Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
I am a world traveler in the travel industry. I am also a native of Tucson. After many years away, it was heaven to come home to the Sonoran Desert, its mountains and the saguaro cacti. Tucson sits in a very unique place amongst this spectacular geography! I love Tucson and its friendly and laid back people. The history is plentiful and rich, from the ancient native people, to the old west, and as a haven for people who came for their health. Tucson is a sunny and wonderful place to be. I especially love it in the winter!
Why the Owner Chose Starr Pass
This home is in the best location in Tucson! It is in the city near the conventions of downtown (including my favorite historic Mexican restaurants) yet mountain biking, hiking and other outdoor activities are right there! It is wonderful to be close to Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park (west). Bike paths along the Santa Cruz River Park are across the street. Around the corner is a non-profit native cactus and plant nursery that is wonderful to see. The historic neighborhoods of The Old Pueblo (as Tucson is also known) are just blocks away. Golfing, Spas and a 5-Star resort are very close as well. It is also near the freeway to go both north and south quickly!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Aside from location, location location, some of the unique benefits of the property are the beautiful surroundings and comfortable furnishings in a spacious home, which makes being here just plain relaxing.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this house for 5 weeks after moving to the area before our house was ready. We had an excellent stay. The house is very nicely furnished and comfortable. The house was clean and just like the pictures. We loved the back yard and grilled out often. This house has a great location with easy access from I-19. Close to downtown 4th Ave. 4th Ave has some great restaurants and bars for entertainment. The gated community felt safe and secure. The community is quiet and friendly. We had great communication with the home owner. He emailed during our stay to check how our stay was going and if we needed anything. We really enjoyed our stay here and recommend it to everyone.
Owner response:I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Its a nice view of A-Mountain while you are grilling! You enjoyed it during one of the warmest times of the year, I hope you made use of the outdoor soaking tubs, for a cooling and relaxing way to endure the heat! A second tub has been added. Yes, the house is quite close to all downtown/entertainment areas. Welcome to Tucson!

My wife, our son and I stayed in this wonderful condo for the month of March, 2011. The accommodations and our interaction with the owner exceeded our expectations. The condo is more spacious than the web site pictures suggest. It is also very comfortable. It has a double garage and the fact that it is located in a gated community added a degree of safety. The kitchen is well equipped and has new appliances. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There are two bathrooms, a well-equipped laundry room as well as two televisions, wireless access to the internet and a printer. The owner made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for a great vacation. The location was also perfect for us. Our son is an avid cyclist and we enjoy walking and biking so we appreciated the close access to bike/walking paths, as well as the two mountain bikes that were available for our use. The condo is also close to the Interstate. This made it easy and quick to get around most parts of the city. Shopping malls and grocery stores are just a few minutes away by car. We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this location.
Owner response:It was a pleasure having our Canadian neighbors from the north in sunny Tucson. They really enjoyed the house and the amenities provided. It worked out well for their adult son and his road biking interest. I hope to see them again!

January-February 2011 stay at this property

My wife and I stayed here during the Gem and Mineral show times and just found this to be the perfect location in too many ways to mention. The home is spacious, the garage adds a lot of safe temporary storage, the kitchen is fully loaded with everything needed to prepare meals at home, the appliances are new and function flawlessly. The beds are very comfortable, the showers have a steady overhead delivery of even temp hot water, the appliances are fairly quiet, the furniture is classy and not made in China!!! The landlord and his local representative provide timely replies and actions to any need that arises. The back yard has a peaceful setting that provides a nice view of "A" mountain. It is only 1,5 miles to the Convention Center and the availability of two bikes makes accessing the mineral venues just west of I-10 a snap since parking is impossible during show times. We simply loved our 30 day stay here and hope that we will be able to do it again in future years. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to have a relaxing, safe and comfortable stay in Tucson.
