We spent a week in NOLA exploring the French Quarter, eating the amazing food, and listening to great music! The condo matched our needs in every way; it was within walking distance of anything and everything you would want to see in the French Quarter and downtown. It was a quiet, quaint and safe place for us to disappear to when we were done exploring for the day. Bill was a great pleasure to work with and our emails and transactions went smoothly and without any hiccups. We had such a great time and we would definitely stay here again! Best Meal - The Red Bean & Rice with Smoked Sausage from Coop's on Monday Best Drink - The "real" Hurricane from Lafitte's Best Experience - Simply walking the streets of the French Quarter in the evening with the smell of blooming flowers in the air and the sound of distant music; absorbing the rich history surrounding us and imagining what it would have been like to walk the same streets in a different time...it was beyond romantic.

We just returned from a week in New Orleans prior to a cruise and can't say enough good things about Bill's place! Location being number one and security number two. This city is amazing and you really need at least a week to fully explore and mingle. The locals we met treated us so well and we will surely return to this fantastic city and hopefully this condo will be available. Our favorite haunts were the Three Muses on Frenchmen Street for late night dinner, Cafe Envie around the corner for breakfast and The Crescent City Brewhouse for great food (especially the fresh Oysters shucked by Sam) and beer! Bourbon Street is crazy but you are far enough removed from it at Bill's Place. Loved Royal Street shopping and hopping the street car to the Garden District. Thanks for the hospitality New Orleans and Bill! Tracy & Colin, Canada

I stayed in this condo for 9 nights with two girlfriends from 2/17/12-2/26/12. This was during the biggest weekend of Mardi Gras ending with Fat Tuesday so as you can imagine the French Quarter was crazy during this time. The location of this condo was absolutely perfect! We walked everywhere and definitely did not need a car. It is in a quieter area of the French Quarter about 2 blocks from the French Market and only about a 7-8 minute walk from all the craziness of Bourbon Street, but it was quiet enough where we could get a great night's sleep after being out and about all day and we always felt safe walking home very late at night. In additon to the delicious food at the French Market there are many shops, cafes, markets, and restaurants around the condo, our favorites being Verti Mart, Angeli's on Decatur, and Cafe Envie. The condo is not big, but just perfect enough for 3 people. It was very clean and fully stocked with everyone we needed, including all kitcken utensils, towels, bedding, toiletries, and we were pleasantly surprised to find an Aeorebed in the closet which we used. There is also a computer with internet that we used to book our tours, plus there is WIFI for those that bring laptops. Bill was very accomodating and responded immediately to any questions that I had. New Orleans is an absolutely amazing city and the condo is a perfect base from which to explore this fabulous city. We are hoping to go back again next year and will most definitely be staying at this condo again. Thanks, Bill!!

We stayed here 6 nights and loved this place. The location is absolutely perfect. Very close to the action but very quiet. Communication with the owners was great and the place really had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again when we return to NOLA. The only issue we had was the cold - the heater in the living area didn't really heat the place and it was cold. This was only a problem for one evening. But I'm still giving this condo 5 Stars as the exceptional cold in New Orleans during our December visit was... well, exceptional!

This is a great place for 1-2 people who want to stay in the French Quarter. Owner was very accessible and responsive, and everything was as promised. A couple of blocks from Bourbon St. and variety of restaurants in different directions, but removed enough that it's also very quiet. I was there for a conference on Canal St., which is about 10 blocks away. It was a long walk (about 15 min.), but it was a nice walk and I enjoyed being removed from the conference scene. If I came to New Orleans again, I would not hesitate to rent this condo - in fact, I would look forward to staying here.

A group of friends and I were in New Orleans to celebrate my birthday and Halloween this year and found the perfect accomodations for the 6 of us between this condo and another just a block down. The location could not be better. This was my third trip to New Orleans and I have stayed both right on Bourbon Street and also just a block up from it and will definitely be back to this condo on our next visit. Bourbon is nice for being close to all of the bars, etc. if you're there to party, but it's also just a short walk away and on this last trip we actually discovered a lot of areas we had never really been to on previous visits which we really enjoyed. The French Market was so close and perfect for breakfast (Muffalettas are amazing too!), Frenchmen's was so convenient, and we also spent a lot of time on Decatur which we had not done before with lots of great spots to stop in for a drink or a meal (Crescent City Brewhouse was our favourite and an amazing deal with the 2 for 1 entree coupon you can find online!) We also spent a lot of time at Margaritaville which is just a block away and has a great happy hour every day from 5-close that includes hurricanes and mojitos as a bonus! The condo itself is beautiful and very clean and comfortable (another couple we were with were actually the ones staying in it, but I'm definitely going to be booking there the next time my boyfriend and I go back) - they loved it though, no complaints whatsoever. I had the pleasure of working with Bill though to arrange everything and he is one of the best owners I've ever dealt with. He provided so much info on New Orleans to us, was very prompt with emails/calls, checked in on us to make sure all was well, and even returned the security deposit to my credit card the very day we returned which is always nice! We will absolutely be back, New Orleans is such an amazing place to be!

1 Guy and 2 Girls, There were 3 of us there in New Orleans for a Week. I Don't Think I Could have Made a Better Choice of a Place to Stay. It was Every Thing The Listing Said it Was. I had Been to New Orleans Several Times in The Past and always Stayed In Hotels, and There are some Nice Hotels in The Quarter and Each one Had it's Pluses. But This Time I Thought maybe a Condo With a Bedroom would Give The Girls More Privecy. And Very Glad We Went that Way, Location was Good, Short Walk To Anyplace in The Quarter. The Girls always felt Safe (they went Out On There own a Bit). The Condo is Stocked with everything one Could Need. Anytime I Needed Any Information The Owner Always was There With The Answers I Needed. I Know I'll Stay There Again, And Highly Recomend it.

We stayed here July 4-7, 2011. Having never been to NOLA, we totally did not know what to expect. I have used VRBO before and have always been pleased-this time I must say I was elated! The condo is in the nicest residential part of the French Quarter-close to everything (the French Market, Cafe Du Monde, Bourbon St., several very famous people have houses within 1 block of the condo-literally across the street). We met a lot of locals around the neighborhood - all very friendly and wanted to know where we were from and had a story to tell us-I loved that. The condo itself was perfect for the my husband, son and myself. We were very comfortable there and felt safe. We heard nothing at night despite being so close to everything. We were on a budget so tried to eat at least one meal there which we could do because of the fully equipped kitchen. A friend of mine was in NOLA for 3 nights leaving on the 4th. She and family stayed in a hotel. When I told her what we paid per night and the location and all we got, she could not believe it-she paid over $300/night for their hotel room! (She had taken a tour and knew exactly where our condo was!) Bill was so easy to work with and helpful sending us info and there was a map in the condo of markets close by. II got an email from him 3 days after we left that he had refunded our security deposit. I couldn't have been more pleased.

We spent a week in the condo and found it a great place to stay for exploring the city. It is close to the sights in the French Quarter, convenient for public transport and only a short walk to a small supermarket. The condo is well appointed and provides amenities often not found in holiday apartments like a safe, good storage and a well equipped kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay here immensly - it is a beautiful condo. A bit small, but exactly right for what 2 people might need. Fantastic location, you can walk anywhere, including the trolly line. Everything was fully functional. We were there when it was unseasonably hot, and one of the 2 air conditioners went out. The second unit was able to keep the condo comfortable enough, and we called the owner, and the unit was replaced with a new one within 24 hours, at no inconvenience to us. A lovely place to stay, we would definately stay there again. thank you!

My husband and I were vacationing for a week and this condo was the perfect base from which to explore the city. It is in a quiet area, but just steps from great music on Frenchman's street, just steps from Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and the French Market. The condo itself is in a lovely building and was clean, nicely decorated and had all the amenities...computer, TV, fridge, microwave, stove, etc. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back and stay here again.

My sister and I stayed here for almost a week and had a wonderful time. The condo was clean and safe. It was also in such a quaint area. The condo building is very cute with a nice private back patio. Even though we enjoyed walking the quarter, we were very close to the trolley pickup and the French Market. We plan to go back as soon as possible, and won't hesitate to stay here again. Bill was wonderful to work with.

The condo is reasonably priced and in a great location to walk to most attractions or the trolley stops. It is nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything is in working order and the grounds are very quaint. It is quiet yet in the heart of the French Quarter. I couldn't recommend it more and Brad Pitt's New Orleans home is just around the corner so you might even get in a celebrity sighting.

Location, location, location at a fantastic price for the area coupled with a historically charming unit and easy to work with owners makes this unit a five star VRBO value. This is coming from a New Orleans native with relatives near the city. We stayed during the French Quarter Festival and had a fabulous time! Hope to be back in the years to come.

Some cities you cross off the list on departure. New Orleans is a town you put an astrix next to for a return trip. We had an amazing week at this condo located in the soul of the city. Highlights included: - grooving to Kermit's band at Vaughans - lunch at Bayona - Deacon John at Snug Harbour - the smokin' sounds of the Soul Rebels at Tipatinas - soul food at Dooky's in the Treme - the impromptu midnight dance party on Frenchmans - biking up through the hoods to Bayou St John and City Park - the cooking demonstration class at the New Orleans Cooking School - getting outfitted in a fedora from Meyer's Hatter - the soulful rhythms of the Rebirth at the Maple Leaf - seeing Tennessee's Glass Menagerie at Le Petit Theatre We loved this quiet hideaway in the Quarter - the perfect location to everything in the city. It is an easy stroll from this apartment to warm beignets in the French Market, the cluster of jazz clubs on Frenchman Street or the stunning architecture of St Louis Cathedral. The unit is in a historic townhouse with lots of old world charm - high ceiling fans, brick walls and wooden shutters. We often slept late as we hardly heard a sound other than the occasional rhythm of hooves on the street out front. This cozy apartment is extremely well equipped with everything from glassware to movies. We really appreciated the self produced guidebook to New Orleans that the owners have put together. They have a real gift for capturing the extraordinarily generous spirit of this remarkable city. We highly recommend this condo in all regards! .

For our annual foodie vacation to New Orleans, my boyfriend and I decided to change our condo rental. I'm SO glad we chose this one! It is the perfect location for enjoying everything the French Quarter and Marigny have to offer! The interior was comfortable and well-decorated. The pictures don't do the place justice. One of the best features is its location in the building. Situated at the back, off the street, makes for sound sleeping or a quick nap during the heat of the afternoon. The courtyard is pretty and quiet. Bill, the owner, was very accessible and quickly answered any questions I had. There was nothing complicated about the transaction. We plan to stay in this condo next year!

Probably our 6th time in N'Awlins, and our best stay ever. Location is perfect and secure; 2 blocks from Bourbon Street, but you hear nothing. Slept like logs every night. Very reasonably priced for where it is. Didn't need a car as this was so centrally located. Nicely furnished, and a bunch of amenities (coffee, popcorn etc.). Maybe best of all---the owners are incredibly easy to work with. We'll be back!!

My wife and I flew in to NOLA the morning of December 24th, 2010. The driver of our cab found the property with no problems. Upon entry to the condo, we found that everything was as described in the listing.Since we both like to walk the cities we visit, convenience to museums, restaurants, bars, grocery, liquor and retail stores, and local points of interest is very important. About the only location that would have been much better would have been Jackson Square itself! We never needed a vehicle until it was time to leave. Additionally, Bill was the best owner I've ever dealt with. Completely honest, very helpful with questions we had, and accessible when we needed him. Their 'Guide to New Orleans' was used every day for some new adventure. I highly recommend this rental and we hope to return soon.

We had a fantastic time in New Orleans and loved staying in this condo - it's perfect for seeing the city without a car. We walked everywhere from the condo without any worry. It's also just far enough away from the madness of Bourbon street to allow you to get what little sleeping in that you have time for. As well, it's super close to great music on Frenchmen street. The condo was clean when we arrived and very easy to get to. It's perfect for a couple. The owner was also great to deal with and answered all of our questions!

The place is cute and cozy for 1 bedroom within walking distance of a lot of stuff. The Voodoo Museum and Bourbon St. and Jackson Square. The water pressure was a little low in the shower but other than that I am going to stay again!!!! The owner is nice and he is easy to get a hold of in a jam. The day of my check out I forgot my necklace and he got a hold of his property caretaker and got me inside before I had to leave New Orleans. I completely recommend it for the price! Bridget

The condo was great for 3 "over 50" ladies on a 4-day vacation. The owner was beyond gracious in all of our communications and the location of the property was close to Jackson Square, the river, the clubs on Frenchman Street and the shopping on Royal. There were terrific restaurants within walking distance, no car was needed. Two separate places to book tours were also within walking distance as well. We appreciated the coffee and popcorn that was provided. We would stay there again.

This was our first VRBO rental and my husband & I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. This condo rental exceeded our expectations. The location was convenient - loved breakfast at the little corner cafe on Decatur behind Le Richelieu. Also, thoroughly enjoyed Irene's nearby. The location was perfect for us - on the opposite side of the French quarter, near French Market, away from the noise near Canal. Yet walking distance to all the activity around Canal/Bourbon. We also really enjoyed breakfast at Cake Cafe & Bakery which is within walking distance as well. We didn't rent a car and only traveled using the streetcar and city bus. The city bus stops are closer than the streetcars. So this location is really convenient to all public transportation. I highly recommend staying here.

The unit was just as expected and a great location. The owner answered any question we had and helped us to fine parking, dinning, and sight seeing. Restaurants are close, with two, Irene's Cuisine or The Italian Barrel for great Italian food just a short walk. We found Muriel's Jackson Square for Creole great for lunch and dinner, or Stanley just across the street for breakfast - dinner is dining for everyone. New Orleans jazz is on the come back. There are two places we found 1) Palm Court Jazz Cafe and 2) Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, both are close enought to walk. We had a great time and are thinking about an early spring trip, too. We have recommended the unit to our friends.

We did not have a rental car and had no need for one. Bill was very helpful in all our correspondence with him, provided a guide to New Orleans with things to do, restaurants, maps--which we found very useful in navigating the French Quarter. A fascinating city with much to do and definitely a place we hope to be able to visit again, and would recommend this condo to others.

As promised the condo is in a prime location in the French Quarter, yet very quiet, tucked in the back by a beautiful courtyard, which we had to ourselves while there. Close to everything, yet, perfect place to relax and recharge after a busy day/night of siteseeing and dancing. Condo is fully equipped, clean and cozy. Owners quick to respond to any questions that I had. Easy, secure parking nearby. We were sad to leave this special find, but will definitely be back, hopefully soon!
