Myself along with a group of 5 families stayed at Eagle's Nest for 2 nights. The house had plenty of room for all of us. I was a little worried about the 2 bathrooms not being enough, but it was never an issue. The home is wonderfully appointed with plenty of beds for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with, and the grill outside was great to have. All we had to take with us was clothes, sleeping bags, and food. The house is very close to Snow Summit, and while we had two people go there, the rest of us stayed at the house and had a great time. The adults built sled runs just outside the house and the kids were able to sled, eat and rest all day long. I was the one who organized our trip and I'm still being thanked for getting together such an amazing trip at an amazing spot. Everyone is already asking to go back next year. Of course, I can't take all the credit, since it was mostly thanks to Mark and Patty and their beautiful home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind words. We would love to have you all come back again!!

Our group of 5 families with young kids (5-10 years olds) had a very, lovely time! Mark and Patty were easy to work with and accommodated our group for an early arrival (which depends on the departure time of the previous guests). Both adults and kids had a grand time sledding in the backyard before the property was ready for us. The home was clean, warm, and comfortable (the home is more pleasant the pictures) with a wonderful fireplace in the living room. There was plenty of firewood for at least 1 night! While the bedrooms were small (mostly taken up bunk beds with comfortable mattresses with fitted sheets), the rest of the house had plenty of space - large kitchen and dining area and a big living room to hang out in. There are plenty of plates, utensils, and pots in the kitchen. (We brought paper plates to minimize the washing.) The heating system worked great throughout the house - kept us warm. Although there are 3 showers and 2 toilets, our large group of 21 people had no issues with running out of hot water. Also, the dish soap and hand soaps were provided. There were plenty of clean bath towels and extra blankets. We would definitely come back! Thank you, Mark and Patty for your hospitality. We can't wait to come back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your wonderful review on our property! Our property has two water heaters so large groups like yours should not run out of hot water. We hope to have you all come back again real soon! Take care and God Bless!

I just visited this retreat center this last weekend. This was my first time away from my family; husband and 2 school-aged children, so you can imagine how much I needed the rest! You could either take a walk around the lake, fall asleep on the comfortable chairs overlooking the lake, or sip ice-tea with friends! You will find yourself relaxing in no time! You are surrounded by God's amazing creations and beautiful scenery! The beds are comfortable and clean. They provide dish soap, hands soap, white bathroom towels, and kitchen towels. There are fitted sheets on each bed. Although they provide extra blankets, bring either your own blanket or sleeping bad to cover yourself. The owners are very friendly serve with a smile!!! I am planning a vacation with my family for our next trip because I know our kids would enjoy the lake!! It's also a great price!!!Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words! We look forward in having you all come back again!

The Eagles Nest is a very clean well maintained facility with lots of beds. The views around the cabin are very scenic with the lake on one side and a cascading stream on the other. We had fresh snow while we were there which added even more beauty. The location is great, close to stores, restaurants and minutes from snow valley. We only stayed for the weekend but would love to return for a longer stay. The owners gave a warm welcome and seemed very easy going. The Kitchen was a little short on cereal bowls, wine glasses, cork screw & silverware considering it sleeps 26 people. If you have more than 10 people I would suggest to bring some plastic bowls, spoons, forks and knives otherwise there are plenty of plates and cooking supplies to accommodate a large group. I would recommend staying at the Eagles Nest especially if you plan on taking a lot of kids and/or teenagers. Everyone in our group had only compliments no complaints.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you! We are so glad you had a great time! Spring is here and they have just stocked the lake. So if fishing is your thing give us a call! The kitchen has been fully stocked with everything you will need. We look forward in having you come stay at Eagle's Nest again!

We held our women's retreat at Eagles Nest and all were thoroughly pleased with the accommodations and surroundings. It was a perfect set up for 18 women; the kitchen and bath facilities were plenty for our needs. We hiked, climbed rocks, sat on the patio overlooking the lake, or by the creek watching the water. The living areas were sufficient and comfortable for large group time, even with bringing in a keyboard, whiteboard, and podium! Mark and Patty attended to us quite well and were so gracious in every aspect. We will most definitely return to the Eagles Nest.Owner response: We are Blessed! Thank you!

We had an an amazing time with our family at this great retreat. The house is perfect for getting together and cooking, and playing games in the family room was a blast. Making arrangements was smooth and easy. The house is clean and you won't find a better price for the accomodations. Snow play and ski resort are just down the road. Thanks for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our YMCA Indian Princesses Tribe stayed here last February and we could not have picked a better place. That's why we are coming back again in Feb. 2011. It is a great place for a retreat with a big kitchen, dining area and a great living room with a huge fireplace. It is surrounded by beauty. For tubing or sledding you just take 2 steps out the back door. Snow Valley is 5 minutes away. Our Hosts were very gracious and helpful. Thanks for an awesome time and for that extra foot of snow!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
