Amazing condo

We stayed in the condo for 3 nights during Winterlude and we had an amazing time! The condo was spotless and clean and beautifully decorated in a unique and charming way. The kitchen and bathrooms had almost everything you would need and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We did not have a car but there was no shortage of taxis driving by every few minutes. We also bundled up and walked to the grocery store and lcbo (5 to 10 min) and up to the mall, parliament, and byward market (approx 15 min). This condo is centrally located and it is very obvious how much care is put into the details to make your experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible.

We are a family of four from Christchurch, NZ, and stayed 5 nights in Ottawa in early January. The property is just as the photos show, and was a delight to stay in. The fittings and accessories etc are all top of the range, and this would certainly be the place to stay for any gourmet cooks. Our culinary abilities were no match for this kitchen! The location is very good, and as we had a vehicle, the off-street parking was also a bonus. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this condo for 5 nights during the middle of September 2011. As promised we were met upon arrival and shown everything we needed to know about the condo. It was spotlessly clean upon arrival and every convenience was in place - from towels, soap, tourist information to spices in the spice rack. We truly felt like we were at home during our stay. TV, internet connection and air conditioner worked flawlessly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can wholeheartedly recommended same to to anyone looking for clean, quite, centralized accommodation in a charming part of town. The bus stop right outside conveniently took us to everywhere we needed to go in Ottawa. Groceries and other supplies can be found within a 3 minute walk. The pizza at the pub/restaurant kitty corner from the condo was excellent. When we next visit Ottawa, we are making a point to reserve well in advance to stay here again!

Exceptional accommodations, beautifully appointed unit with more ammenities than ever expected. The kitchen is fantastic and fully stocked. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the terrace is lovely little spot to relax and have a drink. Great location, we will definitely be back again!

Three of us stayed in this well appointed and very comfortable unit in August 2011. Our stay was only for 3 nights but we would have liked to have stayed longer. We were met on arrival by Daniel who proved to be very helpful and available 24 hours per day should we have needed anything. The location of the unit on Rideau Street is perfect, close enough to the city to walk, or a bus is just outside. If you are going to Ottawa and want a great place to stay, then look no further, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

long overdue is this review, the condo is beautifully remodeled in an older section of Rideau Street. everything is impeccably maintained and the support from the property manager was supurb.... there is lots close by, Parliament, Gatinueau and greater Ottawa, bus stop right out the door and 10 min right to capital hill HIGHLY Recommended

Good location, lovely colours in the flat! Exelent air conditions and a nice place to sit outside.Tthe most impression to me was that the owners trustet those who rent the flat, all this nice cups, glasses etc. just like beeing in a very very nice home. This property is a find! The salon-like living and dining areas are beautiful and the decoration in every room is exceptional. Make dinner on the best and most varied equipment you'll find in any rental and serve it on china with crystal. Immerse yourself in the blue and yellow of Provence - c'est si bon.

Four of us stayed here in May to attend a family wedding. Daniel was waiting for us on the doorstep and couldn't have been more helpful! The condo was very clean and presentable, and kitchen was very well desinged and appointed! It is close to everything (The little bakery/cafe across the street is a must!). The entire weekend went very smoothly and we couldn't have been happier :) Looking to stay again this year!

Strikingly outfitted

We stayed at this property for 3 nights in April 2011. It was exceptionally well equipped and clean. The owner has spared no expense, yet is relaxed enough to allow you to eat anything in the pantry and simply note if anything runs out. The bed was firm, the bedding was warm, and the internet was fast and reliable. Very creative use of space and bold design, too. A little street noise comes in the front from the big street, but the back is serene and safe (we slept with the window open a crack), and the dedicated parking spot a great plus. Being on a big street also meant that we could catch a bus to anywhere, but we mostly walked - Parliament hill is 2km down the street.

Owner response:The windows are triple pane glass and effectively block out the outside noise. There is air conditioning our guests control so no need to keep the windows open at night while sleeping. The parking spot is just outside the terrace fence so quite convenient.

For anyone looking for a home away from home while in Ottawa, this is the place! My friend, her daughter and I just came back from a week in Ottawa. We were out every day and found that we were always so happy to come back to this oasis of tranquility. Our favourite spot was the kitchen, although the rest of the place was great too. What a great collection of cookbooks to browse through and the kitchen is even better stocked than my one at home. We would pick up some food from the nearby grocery stores and specialty shops and just sit and chat in the kitchen. It is an easy stroll to the Byward Market shops and restaurants which makes it a fabulous location. Can't wait to go back to Ottawa again, and hopefully we can stay here again.

Owner response:It is a food lovers' paradise but it is also a great convenience to keeping your costs down so you can have more to spend on "fun" things like sightseeing and shopping. Eating out all the time can get to be quite expensive.

Our family stayed in this remarkable condo Feb/11 and were truly WOWed. The gourmet kitchen is the best we have ever experienced. Daniel made us feel welcome from the moment we met him at the front door. The location is great for exploring downtown Ottawa.and we plan to stay here whenever we visit Ottawa in the future.

Traditional-style house magnificently renovated and richly decorated. It made us feel that we were staying at a friends house by the way the owners comfortably furnished and well-equipped the condo. The PS3 was well appreciated by our two teenagers who occupied the corner master bedroom and accompanying washroom. We certainly look forward to returning there. A great thanks to Daniel, who is perfectly bilingual, for his warm greeting to us at our arrival.

All four people in our party thouroughly enjoyed this wonderful condo.It truly is beautifully designed and decorated and the "culinary chef's kitchen" is so well stocked with specialty foods, spices & herbs, vinegars & oils, pastas and rice and so much more...that it makes you feel "at home" immediately. There is nothing missing in this condo! We were able to have a friend for lunch while we were there. I was able to prepare and serve the meal right there. It was so much better than going to a restaurant.. We spent seven nights in this condo and it was just so enjoyable to return to after a day of activity and siteseeing in Ottawa. It truly is within walking distance of the highlites of Ottawa. If you want to travel a little further to the outskirts of the city, public transportation is literally 10 steps from your front door. I would certainly return to this condo if I return to the city and will definately recommend it to my friends and family.

Ottawa charm

This condo is a small oasis a 5-min walk from the main attractions of downtown Ottawa. The condo has a plethora of design and culinary charms, given that the owner, a graduate from a prestigious culinary school, has shared her passion for the culinary arts by providing us renters with a fully equipped kitchen. The area of town is safe, the bed comfortable, and the living room spacious. The entertainment system is tops and there are 2 supermarkets a few minutes walking distance. One of our better stays, with excellent service from the owner.

I stayed at this charming and great located condo as I was at a conference in town. I was so close to everything!..the Byward Market, shops, the Parliament Buildings, etc. I felt like a princess...the beddings were sumptuous, everythng was so new and clean, the decor was wonderful. It felt like I was in a suite at a luxury condo, but more!

Ottawa Gem

Whenever I research for out-of-town accommodation, on the top of my requirements list are cleanliness, location, safety, and access to shopping, transportation and/or parking. Next comes what the area has to offer to fulfill my food and entertainment wishes. I was very pleased that this property met all the requirements, and then some. It is a spacious, tasteful, delightful home that combines elegance with a sense of homeyness. The kitchen is beyond ordinary, complete with every device one would need to make a gourmet meal. An outside enclosed patio is off the kitchen. The open-concept living/dining room, with its ten-foot ceilings and eclectic furniture is refined and cosy at the same time. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable with abundant closet space. It is centrally located and everything is easily accessible. Buses are available at the front door. There is a 24-hour management company that is ready to take care of any issue that may arise, and even though nothing ever did, it was comforting to know that assistance was only a phone call away. Whenever I need to go to Ottawa, this is the unit I seek to check first for availability.
