Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

I grew up in Arizona and returned gratefully after spending decades in cold harsh climates where I dreamed every winter of southwestern sunsets, bougainvillea, and palm trees. Now I have them again, and I invite you to share them. My house has a fully equipped apartment that goes directly out to the solar-heated pool and large garden patio with a pergola and places to bask or eat. There's a separate private entry to the guest unit, as well as access to good laundry machines. Everything is included. Guests have their own wireless internet, security alarm, premium cable TV, heating/cooling thermostat, and cooking facilities. There's plenty of closet space, good light, and an excellent sofa-bed in the office as well as a Stearns & Foster queen bed in the bedroom. Cleaning service is available if you want it.

Why the Owner Chose San Clemente

I bought the house because I fell in love with its grace and privacy, its protected gardens, and its location in one of the original Tucson neighborhoods, San Clemente, which is now a nationally designated "historic" district. The house is from 1938; the apartment was added later but is in the same style. The location is excellent -- it's quiet but central, with easy access to restaurants, parks, zoo, tennis, golf, shopping, biking, hiking, and the university.

The Unique Benefits of this Apartment

This location has the advantage of being centrally located but very private. It's an oasis in town.
