About the villa and Las Terrenas... we loved every minute of it. It was one of the best holiday experiences of our lives. The villa was very beautiful and it was more than we hoped for, but people were the best feature of the holiday in villa San Lucas. We just loved Isabelle and Wendy. Wendy is an amazing cook ( I would definetely suggest to hire her for a week if you want to experience Dominican home cooking) and Isabelle went over her duties of the manager of the villa so we could have the best possible holiday. Neither we or our friends will ever forget the week we spent in Las Terrenas. Everything else suggested by Dominique and Isabelle, and by that I mean the wedding, the Alisei hotel, Nancy and Helen as wedding organizers, worked perfectly well. We also had the most perfect weather on that day. I don't think that ever before I've written a review like this full of superlatives and compliments, I am very happy to be able to write it and to mean every word of it.

We were a group of 9 people between 24 and 30 years old. We spend two weeks in the Villa San Lucas in January 2012. The Villa is just great – very clean and comfortable! The pool and the environment are very beautiful – we spent a lot of time at the Villa relaxing by the pool. Just a short walk you will get to a nice sandy beach – Caribbean feelings! The city is also very close to the Villa and you will find there everything you need. The nightlife is also great – there are some bars and clubs where you can celebrate. In the city there is a tourist office where you can book various excursions – highly recommended! The organisation was just perfect! Dominique was very helpful and answered all our questions so we could travel very relaxed to our holidays. Isabelle (the contact person on site) and Wendy (Housekeeper) also did a great job and were very helpful! In the night there is a watchman who is looking of you – so you can feel very safe there. In short – we had a wonderful time in Las Terrenas and it is highly recommended to visit this place and the Villa San Lucas!

Our stay in Villa San Lucas was truly amazing – it is too often that pictures are deceiving, and that accommodations are far from how they are depicted as advertised; this certainly was not the case. The Villa was absolutely stunning, clean, and comfortable. We had a wide range of people (aged 25-65) and each person enjoyed it as much as the next. We spent quite a lot of time at the Villa relaxing by the pool, but did get to experience the city as well. We rented mopeds and ATV’s and toured through the city – was a great experience. Mindful of the local rules and overall environment, we certainly did not feel unsafe at any time. The beach was a short walk and was absolutely pristine – something I was not expecting on the Atlantic. Wendy was an absolutely amazing cook, and prepared 4 fabulous dinner for us; we also experienced a great local restaurant. Isabelle helped us out when we arrived and provided us with details as to where everything was located, and the best way to go about different activities. We went on a Humpback whale watching tour mid-week, and it was also a fantastic experience. We will certainly be returning – I have stayed at half a dozen all-inclusive resorts, and this was one of the best vacation experiences I have had. Thank you very much for the continual contact throughout the entire process, and making this booking as simple as possible; between the stories we have told and the picture that have been sent around, we already know of many other families that are interested in Villa San Lucas.

We spend 2 splendid weeks at Villa San Lucas. We were a group of 13 and everything was organized to the most minute detail (from reservations, distinct transfers to the villa, check-in, diner upon arrival, breakfast, room configuration...)Thumbs up for Dominique, Henri and Isabelle who did not leave anything to chance. As far as the Villa San Lucas is concerned, it is beautiful, spacious (enven for such a large group), very clean and well kept. The garden is very agreable with lots of room for kids to play. Again, five star hotel service in a villa setting. We had the immense pleasure of having Wendy cook delicious Dominican meals for us (strongly recommended). If you do not care for long walks to town, you should definitely rent a scooter or quad. The grocery store, fruits and seafood vendors deliver to the Villa! Playa Las Ballenas is beautiful and Las Terrenas is rather quaint. To plan your outings (site visits, restaurants or night clubs) be sure to consult Isabelle's personalized guidebook on the living room coffee table; it has all the information you need! In short, you will not be disappointed! Enjoy your vacation!

We traveled to Las Terrenas with our children, thier spouses (and sig. other) and our grandchildren. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The house was clean, beautiful and comfortable. The pool is wonderful and it's only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We loved it! Wendi was very helpful in keeping the house clean, and Isabelle helped with local information we needed and even called to check in with us to make sure we were having fun and to see if we needed help with anything.

We enjoyed our stay in Las Terrenas very much, but we enjoyed the stay at your house even more .... In addition of been a beautiful house, it was perfect for us and for what we wanted to accomplish, being together in a pleasant and relax atmosphere. The house is exactly as we saw it in the pictures, the staff was very nice and Isabelle was very sweet and helpful. Las Terrenas is a colorful Caribbean town with its pros and its cons, like any other place. One of the pros has to be the beautiful beaches that it has within walking distance or a few minutes away by car; it also has a number of informal restaurants where to go for lunch or dinner. One of the cons I believe, is the last part of the road to get there when traveling from Santo Domingo. We saw some work been done, so we think the government is already working on this.

January 16 to January 23, 2010 After vacationing at an all-inclusive resort last year with my daughter and her family, my husband and I thought that we would try something different this year. Not ever experiencing renting a villa before, we really were not sure what to expect. Henri and Dominique were great at booking us in at the last minute. Their communication via emails and phone took some of the worry out of us doing something out of the box. They even offered to have someone do our first grocery shop. We arrived at Villa San Lucas in the late afternoon. We were greeted by Isabella who was welcoming, professional, kind and very helpful. She informed us of what would be going on at the villa like the schedules for such services as housekeeping, pool cleaning and lawn care. She was there to help us set up excursions as well, although the thought of leaving Villa San Lucas wasn’t really something that any of us wanted to do. Isabella made us aware that we would have a night watchman named Domingo. We met Domingo that very night too. The villa itself was absolutely stunning and very well appointed. Each of the main villas bedrooms had en-suites. The kitchen was well equipped with everything one could possibly want including a blender to make P?na Coladas. The main building was beautiful with plenty of luxurious indoor and outdoor living areas including a beautiful wrap around porch off of the master bedroom which occupied the entire second floor. There was another smaller villa that housed two more bedrooms and that shared one bathroom. There was also a laundry and utility building close to both villas. We rented a car so that we could get some supplies and explore the area of beautiful Las Terrenas. The town had everything required for groceries and supplies. The beach was just a short walk from the villa and was one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. There were a few beach bars and plenty of selection for dining out. This villa exceeded our expectations in both the villa itself and the staff that made our vacation perfect. Muchas gracias amegos 10/10 for sure….Mike and Linda Foley

We have just returned from two wonderful weeks at Villa San Lucas. The only complaint that I have is that we had to return home. The villa is bright and cheerful. Very clean . On site staff (Isabelle & Wendy) were wonderful, very accomodating and full of helpful hints and good cheer. The location is wonderful - close to a wonderful white sand beach and to the restaurants and the entertainment of the village and yet actually it's private. The Pool is great , in a middle of a flowered garden .We were in the ocean everyday, just a quick few steps away and there you go. We didn't even connect our cell phones. There is a phone in the house for local calls. We kept up with home via our laptop (thanks to the connection in the house) I would suggest this house to everyone I know looking for a really peaceful and refreshing vacation (or maybe not - let's keep it a secret -). One last thing.. I had been having a problem with my knee, the villa is on one level and is very easy to manuever around. No problem with steps or difficult walks up hills to the parking area. It's great, bring sunscreen and have a fabulous vacation! Watch out for the speed bumps in the roads.
