We hang out with our friends and family to get away from cell phone, the internet and life's pressing manners that turn out not so important. Frank (not the "Frank") and John turn up the volume to play rock & roll on their guitars while Anne & Jaynne make sure the wine glasses are continually full! Thursday nights are committed to Vladimir's where we hang with the locals and enjoy spectacular meals and local music. Wow, what a great time. Saturdays we travel to Pt. Reyes Station and enjoy the Farmer's Market and buy fresh fish, beef and produce for our meals and we hit the retail shops as well, including Bovine Bakery (Wowza) and the Market (Can't think of the name!). You will have a great time. Restaurants include the Pt. Reyes Station, and a trip up to Marhsall to visit Tony's Seafood and, of course, Nick's Cove for dinner - all a beautiful thing and delicious all the way around!

We had a terrific 10 days here relaxing, enjoying the view, playing games and playing in the hot tub. This is a fantastic house with everything you could possibly want or need. I also enjoyed the book collection and read up on California geology. Future occupants: we highly recommend the drive out Pierce Point Rd. to do the hike to McClure’s Beach. Walk to the end of the beach and you’ll find a narrow passage to another beach. A lovely family vacation.”

“We were so grateful to spend these days among the rhododendrons, misty mornings, birds and breezes…We have been much inspired by the books and natural history guides…found many wildflowers from the pages on our daily hikes. Frank and Virginia make us want to live fuller lives. Thank you.”

“We have had a wonderful time here for the Memorial Day weekend. The house is very homey and comfortable for our two families. The hot tub is a big hit for the kids. The weather is just perfect. We did several long hikes, and spent time on the beach. The hosts are very warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. They made our stay so much more enjoyable! We all love the beautiful garden. Thank you for the wonderful time!"

“This is our second visit but won’t be our last. We love Point Reyes and this is the perfect house for a longish visit. We had several really great hikes: out the door to Inverness Ridge; Bayview Trail then up Drake’s View Trail; out to Tomales Point through the Tule Elk reserve; Chimney Rock and the Lighthouse; from Bear Valley to Mt. Wittenberg to Sky Camp to Bay View trailhead to Inverness Ridge and back ‘home’. Yesterday we explored the fire roads from the town of Inverness up to Mount Vision Road and back down a second fire trail. This is just an amazing area. Today our last day it is raining with heavy fog, but still just beautiful! Thank you Scott, and Kitsy for the great flowers and comfort.”

“We had the BEST week here! Your house is beautiful and the views spectacular. The weather our whole time here (aside from Easter Sunday) was perfect. We did a lot of day trips. San Fran. 2 days, Armstrong Woods, Muir Woods, Point Reyes Lighthouse, Sonoma. Every single road we took and direction we went was just a beautiful drive. We really enjoyed the hot tub every night and seeing all the stars, and the peacefulness out here. Wonderful place, wonderful vacation. Thank you so much!”

Everything about the setting is spectacular–the views from every angle, the comfort, the openness to the outdoors but the warmth of the fireplace and hot tub…” “This house is wonderful.
