We are a couple in our early sixties and were looking for a quiet semi secluded getaway and this place fit the bill perfectly. We took day trips to the Grand Canyon and surrounding sights and being that it was November it was pretty cold outside so we could not wait each day to get back to the pool, sauna and jacuzzi tub that the house has to offer.....we cooked all of our meals at the house and found the kitchen had everything we needed and also enjoyed the Direct Tv music and movies....overall the house was very clean and we had everything we needed and expected.....we will be back when it is warm outside next time so we can enjoy the outside as much as we enjoyed the inside of the house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

If you like solitude and privacy, this place is for you. The home is more beautiful than the photos. It was spotless and we had absolutlely no problems. The pool was awesome to come back after a day of hiking. The grounds were well kept and the view was gorgeous, sunrise & sunset. The night sky was beautiful. The owner was quick to answer emails and questions prior to our arrival and the caretaker met us, was super friendly and explained everything we needed to know. It isn't far from Vegas and we had a fun time zip lining at Bootleg Canyon near Boulder City. We took a raft trip on the lower portion of the Hoover Dam and also stopped at the Hacienda Hotel & Casino, which is nearby. Lake Mead is beautiful and the drive from Vegas was interesting. I left my phone charger and emailed the owner after we left. It was in the mail when we returned home. I can't say enough nice things about this beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family of 7 stayed at this home for 4 days and we had a blast. We swam in the indoor pool and used the sauna. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bed rooms very comfortable. The owner was very helpful in every aspect. The home is located 12 miles outside Dolan springs so you have to do a bit of traveling day to day. We would recommended this home and will also return in the future. Love renting from VBRO. As a footnote we were able to split our vacation in to two homes. We went from The Dolan springs home after 4 days and drove to Vegas, an hour away and stayed there for 4 days. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home was very well maintained and clean and the pictures were right on. I thought it was a great deal for the price. There is a bit of driving to do to get to many activities but it was a great location for us to investigate the area and had fun going to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and a trip down the Colorado River. Loved having breakfast in the morning on the patio and watching all the Quail & rabbits run around. It was a very peaceful, private home all to ourselves. Thanks for the memories.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family are just back from an awesome trip to Arizona! We loved the property and the strange but beautiful area! The property was a little hard to spot at night but Kirk came out and met us and we were right back on track! It is beautiful and spacious like the pictures show! It is a small town but we are use to the small town life as we live in one, and Kingman is only 45mins away approx. It was so relaxing in the pool and sauna and my 3 teens loved it there! We went on some hikes in the local area and saw some snakes, lizards, rabbits and cows! Kirk came and took care of any small issues or concerns immediately and was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area! My son (18) says he would love to live there! Well it certainly is warmer then Petawawa! We wish we had our ATV because it would be great to ride it there! We went on route 66 and it was cool, especially Oatman! We also went to the Grand Canyon and it is Amazing!! Then Hoover Dam and Boulder City both we loved. We spent a day in Vegas which we found was our least favourite, but has good shopping and neat to see the lights. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet out of the way spot to escape to after a day of site seeing! Hope to see you soon, Rancho Relaxo, (our little nickname for the house).Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hi, Thank you for a lovely house near the grand canyon. Our family loved the pool and relaxed atmosphere of the house. The trip to the South Rim was by far the best experience of our trip. Thanks, SarahDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Upon arrival to the house, in the middle of nowhere, I was very dismayed at the complete and utter lack of condiments, spices, and overall general amenities. Normally, there are at least basics in any rental property where I have stayed. This house had absolutely NOTHING in the fridge, freezer, cupboards, etc, with the exception of tea bags and small packets of nutrasweet and sugar. It was definitely a pain to have to go back out and buy ketchup, mayo, mustard, butter, etc. There was also only one garbage bag and not even enough laundry detergent to complete one load of wash! With 4 small boys, I found that fairly ridiculous, since I had to go back out and buy detergent in order to wash their clothes, but also all the towels from the pool, etc.Owner response: We appreciate any feedback from previous guests. Unfortunately due to allergies and personal preference we no longer provide laundry detergent or static sheets. We do, however provide you with a full size washer and dryer at no extra cost. Because of the properties location we instruct every guest multiple times to grocery shop before heading out the property. It is such a small town that the two grocery stores do not always have items that larger grocery chains have. It is also detailed in our Rules & Regulations what exactly we provide and if there are any special requests prior to check in we have had problem providing these items. We have even had wine shipped and ready at the property for guests from Canada, and grocery shopped for guests in the past.

DESERT HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!

My family of six spent Spring Break at this delightful home. It truly felt like our home away from home. It's location was secluded and quiet with an awesome view of the desert and local mountains. The home's atmosphere was inviting and comfortable no matter what we were doing....whether cooking dinner together, sitting out on the back porch enjoying the desert air and views, curled up on the couch watching TV, or spending quality family time in the indoor pool. The location was a bit off the beaten path but was central to our itinerary. While staying at this home for 7 days, we visited the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon Caverns. The caretakers, Kirk & Kat, were great. They met us at the property when we arrived, gave a complete tour of the property, and were available when we were having issues with the pool. The only negative thing about our experience at this paradise was when the pool heater quit working on the 2nd day of our stay and was unable to be fixed. The kids still swam in the freezing cold water, so not all was lost. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience and I would recommend it to other adventrous families!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved staying here. The owners have made a point to have everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. If you're looking for an oasis in the desert, here it is. It is just a little far from points of interest but such a welcome relief when you return from touring the area.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.

Home is super, the inside pool is fantastic. All property contacts were all very helpful, someone met us even though we got there very late to show us the property and give us keys. There is a lot to do close Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon Skywalk, Grand Cayon Cavern, lake Meade and Route 66. The house was well-furnished and felt like a private resort. Has great sunsets and many Joshua trees. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Not much in Dolan Springs you have to drive about 35 minutes to larger city Kingman for shopping and restaurants.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
