enjoying our meals. Sam was so helpful in our stay as well. We are looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Jen :)

My husband and I just got back and we had a great time. Room looked just like the pictures. We had a perfect view of the ocean. Jen sent me some info. on all the great places to go which helped alot. I think Sapphire Beach is the best place in all of St. Thomas. I've stayed in other places and this was my favorite. So close to Red Hook where there are bars and food so you really don't need to go anywhere else! Thanks Jen!

All i have to say is what an amazing 50th birthday. The condo was amazing the resort first class, with jet sking parasailing and snokeling within a minutes walk. Theres a resturant at the top of the hill where the owner stayed open for me and my kids to celebrate my birthday and the cab/truck adventures to Red Hook were incredible..The people at all the markets were so nice and playful and the views spectacular...This is the place to be ..Thanks heather,Danny, meredith , TJ, and "the Joshua" for an amazing 50th birthday

My wife and I stayed at Jen's condo last December and had a great time. As noted in the feedback from others that stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort, it was a beautiful condo, with comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen, and most of all had a great view and access to the water. Every morning we woke up to a view of a palm tree and the sound of breaking surf and a soft breeze. Although the restaraunt and bar that are part of the resort property were closed at the time, there was a open air snack bar available for lunch or light dinner and other dining was only a 5 minute drive away. There were enough stores close by that adult refreshments were readily available. Jen's condo was very affordable compared to others in the area and we are looking forward to our next visit.

The condo and the resort were everything we could have asked for - my husband and I were extremely happy! We actually went to St. Thomas to get married (arrived on Wednesday, married on Friday, and headed home on Monday). It was perfect for us two and exactly the kind of vacation we were looking for. The condo has a beautiful view - nothing like rising early to see the sun rise over St. John. Located right by the pool and poo bar and also the beach. We had great interaction with the owner (Jennifer) through email and she provided us with a bunch of great information on things to do while we were there on vacation. If we needed help with anything, we only had to call Sam who was on location and he was right there and willing to help! We spent most of our time at the resort and would head into Red Hook for dinner. We did go to Charlotte Amalie and took a tour of the island on the safari bus which was rather interesting. We will definitely be back and staying in this same location - hopefully sooner rather than later!!

We had a great vacation. We have been to St. Thomas many times and have decided we like Saphire Beach the best. It has the most beautiful view of the islands anywhere. The unit was clean and well equipped for our two week stay. Snorkeling was great and we liked being only 1 mile from Red Hook. It was great to have someone on the island to contact for assistance. If we had any needs, Sam was there to help. He's probably the most pleasant man I've ever met. Thanks Jennifer! We will definately be back.
