Maybe you will choose to walk the 4-5 blocks to the University of Ottawa to see its world renowned campus? Or, will you rent a car to tour the outskirts of Ottawa and maybe pick up some local produce from the area's farmers for your dinner you are planning to prepare in the Cordon Bleu Grand Diplome chef-designed kitchen?
Maybe you are in the mood to wander the esteemed halls of the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Nature, or the Royal Canadian Mint (all within a 10-20 minute walk or a 5-10 minute bus ride).

Whatever you plan to do, it is all within a convenient distance of this historical, lovingly restored 1871, 1100 square foot (approx. 110 sq metres) home in the heart of Ottawa, the capital city of Canada.
The home is within a 2 hour drive to Montreal, Quebec, so a day trip, either by bus, train or car, is possible. Two cities in one visit!

- Murphy Bed: The Murphy bed is new (2009) and the queen mattress is new (2009). This is located in the Grand room and has its own bathroom with shower (new 2009). This area is at the front end of the condo unit and the master bedroom (with its own ensuite-bath and shower) is located at the other end of the unit and both are separated by the large kitchen.

- Cooking Utensils Provided: Everything you could want! Great knives, cutting boards, whisks, bowls, pans, appliances, etc. If it is not there, you don't need it!

- Deck/Patio: Lovely terrace overlooking the Grand room and kitchen. Separate entrance from kitchen. Quaint, private, a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. Room for 4-6. Lots of surface area to prepare drinks, food, etc. Well lit at night for evening entertaining.

- Monument View: When you step outside the front door and turn to your right you can see the top of the Parliament buildings. A few steps and you reach a bus stop that services 5 major routes. Or, you can choose to walk to many major tourist desinations, and most are within 10-20 minutes from the front door.

- Telephone (4) : Unlimited local calling included. You would need long distance calling cards to call anywhere else in the world. Phone cards are available within 50 feet of the front door, 24/7.

Within 10 minutes drive/walk of the front door you can visit the province of Quebec including swimming in famous Meech Lake in the summer or ski in Gatineau Park in the winter. Or, maybe you prefer the Byward Market where you can pick up the fresh ingredients you will need to prepare a great gourmet dinner in your chef-designed kitchen. You may prefer to walk to one of the 4 live theatre venues or the rep theatre to view a foreign flick.
