Wonderful rental house and location! We truly enjoyed the evenings out on the large porch overlooking the property and the spacious house. The people we dealt with were very friendly - we hope to stay again in the future.

Wonderful!

What a wonderful place out in the country. The rocking chairs on the porch were perfect to sit with a glass of wine and watch the clouds roll by and the cows stroll by. The farm house was very clean and had everything that we needed. We will be coming back in the fall, if you will let us! Thank you so much for sharing your place with us. We had dinner at The Union Hotel - a bit of a drive (about 40 minutes) but was absolutley worth it. The food was outstanding!

Beautiful Outdoor Wedding

Guest: Aunty (Hollidaysburg, PA)
Date of Stay: 06/25/10 Review Submitted: 12/20/10

We celebrated our family-style wedding entirely at Blossom Hill Farm. From the breath taking views on the hill tops for the ceremony, to the dinner served on the beautiful porch, it was all gorgeous! It was such a unique and easy going place to host a wedding! Everyone had a great time and loved the farm. We hosted games in the yard, the kids took walks through the orchard and around the pond. And the ride to the top of the hill was such a hit! You feel like you are going uphill forever! The outdoors were the main site, but the indoor accomodations backed it up beautifully. Pleanty of room for out of town guests, preparing food, and just sitting in the air conditioning. Overall, we loved it and everyone still talks about how they loved it too! We want to celebrate all our anniversaries at Blossom Hill for years to come!

Old-fashioned Family Reunion

Guest: Dorothy (Lancaster)
Date of Stay: 07/15/10 Review Submitted: 07/19/10

Nearly all members of my immediate family, spanning four generations, came together for several days at the Blossom Hill farm this past week. We had one of the best family gatherings ever, and since getting home we've been sharing photos (online) of the many glorious things that we did together. The house is ideal for a large family. We all had very comfortable beds, and the 3 baths were perfectly laid out and convenient. We spent much of our time on the porch overlooking the meadow, watching families of turkeys pass back and forth as they ate. We hiked up and down the hills, along the ridge, and back and forth to the barn to see kittens. The hike along the ridge is truly spectacular. At one point, we climbed the highest knob along the trail, and the view of ridge after ridge with mist filling the valleys below was breathtaking. Each evening we played family games in the kitchen, which has a large island that everyone can sit around. This was the family "hearth" for us, where we shared corn on the cob, bison burgers (from the nearby bison farm) that we grilled on the patio, and freshly picked peaches. The house is very well maintained and clean. The owners and the caretakers were wonderfully courteous, kind, and friendly. Looking back on our vacation, my fondest memories are of us all sitting on the large wrap-around porch, which has many rockers and two picnic tables. The porch has ceiling fans, so even when it was hot, we were comfortable. We sat there at sunrise and sunset, as well as most of the afternoon and after dark. The children ran around below, blowing bubbles, playing ball, and throwing frisbees. The woodland and pond animal sounds after dark were delightful. Everyone in the family is asking me when we can go back again, and no one wanted to leave!

The rooms were large and spacious. There was plenty of parking available. The grounds were well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. We enjoyed sitting on the large wrap around porch and taking in the view of the beautiful countryside. While the house appears to have been built at the turn of the 20th Century, it has been renovated and has all of the modern conveniences. We would definitely stay there again.

I wanted to drop a note to say how much the family enjoyed the weekend at the farm. The house is beautiful, the weather was perfect, and Jessica the farm house manager and her family were very helpful and accommodating. My daughter and granddaughter especially enjoyed it and are talking about a girls long weekend with a few others sometime late summer, early fall time frame. The view from the very top was spectacular!

My 4 girlfriends and I had the pleasure of visiting Blossom Hill Farm this past weekend in January. Even in the dead of winter, the farmhouse is charming and inviting. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was exquisite. It was fully stocked and provided state of the art appliances, as well as plenty of seating. It was a great place to cook, prepare and share all our special dishes. The managers were very accommodating and even allowed us to visit a newborn calf, and name him, Frosty, as our reminder of our wonderful winter get away. We look forward to coming back during a different season, and experiencing the full beauty of this unique find. Lisa J., Woodstock, MD

We had a fabulous time at the farm!!!! We loved it sooo much, we are actually talking about looking for properties in the area. We played in the snow and I think it snowed just about every day we were there! It was amazing! The farmhouse was immaculate! I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for serenity and peacefulness in a country setting. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!! We relaxed on the porch overlooking the pond, did an old fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow, covered bridge tour, skiing at Blue Knob, hiking through the woods, sledding on the hills of the farm and orchard. What more could we have asked for? A little piece of heaven from years gone by. We all seem to forget that it's the simple things in life that are the best things! Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm with us! My daughter’s boyfriend flew in to surprise her and they walked down the entrance and went down to the stream where there was a huge log fallen and he surprised us all and proposed to her!!!!! It was so romantic! It was simply magical! All of our family is in PA, but all of his family is in Texas so we may be back in touch for a wedding! I would also love to visit in the fall when the leaves are turning. It was heaven to me! Jessica the farm house manager and her husband and Donnie and Susan the land managers were absolutely as sweet as could be! We ended up doing three sleigh rides with Dustin and he was wonderful as well! We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more!!!!And thank you for the welcome basket! It was amazing! We actually ended up purchasing several bags of Ida Reds and about a dozen jars of apple butter! Those apples were delicious!!!!Thank you for a wonderful time! I look forward to coming again!
